Sorry for the quick one, but my new taskmistress is demanding attention (ie a feed and hasn't slept since the last feed)... And apologies for the copy and paste job...
We went to our weekly OB appt on Tuesday morning and within 5 mins of seeing her, the OB was on the phone to the hospital trying to find us a spot on the list for a c/s that afternoon. Bub had turned back to breech and there was nothing down low except fluid, so the OB was concerned that if my waters ruptured, not only would all the fluid gush out at once, but a cord prolapse was highly likely. Given the risks, we were sent home to get our bags and head to the hospital ASAP.
So, Amber Emily Rose was born at 4.07pm on Tuesday, weighing 7lb 5oz (3.32 kg). It was my absolute last preference for her birth and I'm finding the recovery tough, but she's making up for it by feeding well and occasionally even sleeping (just not at the moment)! Both DH & I are completely smitten!
