PZ, I've never encountered spenceee before this so can only go off what I saw from this thread. And from what I saw, she/he seemed to say clearly that they weren't meaning to cause offence, so I could only take that on face value. Their posts, despite the subject matter or even the manner in which some of the statements were delivered, seem respectful enough to me, even if the sentiment behind it may offend.

If anyone here has history with him/her and suspect that this is about attacking women and not about a real discussion about the issues raised, then you should hit that report button. I have no knowledge of his previous posts so have none of that context.
