Good Afternoon Ladies,
Wow so many people posting in here at the moment! Firstly, I thought I would throw my 2 cents in on the book debate. I like Conception, Pregnancy and Birth by Dr Miriam Stoppard. As you move towards the birth, I would recommend New Active Birth (which is a British book written in the 70’s but still relevant) and I have just started reading Juju Sundin’s, Birth Skills with Sarah Murdoch. I haven’t read much of Birth Skills yet but it came recommended independently from 2 separate friends. I have also been recommended Save our Sleep and Baby Love for afters bubs is born.
The weeks seem to be ticking by quickly. Work, plus yoga and prenatal classes keeping the days busy. We are 3 weeks into the 5 week birth classes plus I attended a breast feeding class last Friday. The breast feeding class was an eye opener… I think I was so focused on growing a baby and the birth that I hadn’t thought too much about what do with Snuggles when he/she arrives!!
Leabie – Welcome and congratulations on your BFP. I have been doing prenatal yoga too and absolutely love it. Would highly recommend it to anyone as a way to de-stress and build up your core strength! I hope the head cold improves quickly.
Brunette – I hope you don’t mind me asking why the strict orders to drink a glass of wine with dinner. I really miss wine and constantly tease myself with a sip or too of DH’s! I think I was 11w5d when I had my NT scan… no reason just the day that suited.
CK77 - hope you had a fabulous time in Cairns.
Renee – glad to hear the first scan went well and you like your new doctor. Hope you had a lovely birthday.
LondonMiss – Good job on the list. Can you update my DD to 3-7-10. My DH is originally from Melbourne and we visit quiet a lot. I f you want to meet up I can let you know when we are down next (which will not be till after bubs is born). I haven’t started drinking raspberry leaf but was planning too. I got told not to drink it till the last 4 weeks. Haven’t heard anything about nettle tea.
Wantbaby#2 – 12 weeks will go quickly. Enjoy decorating the nursery!
S'rose – Welcome and congratulations on your pregnancy. NY sounds awesome, how many weeks will you be when you go? A baby moon is a great way to break up the pregnancy. I went to Japan from 24-26 weeks. I found the stairs in the train stations a little tough at times, plus not being able to drink when constantly out to dinner. Had a great time though and glad we went when we did. I would have gotten to tired if we left it much later.
KitKat – Welcome and congratulations on your BFP!
Lise - hope your pg massage was fantastic….. interested to hear your thoughts. I have booked one in town for this Saturday with my Mother’s Day voucher.
Paula – I have had a bit of on and off back pain. I have found wearing a belly belt helped. Hope your feeling better soon and all the best for your scan on Saturday… should be amazing.
Sorry for the epic post and a big hello and sorry to anyone I have missed… still trying to catch up on everything since being MIA....
