Braxton Hicks at 8 weeks? Surely not!

I swear I'm having Braxton Hicks! Mild tightenings in waves and I also get a little bit out of breath. I had them every night from 30 weeks last PG and they were quite strong so I'm freaking out a bit.

Tell me I'm mad and it can't happen please

I was wondering if it was being in tune or I was over analyzing IYKWIM...

I'll be there with bells on BTW

They probably are BHs Sammi. You do get them all through pg, it's just whether or not you feel them. I'd say that you just know what's going on since it's your fourth, and you're incredibly in tune with your body!

Oh, and I feel sorry for you hun, you're not meant to have to suffer them ALL the way through!

I've been getting them for a few weeks now.
My question is - how many is too many? Or doesn't it matter? Should they only be happening once or twice a day or less often? 5 times today and counting. They aren't painful, just uncomfortable. I can't remember them being this early with DS but maybe I am just more in tune with my body.
It's not worth ringing the hospital and asking them if its ok to have this many this early, is it?

Im not really worried, just curious.

Unless they are increasingly painful or getting some sort of pattern to them I wouldn't stress at all about them. Some days you will have a whole heap and then others seemingly none at all.

Your uterus is always contracting it's just that we don't always feel it

Yeah, I figured as much. And, I had felt baby moving a heck of a lot today, and apparently, a wriggly little baby can irritate the uterus. So I figure thats what happened today. Now, lets hope I can get a good nights rest.
