Being out of the capital is a real challenge. We've just moved into a regional from Brisbane and are keeping our Brisbane FS, but it does mean big stays in the city (which can be expensive) and flights at the last minute (also expensive). Wouldn't change FS for the world though.
We did a Froz ET this month and monitered it with BT with pathology lab, but they were so unreliable FS says we are going to medicated cycle next time round.
Hope you get home soon and Monday's scan is monster.
I hadn't checked back in here since my last post - because I thought I was a bit of a loner in here... but y'all got the party started without me
LOOPS ; I am pretty sure we were both in this thread on my first cycle... I started jabs 31st December and got my BFN (boooo!) in Feb 2010. I am happy that we'll be at about the same time as each other - hopefully this is our time...!
ONEDAY - chin up! I know exactly how you feel! Our first ICSI cycle - I was CONVINCED it was going to work! We had 6 or 7 great embryos... but apparently the first 4-5 days are all the egg's work - then the sperm needs to do it's job - and well, it didn't... I really thought that the whole thing was to get the sperm to the egg and into the uterus... and that all the drugs, hormones, supplements would be beacons of flashing welcome lights for this little emby... but no. My hubby has poor morphology (anywhere btwn 1-4%) I have him on Menevit, CoQ10 Supplement, Omega Fish Oils, no spas/saunas, boxer shorts & Acupuncture... poor guy. Luck you about Fiji! Maybe you can ask your FS to email or call the result through? You don't want to be stewing on it?
KASS - i'm sorry x
TERRY - fingers crossed for this FET. sending you happy, positive vibes...
DREAMSINTOREALITY - Everything going to plan is a REALLY good thing! My first was a complete rollercoaster - but in some way - I think that it was just prepping me for this time 'round... which *HAS TO BE* the real deal!! Best of luck to you...! Hope everything keeps going just as smoothly!
As for me.... I just want it over with! Bring on AF! I never look forward to AF - but I really want to get this ball rolling so that it can stop consuming my life - and I can actually move physically towards my goal... I have a HORRENDOUSLY painful wisdom tooth flair up right now - comes and goes regularly... and I am worried that it's going to turn into an infection and I'm gonna have to get them out ASAP... this will mean cancelling this cycle... so I am hoping, hoping that it jut miraculously goes away on it's own. Damn wisdom teeth.
I hope you don't mind me just hanging about here - it feels a bit funny to keep checking in when I'm not actively doing anything!
Fatgirlslim - I've been putting off having my wisdom teeth done for years - I feel your pain! Hope it clears itself up soon (and stays good for at least a year!)
Dreams - sounds like you're going well - Good luck for your scan tomorrow
True - so sorry it didn't stick this time. Hope your coeliacs test comes back clear, restrictive diets aren't easy - though I'm sure with your mum and sis you'd handle it fine.
Loops, oneday - you're right - even though it feels wrong to be hoping for a chemical, it would still be a big step forward. I'm really worried after 6 transfers that something is going very wrong if not even one can stick for a while.
Well I haven't had this much time on my hands in months, so another post from me
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend (well as wonderful as it can be)
Intheslowlane: Do you know about the Qld government rebate that you can get if you live more than a certain distance away from specialists, etc? As we don't have a FS remotely close to us, we get a percentage of travel and accommodation costs refunded to us. If you would like more details on it, let me know.
GL with your upcoming cycle! FX it all works out for the best
Fatgirlslim: Waiting for AF seems to be the longest wait. Hope she comes soon so that you can get the show on the road. That's not good about your Wisdom Teeth, here's hoping that it miraculously disappears and they stop giving you trouble.
Kass: We don't mind you hanging out here without anything going on. We all do it, because we all help each other throughout the process.
AFM: Hubby took me out on a drive today, it's good and just keeps me going and enjoying the time we have in the big smoke.
Thank you for all the well wishes for my scan tomorrow. I will keep you updated with how it goes.
Well have a great night ladies! Sending positive thoughts out to you!
Just a quick update on how my scan went this morning.
Had scan #2 today. Largest follicle was 22 and FS said they should be able to retrieve around 10-12 eggs. I am happy with that, even if it's less, We will both be grateful with whatever we can get.
Trigger tonight at 10pm and EPU on Wednesday.
I am so excited but reserved at the same time. I think I am just cruising along and taking it as it comes.
I am going to wake up tomorrow morning and feel like I have forgotten something as I won't have to sniff or jab!
