this is getting beyond believable! im only 4 1/2 weeks along and just cant stop eating! has anyone else had this so early? its been going on for about a week. i have had breakfast, two morning teas a big lunch a snack and now just ate an entire box of arnotts shapes...
it wont hurt me coz i am underweight, but i didnt expect it so early....
Yeah Sonya, I felt exactly the same for the first 12 weeks!!! Unfortunately I'm on the overweight side of things already... I read something yesterday about that, apparently it is more common in underweight mothers and is to do with the baby needing all the fatty acid stuff for brain and nervous system development so dont feel bad at all. Also I found it helped to avoid nausea if I didnt go without for too long. Enjoy having that room in there for it to go as soon enough you wont be able to fit that much in there lol!
Good luck tomorrow Claire!!!
You girls and your boobs lol, Isnt it funny how those with big boobs (like me) just keep on growing and those who are looking forward to getting bigger during pg just dont seem to! My friend said to me a couple of days ago " I hate to tell you Sazz, but your boobs are still getting even bigger!!! They are huge!" Great, thanks. I have noticed customers at work talking to my chest recently. Maybe they cant locate my face anymore? Getting an itchy belly which means stretch marks might be on their way? Already got some on my enormous Norgs. Ahh isnt pg glamorous?

Oh Sazz, i hope the itching isn't stretch marks, i've been itching for weeks and creaming each night - i'm v.small and bubba is very tightly tucked away, but i really don't want the stretchies...unless they are a result of bust growth!!! LOL, I'm one of what sounds like a few of us, sitting and hoping for that slight increase. I think all our DH's are delusional on that front.
Mako - sorry about the big head, sounds daunting...but at least he's still little in overall size. Probably better than a 10pd'er coming through! It's interesting your experience with the antenatal classes. This is my 1st pg and i am considering not going to them, just returning to the hospital for a few delivery suite tours. I'm a big reader and work with kids and Dh already has 3 from previous marriage, so it's not like we need training in doing up nappies or shock treatment on what 'might' happen during labour.
Liz - i know we're not family, but we're hear for you, to listen, talk, whatever you need. Its an emotional rollarcoaster being pg, let alone adding long distance and possible family grief.
Marcellous - glad your feeling better chickie!
Sonya1 - didn't have the hunger bug, but dont deny yourself i say, while you can eat, eat, it's much better than the m/s that stops you from eating properly.
DJ - work sounds tough, my thoughts are with you. You stick up for yourself and don't let it get to you, your bubba and health is more important than that!
Clairbear fingers crossed for you, i really hope results come back with a positive.
Ltl Panda, great to hear from you - you and DH are such a wonderfully generous couple. We have just the 1 frozen emby and we're holding onto it just in case. I admire your courage and obviously the love you have for each of your frozen emby's too, giving them to opportunity to grow and flourish. Reading your message has really hit me. Wow.
There's nothing new for me, just working and hanging for school holidays (3 days to go yippy) when i'll hopefully find out the gender of our bean (10/10 woohoo).
To everyone else, big hello... Keep on enjoying the pg and stay healthy girls!
Sazz Make sure you use lots of moisturiser on your tummy hun. I do this morning and night when I get out of the shower. Try not to scaratch either as I've heard this can make the stretchies come out.
Sonya Enjoy all that food while you can sweety. I found I was very hungry early on too and then it eased of a bit during the 2nd tri and I'm starving again in the 3rd although I can't eat a main meal as I feel full not long after I start so I find that I tend to graze alot now. Don't worry about how much or how little weight you put on either cause as long as you and bub are healthy thats all that matters in the end. I have to say that I've put on just 6kg in 33 weeks so I'm pretty happy with that.
Ltl Panda What a lovely thing you and your dh are doing with your embies hun. I'm sure you will make some other couple very grateful and happy. Well done. Wow your almost 20 weeks already. All the best for your scan next Thursday. Are you going to find out if your bub is a B or a G?
DJ I hope your last week at work is not too stressful sweety. Not too long to go now. Have you got your nursery sorted out yet?
Marcellus Enjoy your new jeans hun. I have been living in mine lol. I've now moved on to my 3/4 jeans as the weather is warming up although the button stays undone most of the time lol. Lucky my tops are long enough to cover that bit.
Kimbe All the best for your scan too. Its such an exciting time seeing our little ones and how much they've grown.
I was like you about the antenatal classes too. I've worked with babies and kids of all ages for years and had a very good idea of what to expect but dh on the other hand had no experience whatsoever so we mainly went for him but he didn't enjoy them either. Oh well atleast we went and weren't left wondering if we did the right thing or not kwim?
Claire I'm thinking of you today hun. Take care.
Not much going on here. I'm washing more of Bubs clothes and sheets and wraps etc today. I figure I should do this while the weather is good.
Still a bit unsure of when to finish up at work. I'm finding that I'm getting rather tired very easily these days so we'll see how I go over the next few weeks. Not sure if I'll be working during the school hols yet as it depends on how many kids book in for intensive lessons and if we need to have 2 teachers or just 1. Should know more tomorrow I guess.
Anyway take care everyone.
You craked me up Sazz about the enormous bb's. We seem to be split in two camps...those waiting for just a little, and those wishing for a little less. We are never happy are we
Sonya - i had huge huge hungrys from the minute the embies stuck. I thought it was my mind playing tricks - but boy, i was eating all day long (and a nightime snack too!) But that passed at 7/8 weeks. (Not sure if it had anything to do with losing one). Go with it girl - i've gained a whole 3 kgs (not much i know) but now i'm back at 60kgs which puts me into a 'normal' weight again since i started AC.
Kimbe - are you telling people the gender? I would like to know what you decide. We definitely want to know ourselves, but i'm not sure about telling everyone? Have a great time at the scan!
Kotare Dh and I haven't told anyone what we are having except the belly belly girls. No one even knows that we know as we just wanted a little secret for just us iykwim. I have to say that I have to be careful when I'm out shopping for bub that no one is around that I know. That can be hard at times and I almost got caught out a few months back but I just used the excuse that I was buying a gift for my friend who's also having a little boy
Its so funny because all of dh's relo's keep telling us that I'm having a girl. I just have to say "Do you think so?" or "we'll have to wait and see in a few weeks time" or something along those lines.
Your secret's safe here
Thanks for telling me that - that's kinda the feeling i have towards the whole gender thing. I want it to stay our own little private thing. Although if my big sis is still living with us she may have to be in on it - or else the stock piles of blue or pink things will be a bit of a give away!
ok ladies, it's time for a new thread. I stopped modding in here because of my commitments at home but I couldn't stay away so I'm back. I'm ecstatic to see how busy it is in here.
