Yas - Gook luck on your 2nd round of clomid hope it works. Not sure about symptons sorry i dont seem to get many. Your emotional breakdowns are very likely a combination of both you poor luv i've never had a m/c. I can only imagine how devastating it would have been for you. Sending you lots of baby dust.

mum2onesweetbun - I was lucky i dont get much symptoms beside sore breasts and emotional but then did not take clomid this month and still emotional so not sure probably just me. Wishing you no side effects.

Bec - Really sorry about your BFN its so disapointing. Hope AF arrives next week so you can get started again. Good Luck

AFM: Just wainting for AF to arrive which should be next week so i can get started again decided to try to lose the weight while still doing clomid it seems like wasted time to stop clomid while i try to lose some weight.

BABY DUST TO EVERYONE WE REALLY NEED SOME BFP BEFORE CHRISTMAS GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi All,

Sorry about the BFN negative Bec

Yas - I haven't had any issues with thrush since being on Clomid, but I have heard that the change in hormone levels can upset the balance and cause thrush. I would ask your FS if there is anything you can take/do?

Mum2One - I too hope we all get a nice Christmas surprise and are UTD. I was thinking yesterday what was on my "wish list" this year, and more than ever my only answer is a baby (or two)!

Tasha - Hope you aren't freaking out too much. I don't have follicle scans or blood tests and while I am not pregnant yet, the results to date have been good and I have been ovulating and have a regular cycle of 27 days (which I NEVER had before, it could be 12 months between AF visits). I think it just depends on how your FS/OBGYN works. Some doctors are just more hands on than others.

AFM - I had my appointment today with the OB/GYN. He's happy with my now regular 27 day cycle and didn't seem to worried about my 10-12 day luteal phase either. Having a Hycosy after my next period and then if there are no blockages, going through another 3 cycles and seeing if the Hycosy can clear some cobwebs and help get me UTD. Also, he agreed with my GP that my first period was probably so painful because of multiple ovulation that first month, so he doesn't want to increase my Clomid dose incase I get pregnant with quintuplets or something crazy like that! Not really the direction I thought the appointment would go in, but I am happy with the outcome all the same!

    Hi all,

Sorry I have been MIA - been flat out and then we had internet connection issues so I haven't been able to get on to post. Won't go back through the threads, but just want to say I am thinking of you all & hope you enjoy the upcoming weekend. x

    HI Yas,
I've had huge problems with Thrush the whole time I was on clomid (someone else did too, I can't remember who?) and you can't take the tablets if you are pregnant, but you can use the pessaries and the cream. My chemist recommended a probiotic, which has helped a lot. If you have PCOS thrush can be a constant problem becasue of the hormones. HTH!

I agree rai and wbm, Bring on the BFP's!!!!!!!

Welcome back Jules, hope you're well!

Jules- *hugs* hope you're ok. Sometimes I reckon a big cry can cure a whole lot. Not always, but at least it makes you feel a bit better for awhile. It's good you have someone who understands.

Morning ladies, hope everyone is fine. My hayfever sucks and my eyes are burning so wont be on bb too much today.

With preseed, is it a lubricant? Id always thought it was a vitamin you take lol.

Thx ladies and have a great day

It's a lubricant, comes with applicators to put it "up" so to speak.

    Hi all,

Pre-seed is a sperm-friendly lubricant (most lubricants are not sperm friendly so dont use any while TTC unless it specifically says "fertility friendly" or "sperm safe").

One question I have that I was hoping you could all answer...

Have you put on weight since being on clomid????

The reason I ask is that I have Dammit.... lol

    n2l

PS I am out for this month. AF turned up yesterday. Oh well...on to cycle 5

    Hi Everbody

Rai- FX for losing weight and BFP- I have the opposite problem, i cant gain weight, which is bad because my BMI is below normal.I have been trying to gain weight for 2 years and nothing has worked, i only ever get past 45kg when im pg. I fluxuate between 43-45kg (im short though, 155cm). GP was worried about it but OB says it's ok. Good luck and babydust to you!

WBM- lol, quintuplets sounds good Good luck hun!

becnxavi- It does help! Sucks that your in the same boat though, lets hope it improves!

N2L- Sorry about AF showing up It makes you miserable doesn't it?

AFM- I don't have much to report- im on cycle day 5 and take my last dose of clomid tomorrow, and i hate AF. Had a meltdown on the first day of AF, but since i have been trying to not think about TTC and my m/c and how many wks i would have been etc. I was just sick of myself! So, lets hope i can keep up this positive relaxed attitude and not drive myself to a mental institution.
Good luck everyone and bring on the last BFP's of 2010!

    Hi Ladies,

I think it would have been August since the last BFP, it certainly has been a long time!! Too long! We need a BFP to lift our spirits!

Preseed is great in making things more comfortable! My OB/GYN doesn't seem to think that it will help in getting pregnant, but he also said it won't harm my chances either, so if it makes me more comfortable then to use it.

N2L - I have put on weight, but I don't think it is the Clomid as such, but rather an indirect result of my mood swings. I am such an emotional eater, so I have been stuffing my face with all the wrong things (more than usual) since starting on the Clomid rollercoaster.

Mollie - Don't be nervous. The SE's aren't that bad and in the scheme of things it is definitely worth it. With any luck you will only go through one cycle and then be UTD. I'll have my FX'd for you.

Yas - I think that quintuplets would sound good to all of us in theory, but I think the reality of 5 screaming babies would quickly change our minds! Twins would be fabulous, but anything more would be a little full on!!

Has anyone else here had an Hycosy? I am a little curious about what to expect from the whole procedure. Also should I take the whole day off work?

Well off to a 5yo Birthday party! Hoping there are some little people wanting to be fawned all over!! Need to release some of this maternal energy! Ha ha.

WBM - Thank you.. I have everything (but my legs) crossed that I will only have to do one round and we will be blessed with our #1!!!

As for the Hycosy...I had a HSG done which is kind of similar but supposed to be more painful as you have the x-ray dye injected instead of the saline. I took the whole day off work and had it done on a friday and after the procedure I thought I was going to die! (I thought I had a high pain threshold..obviously not) Its hard to explain the pain, for me it felt like period pain to start but then it felt like something was cutting my from my insides out.. and then the next day I felt like I was the size of a beach ball!! But when I saw the dye go through my tubes all the pain seemed to go away ...
I hope i havent scared you that is not my intention, but I went it with a vague idea of the pain, and was told that it wasnt that bad... but i was mistaken!!

Hi girls just sticking my head in as like Mollie I am planning on starting clomid in Jan.

I have a question I hope someone can help with. I have seemly regular AF and I have all the signs of ovulation, my FS does not want to test tubes etc as I have a m/c 5 months ago but has suggested clomid as a step before IVF etc...has anyone here been prescribed clomid with regular AF,(last progrestrone test at cd 21 was 23.8 nmol/l) is this too low to show ov? Dr google has me confused!
