Hi all, I am still ok, still no HG, just m/s. What a miracle!

Casey, I think you are on the more severe side of HG. I had mild HG with DS1, but I would say moderate with DS2. If you are still sick a week after birth then Id say that is severe. Part of the problem with HG is being believed and taken seriously by Drs. I hope you can find a Dr who supports you 100% and knows you arent exaggerating, but that you really are sick and need help. I think it is great that you want to be proactive about your next pg. I did the same, with this pg I asked my GP for a maxalon prescription at 4 wks, because my HG always started at 5wks. He laughed at me and said 'come back when you are sick and we will discuss it'. I said, 'if I wait until Im sick, then I'll be TOO SICK to come and get it, especially with 2 kids!'. Luckily I havent needed it this time though. Ive also read that it does help if you are medicated straight away to help delay the vomiting cycle. I was medicated from 6wks last pg, but it was already too late.

Lily Dust - I have always said that giving birth is the easy part, its the months of torture with HG that are worse!

I really hope all of you ladies can have a HG free pg. I cannot tell you what it feels like to actually feel relatively normal during pg. Problem is that I still dont believe I am actually pg, and I have asked for another u/s next week to make sure everything is ok.

Well. No miracle! Baby is gone....

I should have known better. No HG means no baby for me...its happened twice. The only pgs that have gone to full term are my two boys and I had full on HG with both of them. Worst of all, now I know I will have to endure months of HG again after thinking I escaped it this time.

P.s Sorry for the angry post. Its just not fair!

Oh wow I only just stumbled upon this thread after 6 weeks straight of nothing but puking!! Currently Im 12 + 3 weeks. Haven't worked since the week of xmas and have been in hospital twice now for IV dehydration. Starting to feel a wee bit better since being on the Zofran 4 times a day but now gotta deal with the side affects of that which is extremely painful constipation (and to think 2 weeks ago I had the squirts LOL) anyways Im glad to read all the different posts and know Im not alone!!

Welcome AAC. In the nicest way possible, I wish you weren't in this thread (Hope that comes out right, I mean I wish you weren't suffering HG!)
Congratulations on your pregnancy! I didn't have Zofran when I was pregnant but am interested to know more to see if it is a good option for next time. I might ask you some questions at some stage.
I hope your HG eases soon...x

Hello, it's been a while since I've been here. I can thankfully say that the last two weeks have been much better for me. I'm now only throwing up a few times a week instead of a few times a day and I can handle the nausea now as it's not as severe. Yay! It certainaly makes a huge difference and DH has been much more helpful too :-) Thankyou DG and Lilydust for your kind words.

Sagres congratulations!! Hope you do have a comfortable not-feeling-horrible ride!

Congratulations Sagres!!! I bet you are thrilled to be past 12 weeks. Im so glad you didnt get HG this time, just bad m/s. So happy for you!!!

Melsa - Thankyou, Im glad your not feeling as sick now. I hope it continues to taper off for you.

Lily -My Avi is finally ready! The gorgeous Mylitta designed it for me. Do you like it? I love it!

Trishy - Sorry I didnt check this thread earlier. Im so sorry youve been so sick. It really isnt fair that you have had to endure this well into the second trimester. I am hoping and praying that your bad days are all replaced with good days. Thinking of you.

Thanks for the congratulations girls, you are so sweet.
I am glad to hear it is getting better for you Melsa and Trishy. I have also got to not throwing up at all many days and only once on the days I do, so that is a lot better.

DG, it is gorgeous! Love it!

Melsa & Tishy its great to hear things are easing for you both. Fingers crossed you can both enjoy a few months of pregnancy

brogeybear, Im sorry you have had to join this thread but welcome Its hard when people dont understand and dont want to listen either. So did you stop throwing up all together at 16 weeks last time or did it just back off a little?

Started to think I may have been ready to TTC a couple of weeks ago then got a stomach bug and threw up, first time since I was 36ish weeks pregnant and it brought back so much I was so upset and scared to go to the bathroom because I didnt want to be sick. So I dont know if we will ever TTC again, I am just too scared

Thanks everyone. Yes it is great to have other women who actually understand what it is like. I was one of the lucky ones. I only vomited a few times sporadically after the 16 week mark. I actually enjoyed pregnancy after that point. I am hoping that it will be the same this time around. I want at least 3 children, hopefully 5. Luckilly I am young enough to space them out a bit, lol. But if I get hit for a full pregnancy with the HG I think that has the potential to really make me think twice. At least next time I will know to firstly look at some natural therapies *before* getting UTD, and then get on to a treatment plan really early on instead of waiting until I end up in hospital. *doh*
