Question Has anyone frozen tuna mornay? And did it defrost well?

Made a batch tonight and want to freeze some portions, but I have no idea if it freezes well or not... if you have done it and it works well or not it would be great to know
    TIA xxoo

Yep do it all the time. We freeze it in those alfoil trays, with a thin layer of rice on the bottom and the cheesy crummy crusty bit on top, you can pull it straight out of the freezer and pop it in the oven for instant dinner!

Yep I have - or my mum has - it was fine. Ours was tuna/pasta/corn/mornay sauce/cheese/breadcrumbs. We froze huge trays for a party on Good Friday before my wedding. It defrosted and reheated really well - we reheated in the oven though.

anything with a sauce should be fine to freeze Just make sure it's in an airtight container or it might get icy bits on top. If you reheat it in the oven it shouldn't go soggy or anything. Yum I love tuna mornay!

I made this tonight and put some into a casserole dish to freeze. I heat it up in the oven or microwave, it depends on how much time I have.

Must find a quick, easy, yummy recipe for this as I cannot find mine. hint, hint....

Ok I will have to try that next time! I was really naughty once and I didn't have bread crumbs so I crumbed up some cheese and onion chips and put them on top DH was pretty darn impressed!!! But I haven't done it since as it wasn't really very healthy at all!
