Jodie, I think DH is more worried about having 3 hormonal women in the house than he is about boys LOL.
Hehehe, good point, but the girls are far outnumbered here...
I should be more worried about the boys I guess!!
I do make sure us girls dont take any crap from them, and they KNOW how to treat us properly... I only hope it carries out into the real world!!
Honestly though - it scares the life outta me too. I can only hope as a mother I have taught her well enough to respect herself, as her friend that she can trust to confide in me. We do have an open relationship and she knows she can talk to me about anything at all. I just hope to LORD this stays with her throughout her teenage years. Boy are they gonna be tough! I wasnt really into boys, but alcohol, drugs (the occasional toke) and smokes were my thing. I was too much of a tomboy to even be interested.
DD (8yo) doesnt even like the way girls her age dress - such as short skirts and short shorts. She looks at them in disgust and says 'Mum, why does that girls mother let her wear that in public?'Im proud of that. Not that she's judging the girl - but not liking what she is wearing and asking for me to buy that! DD wont even wear a full bikini in public without boardies
and I like that - you never know who is looking at your children!
