Thanks Ladies for your replies -
Budget is an issue in the sense we don't want to spend what we don't need to, but luckily we can afford whatever is needed (if this makes sense!) but I think between emotional stress and the opportunity cost of IVF is what will stop us if it doesn't work.

So I guess you are saying if it wasn't a budget issue, you guys would choose a fresh cycle over a frozen even if it meant you have to wait longer for it? I would be really interested to get all your opinions on this one!

Lairdoz - firstly, big big for your chem preg. So glad you seem like you are doing ok. As for my 2 cents, I do think that I would choose a full stim cycle over FET if finances aren't really tight. I haven't done an FET yet but there must still be quite a lot of emotions running with that and if your frosties aren't as good quality, I think I would def bite the bullet and do a fresh cycle. HTH
Emerald - you go girl, that hcg rise is AWESOME!!!!! This is my job IRL (testing stuff like HCG) and that looks fantastic. Sorry about your spotting scare, that is one of the most awful things when the knicker-checking comes up with something horrible. BUT spotting in pg is so very common and normal so FX that all is well. Will be thinking of you on Monday
Loops - hang in there babe - hope you are feeling a little bi better and DH gave you heaps of great big hugs. You are so right, its NOT fair and I think every single girl in here will agree with you on that. We're here for you, cry and rant as much as you need sweets
Have forgotten everything I wanted to write, been doing THE dumbest things the last few days. Hmmmm anyone would think I was distracted for some reason

Loops - I'm so sorry the same thing just happened to us and it is the worst feeling! We had borrowed money off my parents for it too. To go through all that for one shot is so unfair....BUT you are NOT allowed to give up yet!! You still have a little emby on board and everything you have left you have to give to him/her right now ok. There will be time to decide everything and get mad and upset later if you have to. xxx

Emerald - I'm glad that everything is ok. All the best for monday

Lairdoz - Boy that's a loaded question at the moment "what does your partner think"? How much time have you got?? We are not going so great at the moment so I'm kinda just making these decisions for myself...I am not going to decide about a new FS just yet, will see how this FET goes and then.....we'll see.
As for your question.....I would do the full stim. Those frosty's aren't going anywhere, you can always go back to them later. Frozen cycles definitely aren't as stressful and there are still plenty of success stories from FET's but what I did was ask myself "If these FET's don't work, would I go again anyway"? If the answer is yes then you may as well do it now while your in the swing of things. But only you know what you can cope with honey. All the best....

littlegem - That's so great! All the best for Monday. Will be sending all the positive thoughts I can muster your way.xxx

Renee - Hope everything goes well today!! Been thinking of you!!

    Thyroid Auto Antibodies

    Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know anything about Thyroid Auto Antibodies ????
My FS did their usual blood works in January and this time there might be a problem with Thyroid. I have been searching the internet for 3 days now and can't find anything about what is a normal result.

The nurse told me I have to speak to FS regarding it but I would love a heads up on the situation before I go back to see her on Tuesday.

    Thyroid Auto Antibodies is 60.
The nurse said my FS doesn't treat it if its 60 and under.
But will treat it if its over 60 so I am boardline.
What is the normal range ??????

NK Cell Blood Test result came back 6.9% which is fine. The Ladies at the Lab said anything over 12% is not good and you need to be on Steroids.
Decided to take a break for a month or two - the stress from IVF stuff is doing my head in.

    Have a great day everyone

    Good Morning everyone,

Danyelle - I'm sorry but I don't really know anything about the Thyroid Antibodies. I had a look on the net also, but it seems very complex and I would not even dare to hazard a guess to what it means. I hope that you get your answers next week, although it is great to hear that your other results are fine.

Renee - What a great result. I hope you are resting up and feeling good. Sending positive vibes to your little embie.

    Littlegem - GL for Monday.

Lairdoz - I'm sorry you have had such a tough week. In regard to your fresh/FET question - I think I remember reading somewhere (during the squillions of hours I have spent googling various TTC stuff) that there are Medicare rules in regard to having a fresh cycle if you still have a certain number of frosties (not sure how many). But don't quote me on that. As for the fresh cycle I suppose it would depend on the quality of your embies. I would probably go fresh if I had little confidence in their quality. However you hear stories of poor looking embies thriving and going on to be FET success stories. It is such a lotto!
My FS will be looking at an antagonist cycle next time which is much shorter than a down reg. Approx 30 days from jabbing to BT result and from what I understand can be used if you a good responder to meds.

Mum2B - Hope your scan goes well tomorrow and that your eggies are coming along nicely.

MelissaL - You are doing so well to have not POAS. I am a bit of a POAS fan. (I seem to always POAS on the very morning of AF even if it's been late/early - ironic really.)
GL for Tues only 2 more sleeps to go.

bj*81 - Hopefully you will not even need to consider a new FS after this cycle! I have just changed FS's and am feeling optimistic. It was not a problem ordering copies of my last clinic's records of previous cycles and only took a 2 days to get them. Sometimes a fresh outlook may make the difference.

