Hi Cruzey, welcome to BB and congrats on your pregnancy!

I was similar to you, I got over everyone really quickly. It wasn't that I wasn't excited about being pregnant - I was ecstatic! - I was just completely over everyone thinking that was the only interesting thing about me. People tried to touch my belly which I hated, so I set them straight about that pretty quick. As PP says, it's your body, no one has the right to touch you without your permission. I also had people calling me Mum - I told them unless I actually am your mother, you can please use my name.

As for your partner, I think it's cute that he's so excited and protective But they can go a bit overboard on the protective said! Tell him that right now, your baby is in the safest place possible, very little is going to happen to him/her in there! Exercise is so bebeficial during pregnancy, and your voluunteer firefighter work would be ideal for that. As long as you're not putting yourself in danger and you're not getting stressed, you'll be fine. Tell everyone else it's really none of their business.

You have loads of time to buy baby stuff. DH and I started at 12 weeks to spread out the cost, but by the third trimester I had nothing left to get, and I was bored! There's no rush

Hope you're feeling better soon, take some time for yourself if you need it
