.. the thought of attempting to paint your toenails is just laughable.

Thanks girls!!! Just the laugh I needed today and I can (unfortunately or fortunately) relate to them all

toenails? we have toenails?!
Forget painting them - I'm having to get DH to cut them for me now!
Another here who needed a laugh and can relate all too well.
For me - it's seeing my students jump out of their seats to pick up my pen when I drop it, and passing empty drink cans to colleagues to crush for me cos getting them to the floor and picked up again is just too hard.
It feels like it won't be long before I'll need DH to dry my feet after my shower, too.

When you can't get out of the bath without feeling like your ankles are going to snap...... I needed my DF's assistance to get out. Let's just say that experience stopped me from going anywhere near the bath during labour.
Oh I remember all of these so well. I got to 38 weeks with two 6lp babies so you could say I was rather large by the end. The things I can remember is
-not being able to shave your legs, don't even mention the bikini line I didn't know mine existed by the end
-getting someone to help you get your shoes on and off
-people looking at you like you are some kind of freak lol
-having a table for your drink or a plate of food
I had to laugh at the comment about not fitting in the car. We had to rearrange some stuff in our garage that was next to the car because I could no longer fit through and once the babies seats got put in our family car (our drivers seat had to come forward a little) I could only drive the other car because I couldn't fit behind the wheel anymore LOL
I had a midwife appointment yesterday, and when she went to measure me from the pelvic bone to the top of the fundus, she asked "What's this? Movember?" because I obviously had a little line of hair that hadn't quite made it into my undies.
"I can't see down there!" was all I could say in reply!
what a great thread!!!
When -
* you wear slip on shoes cos you really couldnt be stuffed trying to wear anything else!! too hard.....
* you can't see your private parts and can't really remember what it looks like!! haha
* you don't shave your legs anymore because you simply just cannot!
* you drop food on your belly all the time
* your husband can rest his beer on your belly and use it as a table while watching TV!! haha!!
* everyone rubs your belly like you are some sort of little Buddha!!! good luck charm!?!?!
* ppl say "have you lost weight" because all your weight is in your belly and nowhere else!!! making your face look slimmer at least hehe
* you struggle to bend down to put your undies on!! anyone else have trouble or just me?? geez its hard putting pants on!
* your dog cuddles up next to you and instead of their head on your leg they use your belly as a pillow LOL
* you drop something on the floor and think about whether its worth picking it up or not as its such a hassle to bend down!!!
* when you sit on a beanbag and have to call out to your DH to help you up!!! (yes really!) i was stuck!
* You pour a bath and lie down and even though the water is max level, your belly protrudes way out at the top haha
TsMummy - your last one is a classic!!!!![]()
Just what i needed today such a great thread:
Mine is definately getting a wet tummy and t shirt every time i do the dishes
and cursing everyone in the car park for parking to damn close to me DONT THEY KNOW IM PREGNANT!!!!!! espicially when i try and get DS in his booster seat as well![]()
having your toddler balancing precariously for a cuddle because there's not much 'lap' left.....
in the days leading up to DDs birth i clearly remember sitting in the rain for a good 10 minutes cause i couldnt be bothered trying to get myself outta the deck chair. DH had to come and rescue me.
also you know you are getting huge when shop assistants look at you with pure terror...dont go into girly fashion stores 38 weeks pregnant is the moral to that story LOL!
haha im with the ladies who cant pick up hand bags and clean benchs as they go - some cleaning company could make some very good $$ selling preg shirts that come with leaning rags attached to the belly! ... as for the ladies who got stuck in the bath, that hasnt happend yet but i did get suck between a book case and the couch...DH had to move the couch for me
i had a classic one tonight when i saw my mum and dad and nanna...
she's 88 years old and showed ME how to get out of a chair easier then i had been!
Ironing in your bra and undies and burning your belly!! Ouch!
i remember the pee test that i had to do all the time for the protein in the urine and my "moment" was not being able to see the cup anymore and having to just guess that i was peeing into it!!
- When your mother insists on you choosing a colour for her to paint your toenails for you (as mine did today!)
- When you contemplate carrying your mobile phone EVERYWHERE with you in the house, incase you slip over and can't get up to be able to call your other half (after all, he is partially responsible for this!)
- You rely more and more on your twenty two month old to be able to bring you things so that you don't have to get up.
- You spend entire days in pj's as none of your 'maternity' or 'fat' clothes fit comfortably any more.
- You get up to go to the bathroom during the night more times than you can keep count in the morning (and then go and raid the fridge as you are starving from eating only about a cupful of food at dinner time since baby is squashing your stomach).
- Your belly button ceases to exist.
- You hope your toes will dry properly in the air and that you don't get tinea after showering since you can't reach them to towel dry adequately.
- If there is someone else in the loo you feel like telling them to hurry up just in case you need to go in the next five minutes.
- Being a tad bit scared of using the knife sharpening tool (scarab is it?) incase you catch the knife on your belly!
Definately agree about the bikini line! I managed to do my legs with one of those epilady things the other day, and had to guess if the backs of my legs were done by the lack of plucking pain...
This thread is an absolute pi$$er. Speaking of which, I'm off to the bathroom.
When you take off your clothes at night and your cereal that you ate for breakfast falls to the floor as it was stuck in between your cleavage all day and you couldnt even feel it or see it until now!
I am now up to a 28 point turn in bed!!
Odette that happened to me last night! LOL!
This is such a funny thread! I love it!
Hahahaha that happens to me all the time with toast crumbs!!! DH keeps offering to get them out for me
And DH now says I need a council planning permit to roll from one side to the other in bed!
How bout this one - when you have to move the keyboard and mouse really close to the edge of the desk so you can reach because your belly keeps hitting the desk!
