Hi Kristen160 - how are you? I've been completely AWOL lately, it's been a couple of weeks since my last visit! My 4th clomid cycle went belly up due to a cyst that appeared, and i was going to have the cyst 'burst', but in the end, changed my mind (the procedure did not sound like fun ..... involving a local anaesthetic near my cervix) and i've actually decided to see a naturopath, who will help my hormones to rebalance, after having all that clomid. Feeling good and positive about this change of mind, am also having acupuncture, which can help the cyst to drain away without the need of surgery. SO, i'm pretty much not TTC for the next 2 months, while my body rebalances!
Crossing my fingers for you that you have success this cycle! Take care ....i probably won't be around too much, now that i'm taking time out

Hi Ladies, hope it's ok if i join you in here.

Quick bit of info about myself. DH and i have been ttc for 18months. We have had 2 early losses in the last 6 months - all since starting fetility treatment. We have tried cycle tracking, had a Lap and i am now on my 4th cycle of clomid - currently in the tww but holding no expectations for this cycle. Dont ask why, i just dont feel optomistic atm.

Just got back from appoint with my FS as we were going to move onto IUI next cycle but after a lengthy discussion we have decided at this point to continue on our current path and wait it out since i have successfuly fallen pregnant on clomid and the odds are 86% my way on carrying the next pregnancy to full term.

I have been geting the usual side effects - headaches, major hot flushes, oh and did i mention that i feel like a fat, bloated cow? lol! I am moody and my poor DH doesnt know what to do - i think he just mainly tries to keep out of my way.

I hope to get to know you all a bit better

Welcome to our little (or as i'm finding, not so little) club MrsB26,

Hey, I understand, Us TTC llong termers tend to know our bodies pretty well. I'll still cross my fingers for u though

    Hi all,

Tryinglikecrazy - Just thought I would let you know that after my first round of clomid I was shocked at how heavy it was. I had never had it that heavy before and it freaked me out a little. My second cycle was also heavy but my third a little lighter. So all in all I would say it is normal and just means theres lot of nutrients there for you know what when the time comes. Hope that helped

MrsB26 - Welcome and best of luck!!!

Theresep - Hi sorry to hear about the cyst but glad your in a good frame of mind. Well I'm on day CD14 today and waiting for O (Clomid doubled to 100mg to see what happens). Also have a minor case of thrush which I'm not to happy about . So this will be my last cycle on clomid before having a few months break and seeing if I start to O naturally. Feeling a little emotionally drained at the moment and the excitment of TTC has definately decreased over the months.

So my problem at the moment is that my DH is on a bucks night this weekend (same day/day before I usually O) so I'm really not happy about that due to the amount of alcohol they will consume. Is it reasonable for my to insist/demand that he not drink??? Is that possible on a bucks night......I'm guessing probably not. Any hints??? Theres never been an issue about going out and drinking etc...not that my DH is a big drinker but when the boys get together they have a fair few, but since ttc its just becoming a sore point.

    ANyway best of luck
    Kristen
