Hooray! Im first for the first time hehe

Just realised I missed a few posts that were "beyond current depth" and just worked out what everyone was talking about...
We have talked about donating embryos also but not up to that stage yet. I think you are a very thoughtful, caring person Ltl Panda and only good karma will come your way!!!
Mako, just read about your bubs proportions.. dont worry about the big head, I'm sure he will be in proportion eventually, just taking his time.
Clairbear, thinking of you and ready to support when you come on with whatever news you have.
Kimbe, yeah I heard that the itchy means the stretchy but I'm moisturising like crazy too. I think genes have a lot to do with it also.
Hi Sonya, Kotare, Lis, Jo, Marcellus, Clare, and Sushee again! also anyone my jelly brain has forgotten, sorry!
Bubs kicking so violently lately that last night the cushion resting on my lap moved!!! Very impressive for someone not even due to be born for another 15weeks I reckon.
    Hope you are all well.

Good morning girls......im having a bad nausea day, which means im only going so long without having to lie down, excellent excuse for a day at home watching old movies I think, though I do have 2 essays to finish by next week so may have to do something productive instead.....damn real life getting in the way of me enjoying myself .......and no doubt my ears will be burning from work, but they'll understand in 5 weeks!!!

Im glad im not the only one with boob issues ha its kind of nice to focus on the lighter things for a change. And thankyou all for your support over the family issues bb is fantastic for making me feel like im not alone.

And its funny this knowing the gender issue......DH wants to know and im not too sure but were rubbish at keeping secrets so who knows what we will decide, but at least we still have a little time to decide

Sonya - im with you constantly hungry and i also find eating makes the nausea subside so just go for it........but it will be ace when it goes.
LtL Panda - what a wonderful couple you are to even consider donation
Claire - good luck with these results I hope you get the answers you want
Sazz - I suffer the same jelly brain, my mum calls it the pg fog....god help us and maybe you have a budding nrl/afl player on your hands..its in grand final weekend after all ha.

Anyway I had better attck these essays....hello to everyone hope you are all happy and healthy

    xx

    Girls,

It is with much sadness that I am going to have to leave this forum.I had my 7 week scan yesterday and no heartbeat was found...I am totally devastated.
We have no embryos left,so at the moment it looks like I won't be here again.
I would like to thank you all so very much for making me so welcome and for all the support.
I wish every last one of you a happy stress free and healthy pregnancy.

    Love and hugs,
    Claire

Claire, I'm so sad to hear of your loss and hope you and DH and DD all look after each other and take it easy on yourselves for a while.
    Big hugs from me.:hugs:

Marcellus, nah it didnt hurt. The only time it is a bit uncomfortable is when the jumping up and down on my cervix is happening! I think I am having an acrobat lol. GP says I am having a giant as my last fundal measurement was 30cm and normal for the date should be 26cm...
Lis, hope the nausea passes some time soon you poor chick.
    Catch everyone soon!

Clairbear - my thoughts go out to you, DH and your little girl. Stay strong as a family throughout your grief, that's really important.

Sazz LOL, love the cushion story, it's like that malteasers add, i find it hilarious...still no movement for me, am waiting patiently for my quiet bub to wake up and surprise me.

Nice to be onto a new thread...i am so hopeless when these things start, i usually struggle to get onto them for a few days (am feeling IT savvy now!!)

1 more day till school hols. We had Yr 12 muck-up today so that relieved a lot of my load for the day as kids were tied up with the celebrations. My boss even took me for a milkshake (yes, thats the new coffee!) for some debrief and time out of the school and tomorrow is a team lunch, so, its only a few hours and then freedom for 2 weeks. am looking forward to the slight break.

    Hey guys

So sorry to hear of your loss Clairbear...take care!

Just to let you know that we have had a fairly eventful week...poor Felix ended up in ED last week and then was hospitalised on Monday...he had a UTI infections that needed IV drip...he was such a little trooper though!

Amazingly, the only way we found out he had a UTI was that I was advised to take him to ED due to the fall down the stairs due to the risk of delayed concussion...they did a urine sample there as a standard procedure and discovered the UTI....

Thankfully all is good now...fingers crossed!

Hope you are all doing well!

Monnie Poor little Felix. I bet that was an awful time for you guys. I hope he's well on the mend now. How is your ankle?

Will be back over the weekend sometime to catch up on personals. I'm devastated for Claire atm to even think. Sorry.

So many replies in a few days, it's fantastic but hard to keep up!
Sonya - a HUGE Congratulations on your pg, I also had constant eating up until about 14 wks & I would have to eat something every half an hour & in the end I was so sick of eating but that did go & of course now I can hardly eat anything & I'm full.

Mako - it's a shame you didn't get much out of your classes, we start ours next week & was hoping they would be of some help.
So glad your scan went well but your little boy is really making you wait to see him isn't he?
Head down which is all good, mind you my bub's been head down since 27wks & she's still in here so hopefully your little fellow will stay put too.

Marcellus - hope your feeling better.

Ltl Panda - what a wonderful thing to do to donate your embryos, a very selfless act it gives me goosebumps.

Claire - I am so devasted for you on your loss, please take care & our thoughts are with you.

So it was finally my last day at work today & I think more than anything I am just relieved & just can't wait to be able to rest when I need to.
Mind you I have so many things I need to do before bubs comes but my main thing is to pack my hospital bag just in case.

