I do one regularly, though not weekly~I should make more effort to do them, they are so easy! I love roast lamb, and pork, and chicken. But lamb is my fave. DH loves roast turkey, but I'm not too keen. Generally I just do boring old plain meat, no seasonings 'cept salt and pepper, though sometimes I will get creative and do rosmary, garlic, mustard...whatever depending on what meat we're having. I always make the gravey, apple sauce for pork, cranberry sauce for turkey, and often mint sauce for lamb. I've never made stuffing, I should try it one day, DH loves it! I always do heaps of roast veg- pumpkin, taties, sweet taties, carrot, onions. And have 2-3 other steamed veg too. Sometimes if I don't feel like roast veg I will do creamed potato bake.
This thread is inspiring me to do it more regularly, and with dessert. My girlfriend's mum used to do a chocolate self saucing pudding with her roasts, I used to love going to their house for sunday lunch after church!! YUM