Hi ladies, I haven't been in here since BB went heywire so some catching up to do...
Dreamsinto Reality- great result! How exciting to be triggering and good luck for wednesday. It is weird not snffing or jabbing, I constantly feel like i should be doing something!!
Kass- I'm not doing anything at the moment either-just waiting for my next cycle but its good to keep up with what everyone is doing! I just saw you had a BFN for your last cycle (?chemical preg) sorry to hear that, I know what you mean since my last m/c (ages ago) i haven't even had an inkling of a preg so anything is a positive sign I guess. Hope you are back on track soon xx
Fatgirlslim- hope AF has arrived on time so you can get going, and i hope also that the wisdom tooth is better ( or out!)
Trueblue- hi mate, hope everything is settling down on your world. Thats great news about the FET it sounds much better than a stim cycle! Did you get the coeliac results yet?? New FS sounds good too, I am going to go to a new one if I don't have anything success by the end of the year, there is a guy ( doctor) I work with who I really like and think he will suit me better than the one i have now. Bet you can't wait until your next cycle now?!
Loops- have fun at the Melbourne Show, hope the weather is a bit warmer than recently!
Hi to trishy, Terry, intheslowlane, Amy, Danigirl (whats happening with you?)
AFM- hmmm, well after my cycle was cancelled 2 wks ago we were trying naturally, last week I had spotting for 2 days (thought?implantation or earlyAF) nothing since, no pregnancy symptoms, feeling teary and stressed. My AF probably wold be due end of this week as I think I O'd on the Friday. SO, will have to wait and see. Does anyone know: if I did have implantation bleed last Wed, shouldn't I have symptoms by now? My boobs are completely soft nad not even sore.I don't want to get my hopes up ( but I have of course) cos I know I will be disappointed again
Goodluck with your EPU on wednesday and they are great results i hope you do get that many eggies!
Hi Saffy, it may have been implantation bleeding, i so hope it was for you don't be too stressed about no pg signs, back in june i fell pg with our 3rd cycle and i had started bleeding so my nurse did a BT and i was pg!! i had no signs at all not till about 12 dpt i started to get sore nipples and i actually realised i had the clearest face skin i think iv had since before puberty lol but sadly the bleeding continued and i lost our angel at 5 weeks and as soon as the bleeding did get heavier (which would have been the miscariage) the sore boobs went and i got pimples! so sometimes we just dont know we are pg!
AFM, i rang the nurse for mine and DH's BT results today but she said some still arn't in and they need to look over them and i will find out the results of some of them tomorrow. I think they will be ok im more worried about the DNA frag results, DH and i talked more about us using a sperm donor last night just incase the results are bad, he said he will do it if its what i want, but hoping we wont need one
Hi Lovely Ladies
Oneday ~ thanks for your lovely wishes hun and same to you - hugs. Interesting about the Menevit as my FS recommended it. But my DH is also on couple of other fertility tablets from my uncle who is a naturopath. Im also on some as well such as Chase Tree which helps an embryo to stick and other fertility benefits. GL with the results, FX, everything is ok.
True ~ Very interesting to hear the new FS's opinions on Menevit - I only just bought some more for DH too Oh well he may as well give them a shot anyway. Hope everythings moving quickly towards your FET.
DIR ~ thanks hun, im very excited about starting the process and also the Melb Show. 12 follies sound great!! Will be thinking of you with tomorrow.
Intheslowlane ~ Hi and Good luck to you!
fatgirlslim ~ Yes I do remember that - sorry we are both here still. This time will be ours - GL hun! Hope your wisdom teeth come good, FX.
Kass ~ As our FS said to True; sometimes it can be just a numbers game so perhaps it just hasnt been the right time yet. FX the next go is the one hun!!
Saffy ~ Could well of been implantation - FX it was. You wouldnt neccessarily have PG symptoms - I believe many woman dont get any symtoms until a few weeks into the pregnancy. GL hun
Kaybee ~ looking forward to cycling with you again, all the best hun!
AFM ~ Getting very excited now, getting very close. Also my body is mental - i have bit of brown bleeding again (sorry TMI), even though im on the pill etc so could be just an early AF it's very very early for me
Loops -I spotted the whole time I was on the BCP, its pretty common esp if its a low dose- annoying though!!
I should have bought shares in a panty liner company years ago lol
I'm excited for you, how was the Show?