Miss K - How are you surviving the 2WW? Hope you have plenty of distractions and that the time flies for you.

Loops & Emerald - Hope you are travelling well.

Sorry to anyone I have missed, I am still trying to get my bearings.

AFM - Came across an article in the Sunday paper in regard to a new test that will be available as soon as next month called AMH Testing. It has been dubbed as 'the Egg timer' and it is a blood test that will "accurately" tell women how many eggs they have left.

It measures the concentration of a specific hormone found in a woman's ovaries called anti-mullerian hormone (AMH) the test will cost approx $65. A low level indicates a depletion in egg supply and a possible poor response to IVF drugs and high levels can indicative of potential OHSS from stims.

So I guess it could be helpful for an FS to help determine dosage more accurately on a first cycle, which would be great in helping reduce the number of cycles or potential heartache in cancelled cycles.

Hello to all you wondeful people

Thank you all so much for your kind words of support and encouragement, would be completely insane without you all.

Em-Star ~ So pleased your beta etc are looking great! Hopefully a little left over implant spotting.

Lairdoz ~ I would try FET again I think, because it does happen with FETs doesnt it and a lot less stress and money. But then again if you have the money and are prepared for the hardwork then go for it and then you may have more eggs plus a little one that sticks, GL with the decision.

Melissa ~ thank you so much to you both and for the hugs! How are you going in TWW madness? I hope well!

Loula ~ thanks again for telling me about your friends - very encouraging

Miss K ~ thanks so much. How are you going in TWW?

Renee ~ Excellent! All the best with the transfer.

Littlegem ~ very happy for you, all the best for the transfer, FX

Tantee ~ thanks for that info and your encouragement.

BJ ~ thank you for your wonderful support and comfort xo

Hi to anyone ive missed and BIG

OK well AFM ~ exciting news, just when I thought it was all over and decided yesterday (6dpt) to do a POAS anyway to see one way or the other, to my shock there was a faint 2nd line. My FIRST EVER 2nd line!! Did another one today and a slightly darker line. Something must be happening right?? NO AF but I do still have headaches - so perhaps they are stress headaches afterall or perhaps my body hasnt registered the pg yet or something.

Loops- will be thinking of you and hoping for lots of nice dark lines on your HPT's - looks great! I am sure it feels unreal (literally!) but it IS real. Can't wait to see it progress further for you.

Thanks to you lovely ladies who answered my question, I REALLYT appreciate it as I don't know who to ask and it seems like lottery! In WA if you have two or less embies then you can choose to do another stim cycle (this is what my clinic told me but Tantree it makes more sense that Medicare (Federal) would choose this over any state by state decision.

Hi everyone, nothing new for me, just wanted to say congrats to Loops on her very positive looking news and hope you are all doing well!

Thanks to you amazing ladies, you are all so wonderful

Unfortunately though I was thinking it might be too good to be true, I think AF is pretty much here, *TMI WARNING - well mainly dark brown coming out with the Crinone and a tiny bit of red, I had a massive headache all day yesterday and did a POAS at 2.30am as I couldnt sleep and it was lighter than the last one.
Can someone tell me, if this would be a chem preg if AF comes properly or does it mean I have been pg at all?
I wont be so distraught if its a chem preg as I'll know something has happened at least.

I might do what you suggest Loula and try and get the bloodtest done early, thanks xo

    hey everyone,

    Littlegem - GL for today!!

Renee - That's great that your mum came over to help you!! Hopefully you are milking the sympathy and care from DH too!! My - when in your BT?

Danyelle - I'm a first timer, so I don't know anything about the Thyroid Antibodies... otherwise, good luck next weed with your FS

Lairdoz - GL with your decision - my thoughts are taht if the chances were higher with a fresh cycle (and money was no issue), I'd go for the fresh cycle.

MelissaL - Can't wait till the results tomorrow!! EVERYTHING is crossed for you!!

Tantee - I read that article too!! Sounds like it can really help both us and the FS!!

bj*81 - I agree with Tantee - Hopefully you will not even need to consider a new FS after this cycle!

Miss K - Hope the TWW is treating you kindly!! Can't wait to hear - not too long now!!

Loops - I still have everything crossed that it turns out ok!!

Emerald - I'm hoping to hear SOON the new blood test results!! once again, congratulations!!

Hi to anyone I missed!! Hope your all going well!!

AFM - had my US today - the womb is looking good and I have 6 eggies on one side and 5 on the other - so little (no) chance of OHSS - which my FS was really concerned about given my age (27). He thinks that EPU will be next monday and ET next Wednesday. I have to go back on Wednesday just to confirm that the eggies won't be ready for a Friday EPU ... Monday kinda suits a bit better as we are going to a Tom Jones concert at Sirromet winery on Sunday!!

Probably a silly question, but why do some FS do 3 days ET and others do 5 day ET??
