Sorry ladies, I've been lurking for the last week or so, getting into a positive head space after a bit of a let down - but i'm back now!

Great to see people are well on their way to acheiving their weight loss goals.

I also have a loss to report, I'm down to 62.1kg, so I'm 31kg lighter than I was 6 mths ago, and my lightest since I was 18 yrs old.

Aww, shucks ladies, you are so so so kind and welcoming. As I've got a bit of study on my plate (not to mention trying to learn the new Body Attack and Body Pump choreography which has just been released to us in SA), I'm scaling back my BB time - but you'll still see me on this thread and the fitness tips and chatter sticky too.

KTGirl - My trick is to limit my calories (to the CK website recommendation) and do 45 - 60 mins of high impact exercise after my last meal of the day. That way I go to bed in calorie depletion - not hungry or anything - and I'll just drink water after the exercise. That usually gives me anywhere from a 100 gram - 500 gram loss each day. And I do it day in and day out, until I reached my goal. That is my secret. If you want more info let me know and I am happy to share - but that is the 'guts' of my secret .

Leesa - Thanks for your advice I still can't get over a loss of 31kg that is so amazing!! I think I need to step up my exercise routine a bit. So what exercise do you do at night after your last meal? Do you go to a gym or do something at home?

JBM - Yay for you being back on track and losing already Keep it up!!

    Hi everyone else

AFM - Weighed in this morning and stayed the same this week I'm not really surprised though as AF has just shown up and I am always heavier at AF time. Hopefully next week I will record a good loss

Hello again! I dropped off the board for a bit as I wasn't able to exercise due to a hip/back injury. I've been given permission to start walking for 1/2 hr every 2nd day - finally. I have really missed exercise! I pretty much put all my weight back on but I've lost 3 kg since starting back on my diet 2 weeks ago so I'm happy with that. I've been doing the meal replacement shakes. They're a lot more filling than I thought they'd be.

Hello to all the newbies as well as the familiar faces and good luck!

Leesa - great work, and great advice!

KTGirl - you're making me lol! Exercise really is the key factor for me, being an instructor of Body Attack, Body Balance, Body Combat, Body Jam, Body Pump and RPM I can pick and choose the program I do each day. When I started out I did RPM, Combat, Jam and Pump - one class a day. Once I got to the point I was only seeing .5kg loss a week it was time to step it up - which I did, everyone has the ability to lose one kilo a week. I ditched Combat and Jam for doing more Attack and RPM classes - and watched the kilo's fall off.

No matter if I felt tired, stressed - I'd do my exercise - it helps relieve all those feelings and takes me to my happy place lol. I didn't get sick - my food intake had improved to more vegies and fruit - so even that aspect of my life improved.

It really is a life changing experience. I just knuckled down and tucked into it - no excuses - they won't give me the losses I wanted, its just pure guts and determination.

Sorry to prattle on ladies .

P.S - I just want to point out, although I am an instructor and PT - I hadn't exercised for a good 9 mths while pregnant, other than the occassional walk. So I had NO fitness levels whatsoever when I got back into it (science shows that after 10 wks of no exercise you're back to having lost all of your fitness). I just built them back up over time.

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been MIA as well - a holiday combined with busy busy life stuff and very tired with a frequently waking/teething baby. Well done to everyone with losses!! It's great.

Wow Leesa - you're such an inspiration. You really deserve your success darl.

AFM - Too scared to weigh myself after the holiday actually I was just eating what I felt like - fish & chips, indian, mexican, icecream It's a bit scary to think about now. Plus AF arrived this week so I have been feeling really blah. Will weigh in tomorrow or Sunday and just start over from there. The past few days I have been back on track but need to get back on the Wii again.

kaz: you'll get back on track, holidays are hard. good luck to you
    timefor myself: welcome back

    hi to everyone else.

another thing to add to leesa comments is watch your food intake, i can loose heaps if i exercise heaps but sometimes i don't have time or energy. you can always control what you put in your mouth and last year i lost 8 cm from my waist and didn't go to the gym once.
i love the gym but i just didn't have time or energy as i was sick.

but i think leesa is doing a fabulous job and really i am jelous of her, i'd love to be paid to go to the gym.

went for a walk again today, almost 2 hrs. back on track and not budging off. thats me.

Hi everyone! I jumped on the scales this morning (although after brekky and a coffee) and had put on 2kg since Monday! WTF!!! My DH says it serves me right for not waiting until Monday to weigh again ha ha! So umm hoping I have either put on some muscles as have been starting back up the exercise this week, or it is AF, or is it from having already eaten etc. What a heart attack. Fingers crossed monday brings better news.

Hi ladies. How is everyones weekend going?

Katones - Thats a good idea to put down your goals in writing like that. Your 900g loss this week is great

Krys - Bugger, hope it was just cause of AF and you get a better result on Monday.

JBM - well done for sticking with it. You are doing really well!!

Kaz - Hope the scales weren't too nasty to you. Hope you enjoyed your holiday, good to see you back.

Leesa - Thanks for your tips hun

T4M - How are you enjoying your walks? Glad to see you back, hope your hip/back is feeling a bit better.

AFM - I have had a really helthy weekend so far. This is the time where I tend to let myself go a bit but I put my foot down this weekend. I have exercised both days and haven't eaten anything naughty.

Tonight I am going to an outdoor movie with a few friends. You can take your own food and drink if you like so I have just made mine up. I am going to swap lunch and dinner over today as I have left overs from last night I am going to have them for lunch, then for dinner I have just packed a ham, mustard and salad sandwhich, a container with some rockmelon and pineapple and a bottle of water!! I might put in some rice crackers in case I feel the need for a snack to keep me away from the popcorn. I am feeling very proud of myself. Now I have to tell myself all night "I must be strong and stay away from popcorn" lol

KT - good plan! You could also do air-popped popcorn with no butter and just a pinch of salt and take that with you if you really really want popcorn.

Krys - I hope it was just a blip and that the scales work in your favour tomorrow.

Kaz - Have you weighed in yet?

JBM - the 2hr walk sounds great

Katones - yay on the 900g loss!

AFM - I did the Melbourne Summer Cycle this morning which was 40km and over the Westgate Bridge. I will weigh in tomorrow.
