Anyone been told one gender at 20 week US only to have the opposite?

hmmm tricky. it kinda does look like a penis but it doesnt iykwim! i dont see 3 lines for girly bits but dont see scrotum either

Thanks ladies! Glad I'm not the only one struggling to see clear boy bits! We didn't find out with DS, so I have nothing to compare to other than the ones I've found on google which show a very clear scrotum and penis. But then I also think that I can kinda see three little lines - if you look at what might be the base of the penis, there is one clear line, another to the top of it and then a smaller shorter one just about it... But like the penis these are clear cut either.

I think I'll ask my OB for another peak at our next appt. I'm still wishing we didn't decide to find out though, I think even if we get a clear cut answer down the track I'm going to have doubts!

19 years ago (wow) we had a scan and they showed us DD's ovaries, u can stll see them now on the VHS tape .

They don't seem to use that method any more

It's not the best pic in the world to make a determination from, but I noticed you went to Women's Ultrasound Malvern. That's where we go too, and the advantage there is that they're not sonographers, rather they're radiologists/obstetricians (depending on their specialities), so they're doctors specialising in scanning rather than technicians. I'd be tempted to go with what they've said, but that said, if your Ob has scanning equipment too, no harm in asking for a second look! If there's no definitive answer, go get a 3D scan if you really want to know Good luck!!
