Crafty - it was First Response early result tests the pee on ones not the dip ones (not sure there's much difference). I so hope its a good result for you in the morning too.

to everyone else, thanks so much for the warm welcome. You are a lovely group. The year long break was hard, but I was so ill at first I knew it was for the best. I hated it at the start and was depressed, but looking back I can see that the break did me good, and not just physically- I had just had so much loss and issues and the break made me regain a life outside TTC and gave me time to heal emotionally and regroup somewhat (as best you can when you still long for a baby).
I will need clexane injections when I am pregnant again, and will be considered high risk with constant monitoring. First hurdle is to get there...my remaining tube is evidently in bad shape, which is why we were sent to IVF in the first place, but it has worked once before, so you never know!
Crafty-Come on girl we are waiting hurry up and feed those kiddies and get on line.
Possums-I know what you mean about being high risk and need constant monitoring as soon as we get our BFP i need to ring westmead hospital head genetisist and let them know so they can organise the genetic testing then i need to ring royal north shore fetal medicine unit to organise with the professor to have an early dating scan as it is very important that i get my dates exactly on the dot then they book me in for a cvs at 11-12 weeks and i have to wait a week for the results to see if bub is affected with SLO if it comes back negative i still have to be monitored as the cvs is not 100% it is pretty close but sometimes the test for faulty genes fails to detect it unlikely but possible so after an early morphology scan at 16 weeks we should be all clear and hopefully i wont have to have an amnio that hurt's.
So i know the feeling of a pregnancy being more of a medical condition rather than an enjoyable condition.
I hope the 12 month break has done you good and you get your healthy bub soon.
Alice- thats interesting about the hydrosalpinx, I haven't heard of that before. You and your Dh sound like you are very disciplined with diets etc so hopefully that and the antibiotics will do the trick! xx

afm- visited a friend w a new baby yesterday which was fine but as I was leaving she started asking me about ivf and offering 'advice' ( this is a friend who gets UTD veeeery easily) so by the time I ran out the door and got to my car I was crying and bawled my eyes out all the way to the blood test I was going to,grrrr so annoyed with myself and don't even know why I got upset.

crafty, I would go and buy the first respons early detector....as I was using the cheap internet ones and thay gave me a false negative and like sunbeam the first response early detector gave me a positive result mid afternoon....good luck tomorrow will be thinking of you
My SIL wants to call me tonight...oh ****, I know what they are ringing for. How can anyone get pg on IVF on their first (aged 44) AND second (aged 45) go? I don't think that even counts as IVF frankly.
I don't want to talk to them. I don't want to know
I really, honestly, can't deal with it. I just can't. Can someone please give me some strategies to deal with the call so I can be a loving sister and not the ogre I feel like right now

Alice I am so sorry your having a hard time dealing with you SIL and I guess you may be right about the news the best advice I can offer is to write down on a piece of paper exactly how you feel all the swear words the works and read it out loud a few times and get it out you system, then when the phone rings you can say the nice things you know you should say !!! I know its really hard as I myself had to listen to my son tell me his new wife was UTD after trying for 2 months and I had mc 6 mnths earlier. But I was glad for them and had to tell myself they will be happy for me when I eventually get pg again in the future!! So Alice be strong take a deep breath and be calm and look on the bright side she is older than you and you have just as much chance of getting it right 1st time when you go for your IVF next month !!! after all your hard work and your chinese meds your turn will come !
Thanks Iona I am not even going to bother testing if they want to test tomorow then they can but I am only 9-10 DPO so not really in with a chance anyway even though my boobs feel sore today and I keep feeling nauseas think its just nerves I have been reading up all afternoon on fertility of women age 45 and its not good think I am wasting my money tomorow stupid old fool that I am !
Alice - I really have no advise on how to take that phone call. I bet your heart is beating at a million times a minute. What an extremely difficult thing to do. All the best.

You'll never guess what I just got ........... I just got a + OPK! It's CD26 for god sake! So that means I'm going to O on CD28. God what a loooooooong cycle this is. I'm going to O when most get their AF!!! I was only peeing on a stick because I have about 30 of the buggers. I hopped in the shower with DH and when we got out I got the shock of my life. And no ladies there was no hanky panky in the shower lol. We'll do that tonight

Thanks all for the warm welcome to this thread! Yeh was getting very disheartened being in there for so long and so many popping in briefly, getting a bfp and leaving... was hard! Feels much more comfy in here cause you all understand thats its not just the loss thats hard, but the wait to get a bfp again is just as torturous!
