What food do you miss most?

4 years ago I don't remember it being so bad!!!

Dont eat this or don't eat that! I limited my ham and softserve but the rest I still had...... Now it's don't eat anything YOU cooked that's been refrigerated more than 24 hours, no Icecream no deli meats no sushi (not even vegetarian) no pineapple (huh) no salad sandwiches, no mayo.

Ahhhh that's what I really wanted today a yummy salad sandwich. Being at work I couldn't. Can't buy one from a cafe and had I made one at home it would be soggy and missing ham and mayo.

Maybe I'm just being super careful this time coz it took so long ttc.

What do you miss??? I feel confined to vegemite toast and cheese saladas lol!!

Just a heads up that Praise light mayo doesn't contain egg, I loved it during my pregnancy. I was also super careful during preg. If there was a risk I avoided it! I missed camembert, Subway, sundaes, sushi rolls and it was a pain in the butt having to cook my own rice every time we ordered thai. Apparently it's the rice in the sushi rolls that's the danger. I also missed my tea and coffee!

I haven't been as careful as all that, but have been seriously craving a proper eggs florentine with runny poached eggs, smoked salmon, hollandaise and spinach for yonks.

And y'know, in a few weeks time I am SO having it!

I thought normal hard icecream was fine.

And I've never heard of there being anything wrong with pineapple ... the only pineapple thing I can think of is the old wives' tale that pineapple can start labour, if you're overdue ...?

I miss sushi and sashimi a lot, and smelly cheeses, and poached eggs (mmmmmmmmmmmmm, runny yolks ...........)

I thought I would miss alcohol, but I haven't really.

I also have sort of missed coffee, but have not been able to go near the stuff most days - so I miss it, but also don't want it, if that makes any sense at all...

But it will all be so completely worth it in a few months when our bubbas arrive

Wow I'm obviously clueless, I didn't know a few of these, eeek.

I'm missing salami and ham the most, followed closely by sushi.

Haha I can't have half that stuff normally anyway cause of my PKU. Up until about 3 weeks ago I could barely eat anything. I was on 7g protein a day. But now bub is breaking down the protein for me and suddenly I can eat more than I ever have in my life on 25g protein a day. I don't mind having to eat hard boiled eggs cause normally I can't eat them at all!

There is so much conflicting information out there...... I have also been told no icecream from a shop....ie cone icecreams. Something to do with contamination and it being open?? I dunno I dont eat it much at all so its safe to say i dont miss it. But I do love a maccas sundae.... caramel and chocolate topping mmmmmmmmmm

Whats so sad about me missing food though - IM ONLY 6 WEEKS IN!!

You can have ham, as long as its freshy cut or cooked. You can have a salad sandwich, as long as you make it yourself. But even then, getting a take away one is fine as long as its freshy made. Mayo is fine as long as its in a squeezy bottle as the jars can cause contamination. There are so many egg free ones nowadays.

Its true about the left overs. That used to drive me mad. Also true about the sushi.. unless you make it yourself and substitute the raw fish etc.

For me though, it was the soft serve. I wanted a thickshake so bad all pregnancy. DF actually brought me a chocolate sundae into the hospital the day after DD was born! lol it was devine and well worth the wait!

Soft serve is one of my biggest weaknesses
closely followed by sushi....and I could go a whole wheel of brie....

Mumma Mia one of my first meals after DS was brie and bickies, sushi and a sundae lol.

Me too CM. We were just talking about this in our BB group.

I miss runny poached eggs and sushi. Big time on the sushi, because it's so fresh and delicious that I rooly want it. Am still eating leftovers though, if I made them the meal before. I blitz the crap outta them, no bacteria would stand a chance! I thought I'd miss tea as I usually drink cups and cups, but conveniently I can't stand the taste at the moment.

My first meal after baby: salmon and avocado sushi rolls, Maccas caramel sundae and Oyster Bay sauv blanc.

I just went and bought all the stuff to make sushi. I'm vegetarian so it's nice and easy. It wasn't as hard to make as I thought it would be, and gee it tasted good

I was making muffins yesterday and realised that I couldn't lick the bowl, oh no!!!
