Desperately - hun - i can't say i've been on the injection/crinone combo, but i can definitely sympathise with the tingly nipples on "high beam" full time - OMG - it's gotten to the point where any incidental touches hurt like all hell!

as for the well meaning family and friends - ignore them hun - anyone who has been through this journey can pick the "bad" comments a mile off, but others think they're being helpful by making stupid uneducated comments. you are NOT responsible for your BFN's at all

    when do you test hun?

Sorry Desperately can't help with your ???? just wanted to agree with BG. People are well meaning and think that it is valuable advice they give, but if stress were a factor we would all be in serious trouble. How abnormal would you be if you did'nt stress. I am a major stress head as my nurse called me and plan on getting a BFP, I wish I could relax for more than a few seconds at a timeGood luck and don't worryJust joking!!!

I am on Crinone until 8th August and if AF doesn't show I go in for BETA - Crinone didn't stop AF from rearing her ugly head on my last cycle so if I make it to the 8th I will be very happy

I'm glad that I'm not the only stress head here God knows I have blamed myself often enough when I have recieved those BFN's - (could I have done something differently, maybe if I had relaxed and not stressed about it, it would have been a BFP etc)....... I have started telling anyone that makes those stupid comments that if they have the'secret to relaxation" to share it with me! - that shuts them up!!

PS...my boobs are not as sore (wonder if this is a bad sign!)

    Hi Desperately

I am on the combination crinone gel and pregnyl injections at the moment - had 1st pregnyl on Tue night, 2nd one is tomorrow night. I have had sore breasts and general tenderness as well as other odd feelings - cramps and twinges and even a feeling that felt like something burrowing into my bellybutton from the inside (hope that makes sense!). I have put it all down to the side affects of the progesterone. The nurse told me after transfer to expect all sorts of abdominal pains and twinges from it. The biggest problem for me has been the effect on my bowels - TMI warning! - I have really bad wind that comes and goes and makes me all bloated and I go from constipated to something approaching very loose motions. I hope that this won't last too long! And no matter how much I drink I am always thirsty and I am SO TIRED... I can't believe how tired I am getting so early on in the afternoon. I think the thing to remember is that everyone's body will respond differently to each combination of drugs and even cycle to cycle you might be different. I actually think that some of the signs are good because at least I know that the drugs are doing their job!

Take care and good luck for the 8th!

Chez - i'm a day or two ahead of you, using pregnyl booster shots for my IUI - i had my second booster shot yesterday

i've also had the bloating and changing bowel motions that are driving me nuts, and i'm pretty sure they are in some way related to the meds. i have super sensitive/sore bb's too - but they're slowly getting more tolerable!

    Hi BG

It is great that I have someone to share my TWW with! I take my last pregnyl shot tonight - I am not looking forward to that one - will try the ice cube trick this time. I haven't needed with all of my others including triggers but this one just seems to be particularly nasty. And I will have a piece of emergency chocolate on standby for the after effects

I find my sore bbs come and go although I have been making sure I wear a nice comfie bra all week to try to make it easier for myself. But the bloating is getting a bit annoying. I am finding that having a peppermint and nettle tea is helping a bit so I think that is where I need to head right now!

Take care and chat again soon. Maybe Ali will drop in a bit later and let us know how her transfer went

BG - just updated myself on your journal. I have had pains in my right side as well. Last night we went out to dinner and I started to get stabbing pains over my right ovaries. I really hope that does not mean an ectopic and is only a side effect of the progesterone. My bbs don't seem to be nearly as sensitive as yours - you poor thing - men just don't seem to understand do they? Have you been feeling very tired as well?

hun, i am sooooooooooooooo tired! i slept til 10 this morning, and even then had little enthusiasm to get out of bed. stayed there til nearly 12 just chatting to DH and trying to wake up

am supposed to be going out to a party tonight, but i just can't be bothered - am going to drop DH off, and then go and get him when he's ready to come home - but in between i'll be reading the new harry potter that i borrowed from a friend today - works for me!

You lucky girl getting to sleep in so long - my trouble is that I really tired mid-afternoon and end up going to bed at 8:30 at night!
What a great idea - I have the new harry potter as well but haven't had a chance to start it. You have given me an idea - shower, dinner and then into bed with hp book. What a glamorous way to spend a sat night!

    HI everyone,

Well I'm now officially in the TWW...bit scary. Having my blood test on the 17th August. I have a feeling these will be the two longest weeks of my life!

Glad to be going through it with so many others though. I think that'll make it a little easier.

    Hi everyone!!!
BG and Chez, regarding the tired thing back home from Melb early because I was so tired and could'nt be bothered. The bloating, bowel thing, I thought it was just me. I had pain so bad the other night I was thinking this might be a hospital trip, but 20 mins later gone. What the .........??????My is 2nd booster is Tuesday. I have to say I don't feel really hopeful, it just does'nt seem that anything is happening. But ....how I know that is anyones guess maybe just the hormones, feel a bit down in general. Ali my BT is the 15th. Someones going to get a BFP for sure, it would be great if we could all have one.

    hi Pam

i've had episodes of pain like that hun - it's enough to drive me insane - just comes for a while, get to the point where i'm thinking i need to see someone and then it's gone. not loving it

like you, i don't feel overly hopeful this cycle and i'm not sure why. there's been nothing happen to make me think things haven't worked, but because my symptoms are easing off following the booster shots...

i'm still exhausted, and am loving the jim jam day today - hubby is darting off to the shops now to grab some more stuff for dinner, but told me to rest up and enjoy my reading - he's such a gem!

BG - I forgot you had a 3ww...that must be torture & I though 2 would be bad!

This is going to sound silly but since this is the first time I have officially been in the TWW I wanted to know a few things...

Has anyone changed your diets at all over this time...e.g. I usually have a coffee & tea at work & I wanted to know if this is something that is safer to cut out all together? Are there foods that ppl are avoiding during this time?

I know that they stay to try & avoid strenuous exercise (which is okay cause I avoid that now anyway) but is there anything else I should be careful of??

Your thoughts on this would really help!

I guess I just want to give myself the best chance of a BFP. Every little bit helps.

i really changed things too much ali - admittedly i've not had as much caffeine, but more because i'm not wanting it than as a conscious effort to change things. i guess the things you'd normally avoid during pregnancy are the things to avoid - check out the first trimester threads - theres a few in there asking about food to avoid - thankfully i must have a pretty bland diet cos i've read a lot of the threads thinking to myself "don't eat it anyway"! i've made a conscious effort to drink more water thank normal - i usually have 2-3L of water per day - at the moment, i'm aiming for 3-4 simply cos i've just come off a stim cycle and last time i ended up with mild OHSS and was advised to drink more...

as for the 3ww - yeah, theoretically it's torture, but when i've thought about it, i'd hate to be excited having a BT on day 14 only to end up with AF on day 15, so not having BT til 16th gives a bit of time for me to know one way or the other whether it has worked.... plus, they still make HPT's for poor saps like me !