I cannot believe how much my little girl kicks & squirms I hope this isn't a sign of things to come because she never seems to sleep!
If I get up at night (which usually happens at least twice) once I get back into bed well she thinks it's party time, the girls at work have even commented on how much she kicks because they can see it through my work tops.
Hopefully she'll be so exhausted when she comes out that she will sleep really well.
I am starting to wonder if she really is a girl???
Mind you she's probably just really unhappy because there isn't much room in there anymore.

Claire - I am so sad for you, and your family. I realy don't know what to say, but you are in a lot of peoples thoughts. Take care of yourself. :hugs:

Monnie - very pleased to hear Felix is better. Poor little guy. Thanks for still dropping in.

Jo - yay on finishing work. A girlfriend of mine had a little wriggly worm (girl) and when she was born she was one of those 'perfect' babies who slept lots and was really calm. I'm wishing one of them for you.

Kimbe - thankfully i haven't gone off coffee like a lot of pg ladies ...but i love a milkshake too.

No news from me. Dh has arranged a 'dinner party' with some of his colleagues on saturday in our new house. Not very impressed as there is still much to be done - there's not one picture on the walls! And i generally start falling asleep around 9.30 so they better not want to stay for hours. God, listen to me...grumpy old wife.

    Hi Ladies

Clairebear, my thoughts are with you hun, wishing you all the best.

Kotare, grumpy preggie lady is the key word, that gives us a licence to express our feelings in any way we like.

DJTTC - your little one is a little dance, my nephew was very active, but now all he does is sleep.

Monnie, hope Felix is all better.....

Sonya Thats great news on your levels rising like that hun. Remember that its not uncommon not to feel pregnant in the early stages. I remember that my m/s started before I even tested but the other symptoms didn't really kick in untill around the 6 week mark and for some ladies they don't get any symptoms at all so try not to worry too much about that cause you know that your bloods are doing what they should be

Kotare How did the dinner party go? I'm sure you will get your new house sorted out soon and you'll have so many pics to put up (especially when bub arrives )
I think our dh's don't realise that we get very tired while we are pregnant and expect us to be "normal" and be happy to go along with plans like that. But sometimes all we feel like doing is sitting on the lounge doing nothing at all. So take it easy and try not to over do things where the house is concerned.

Jo Well done on finishing work.I bet you are relieved to know that you don't have to worry about whats going on there now. I'm so envious of you finishing before me lol. I think I'll finish on either the 30th of October as this is the end of our pay week or on the 3rd of November being the end of the teaching week if that makes sense. My Dh want me to finish on the 3rd as it will mean a little bit more pay for the next week and I'll only have 12 days before bub is due.Although I am concerned if bub decides to come early too.Work still hasn't found a replacement either so I don't want to leave them with no one kwim?
I haven't packed my bags yet either. I think I'll do that after my Ob appointment on Wednesday as I'm due to stop taking my medication then aswell so I don't want to be caught off guard. I'm also thinking of installing the carseat in the next week or so too. Have you decided when you'll be doing that?

Not much is going on here atm. I did go shopping this morning and picked up a few little outfits for bub(not that we need any more clothes lol but they are so very cute). Dh has gone away for the weekend but he'll be home tomorrow. I hope he's enjoying himself cause this is his last weekend away before bub arrives lol.
I'm not worrying about the size of bubs head either now. I know that I can't change anything so I'll just go with the flow and what will be will be.
I've been thinking about writing my birth plan too. It all seems a bit daunting but I know that I need to do one.

A big hello to Sazz, Lis,Ltl Panda and anyone I missed. I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.

Hi everyone, hope you are all enjoying long weekend! Unfortunately I have to work at 5.30 tomorrow morning but only for 5 hours so will still have most of tomorrow off.
Poor little Felix, Monnie. I bet you were wringing your hands for a little while. Glad to hear he is all better now.
Good to hear about your levels Sonya yay!! I often felt as though it wasnt real at first as I didnt have much MS or anything but the realisation gradually hits!
I know what you mean Kotare about not feeling like doing stuff like that. My SIL , BIL and 2 kids invited themselves over Friday night for tea. I got home from work and they were already here! We went to the pub for tea and they only stayed till about 10pm but on a friday night I am always really tired cause I work till midnight on thursday night also so just not in the mood for anything on fri night!!
Horay for finishing work Jo!!! I bet you are glad to not have all those pressures on you all the time. I think people forget that pg people have a lot on their mind and our bodies are doing all that extra work all the time too so they dont even think when they ask you to do all those extra things that wouldnt normally be too much of a problem. Enjoy your time as a lody of leasure!!
Mako, wow up to the birth plan and packing! It is feeling close now. I wonder about packing cause I will want to be wearing all the undies and bras right up to the day, that we are supposed to be packing weeks ahead of time. How do you go about that??? When we got our car seat we put it in the car right away to make sure it was ok, and I kinda wanted to leave it in there! I know what you mean about wanting to buy clothes. Everyone keeps telling me not to buy any cause they are going to lend their newborn stuff but I still want to get somethings to say I have bought myself. BIL told me off and said "Dont buy ANYTHING" and made us take home 4 big boxes of stuff, half of which we didnt even want. I think they just wanted to get rid of it all and it was easier to make us take it!!
Enjoy the holidays Kimbe! Time to get some jobs done but make sure you relax a lot too!
Not much from me.... keep going into babys room and looking at all the stuff. The hammock I wanted has arrived and I have just ordered a heap of cloth nappies off the net. Looking forward to them getting here. DH laughed at me spending so much time on the net researching and comparing nappies! He has vowed that I will have to wash them as he wants nothing to do with that end. He is happy to change them but if I want cloth, I have to launder them. Fair enough I s'pose.
Enjoy your sleep in tomorrow everyone!
