Sweetie, stick to inches when you are making quilts, it makes the seam allowances much easier to work out!!

Sounds like you've already discovered that you can chew your way thru an awful lot of fabric (in seam allowances) when you have small blocks! Glad to hear you sorted it out with larger blocks.
