Hi Paula,
I don't know if its common for the first cycle to not work. I just thought that because i had been on stims for a few months already and because we were upping the anty(so to speak)that we would get results. But unfortunately not the case. My sister is due in 8 weeks and today i was her helper running all over the country side picking up laybys and buying clothes and hospital stuff. I adore her and I cant wait to be an aunty. But i find myself quite often in a pessimistic state of mind. Like today I picked up this cute little baby girl romper and adored it;but said "We'll at this rate I'm never going to need that". She said "Of course you will-stop being so hard on yourself" Sometimes though it just seems so hopeless. I go with her and i try and support her when she says which cot would you pick and why and i honestly think "Whats the point asking me really"?I'm not in an analytical state of mind. I do wish you every single success with your first go at it, maybe you can prove us wrong. I hope so and you can show us how to get it done first time. hehehe. I start stims again on Wednesday.

The Clinic rang this afternoon bloods are in....BFN
Belinda, as you said you gotta get back on that horse....at that's what we are doing.
FS has given the ok for back to back treatment so 1st injection will be on Wednesday.
Paula, congrats on your first injection
I think keeping a positive attitude about this type of journey is the way to go.
No matter how long or how you get there, keeping a positive attitude gives you the strength and focus on the end result.
Polly, when do you start your injections? Are they changing your dosage?
I don't think we were ni'ave thinking this was going to be easy, just hopeful that it would work first go. that we get our BFP this cycle.
P.S Thanks to all my fellow musketeers for your Birthday wishes....I'm officially a 30 year old.....holy crap how did that happen??

FS just rang...what a lovely man, he gave his apologies for things not working out.
He has decided to lower my dosage to 50 due to high hormone levels before and after O.
He basically said with the progesterone reading I would have ovulated more than one egg (he said 3...eggs).

Hi Girls,
Hope you are well.
Nicole, good to see you are 'backing up' on the cycles. I totally agree that it could be a good sign both you and Polly are starting on the same day.
Paula, welcome to the muskateers!!! Not much to the injections is there!?! I think you need to go into any AC with the belief that it will work for you, and I have read about plenty of women who have fallen on their first IUI cycle. It will sometimes be a stretch to remain positive, especially when you are in the TWW and you start getting weird sensations and you are sure AF is on her way. I have to say I had the worst weekend, very hormonal and teary, but I went to visit my bestfriend today and when I held her newborn I knew that everything I was going through and feeling would be worth it in the end when I was holding onto my own.
Last pregnyl injection this morning...thank god....so now the countdown to next monday is on. I have a very religious MIL and she is sure this is 'my time' due to the fact that I will have the pg test on easter monday. I hope she and the big man upstairs know something I don't!!!

Hey Paula, congrats on 2nd injection!!
Belinda, just noticed that you have your PG bloods next Monday. Is this at Wetmead or Casle Hill? I'll be at Westmead on Monday morning as well and thought we might pass eachother in the waiting room.

hi Ladies

just been foloowing you progress and thought that i might tell you my story. Might just help you keep focused even if you have a really long cycle like i did . My prayers are with you all during you time with IUI

IUI round 1 BFN 1 follie16 ml letrozole with trigger shot using DH frozen sperm due to work commitments, Af didnt arrive for 25 days after IUI. all HPT were BFN. We think that AF was so late due to my high prolactin levels.

IUI round 2 BFP then early loss 2 follicles 16ml letrozole and trigger shot using Dh frozen sperm due to work commitments. We were thinking no more at this stage too hard too emotional and also had already cost us several thousand dolloars at this stage as we live 175kms from the FS.

i begged DH to do one more round then er would have 12 months off and this is how it went.
IUI round 3
day 3-8 letrozole 100mg
day 10 scan 1 follicle5ml
day 10-15 letrozole 100mg
day 15 scan 11follicle biggest is 11ml and 9ml all rest unfer 5ml
day 17 scan follies have shrunk start injections
day17-21 injections puregon 75ml
day 21 scan follies 2 were 15.9 and 15ml
day 22-23 injections puregon 75ml
day 23 trigger shot of pregnol 5000 at 9.30pm
day 25 IUI at 9.30am (today is classed as 1DPO)
day 36 or 12dpo BFp faint
day 36 or 13dpo bloods done result HCH of 30
day 37 14 DPo bloods are result HCG of 155
day 25 Dpo bloods done again due to bleeding result of HCH3257 all looks good

Hi Tiffany, great news on your BFP!!
Really gives hope that even though it might not work first time for everyone, it still can happen.
Thank you for sharing your story

Oooooh Nicole,
We are back on the baby machine. Maybe we can be lucky like Tiffany and nail it second time around. God i hope so. I got my days mixed up this cycle and i was meant to start my injections yesterday. wooops. I started today and my FS wasnt worried about the extra day one little bit. So that was a relief. Don't like the paying IVF bills too much. oUCH!! So first injection is all done. yipee. i'm feeling super positive- i have no reason to be? My ivf nurse is a legend. She is so thorough and caring and wonderful with all my dumb questions. Shes good with a probe and needle too. Haha I hope everyone is going well and fingers crossed for Belinda who's train will soon be running l8. Come on girl give us a BFP for the muskateer team.

Hi Girls,

Tiffany, thanks for your story - gee you did have a long cycle didn't you! And here I am whingeing about the fact that it's been 11dpo and I've had enough of playing the waiting game!
Polly and Nicole - good luck for this cycle this will be the one for both of you! I'm so glad that both of you are staying very positive!
Paula - where are you??? Hope everything is going well.
Me...going out of my mind. Had a little tanty at DH as soon as he walked in the door today. He had a very drunken weekend on a bucks party and was smoking again so I let him have it. Considering his count was lower than usual on the day of IUI I feel like he isn't taking this as serious as he could. So if things don't work out this month (but they will!!!) he is on a complete alcohol ban. I'm not giving myself injections and staying off the booze if he can't!!! And thats my rant for the day!!! Nicole, no symptoms at all. Was talking with a friend who has a 2yo and she said she didn't get any symptoms that were obvious until about 2 weeks after Af was due. So maybe I will be one of those people (gotta tell myself something!!) I really want to POAS and almost got one today but it will come out positive regardless due to the pregnyl. I have heard of people buying HPT and doing them every day to see if the line gets lighter or stays the same but quite frankly couldn't justify spending the money when I only have 5 long, long sleeps to go.
