Thanks for posting that Schaz, that makes sense. It's hard to really look at your life and whether it's going well or not. Honestly i'm really lucky about a lot of things, I have my health as do my kids and I live in a country like Australia! It could be a lot worse. My bad luck oculd be someone else good fortune so who knows really...

I'm just going to keep hoping and wishing

The other thing I thought of when reading your post was that although you are asking the question, it may not necessarily be for your highest good at this stage ie its not the right time, or its not the right answer, and things are working in the background to create something better.

An example: two years ago we were living in a rental property with cheap rent, had almost paid off a personal loan, and things were looking up. I thought 'yes, things are working the way I want them to.'

Then circumstances changed completely. However after much angst we are now renting a better house (with air conditioning thank goodness), we spent our money on IVF, and although we didn't get the results we wanted we now have an answer to work with.

On bad days I am the same as you - and have a bit of a sooky la la as Lulu so aptly put it.

But on good days I think "I have put the thought out there, now I have to wait and see how it manifests, rather than forcing it to my own will."

Here is a song that helps me in times like this (especially when questioning the Universe):

Whenever life get you down, Mrs. Brown,
And things seem hard or tough.
And people are stupid, obnoxious or daft,
And you feel that you've had quite enu-hu-hu-huuuuff!
    Just - re-member that you're standing on a planet that's revolving:
Revolving at 900 miles an hour,
It's orbiting at 19 miles a second, so it's reckoned,
the sun that is the source of all our power.
The Sun and you and me, and all the stars that we can see,
are moving at a million miles a day,
In the outer spiral arm, at 40,000 miles an hour,
of the Galaxy we call the Milky Way.
Our Galaxy itself contains 100 billion stars,
    it's 100,000 light-years side-to-side,
It bulges in the middle, 16,000 light-years thick,
but out by us it's just 3000 light-years wide.
    We're 30,000 light-years from galactic central point,
we go round every 200 million years,
And our galaxy is only one of millions of billions
in this amazing and expanding universe.
The universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding,
in all of the directions it can whizz,
As fast as it can go, at the speed of light you know,
twelve million miles a minute, and that's the fastest speed there is.
So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure,
how amazingly unlikely is your birth,
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space,
because there's bugger all down here on Earth

(Some of the figures have been simplified... for example, we go round the galaxy approximately every 180 million years, not 200 million years, but it's not a bad approximation.)

Hey, you were given a chance - you were born whole and healthy.

You still have the defeatist attitude - "i just want a chance", you can't wait for an opportunity to fall in your lap - go and MAKE IT HAPPEN.

I just don't believe that putting positive thoughts out there is enough, you need positive MOTION on your behalf to start attracting it to you.

I know and i'm trying, I really am. It just seems like there are so many hurdles and no one wants to help. Nothing, I mean NOTHING is falling into place.

I know i'm being a defeatest sooky lala whinging pom with a poor me attitude and I hate it. I'm ususally so positive but everything seems to unatainable - esp what it is that I asked for

Look wallowing is ok - just give yourself a time limit.

I strongly and clearly asked for 20K to start a new business once and it didn't come. When I look back I can see it was because I had other things to do (like sort out my family) before that could happen properly. If I DID get the money back then, it actually would have added to all my stress. I can only see that now. But that's me and my sitch.

If no one wants to help, you just have to find a way on your own where you do not have to rely on others to get you where you want. Yes, it may be harder but if you get an end result where you are able to have your dream without worrying if the support network will collapse.

From one single hot mumma to another it is always better to not have to rely on others too much. You don't have to be LONE WOLF, but from experience if you need others good will to continue, it will run out sooner or later.

There are absolutely ways around all the problems. Put your music on or go sweat or something until you get back into your COMBAT QUEEN mode. A shift in perception is all that may be needed here. Go have a read about really successful business people. Most don't have a complete secondary education and it didn't stop them from becoming millionaires (or losing it all and getting it back AGAIN). They don't tend to see setbacks as setbacks - just a different opportunity, and they are always looking out for one. Keep looking!

Firstly CQ big hugs darling woman... Life is really really tough sometimes - and what we are all feeling is relative.

I have some thoughts/beliefs that I will share - sift thru it and take what feels right and think about what doesn't! I agree 200% with Lulu - putting thoughts "out there" is necessary - but we have other parts that need to be worked on. We need (I believe) to work on our mind, our bodies, our emotions & our spirit. To only read self help books and do nothing else means we forget 75% of us! To only meditate and read religious/spiritual teachings means we forget 75%. To hone our bodies and not take care of the other parts of ourselves etc etc...

    Are you familiar with Rumi?

"I saw grief drinking a cup of sorrow and called out, 'It tastes sweet does it not?' 'You've caught me,' grief answered, 'and you've ruined my business! How can I sell sorrow when you know it's a blessing?'

What that says to me is that we look at something as awful, terrible "bad" but we choose how to perceive that. Yes, there are awful things in life that are very difficult to bear - but we can still ultimately choose weather we grow from them, learn from them - thus they are not truly "sorrows" but amazing teachings. Sometimes it feels like life just throws one curveball after another - we as humans can truly reach a place where we thank those curveballs - for they can (if we choose) help us to further our spiritual journey. For that's what we are - spiritual beings having a human experience! That's a really tough gig to choose but we chose it. Now we have a responsibility to live the best way we can. Not to run from the difficulties - for it is in them that we truly test our mettle.

I do not believe that there is a "bad" or "good" situation. They are all how we perceive them. We need to really KNOW that just as one foot goes after another so life chages. What is happiness today can toorrow be sorrow. So, living in this moment is really important.

Journalling is a great tool in times like these. Thinking of you...
