Gidget - Hurray for the comment from DH... But does it feel or look any different to you? Don't expect results over night... Healthy hair comes with good maintenance. I didn't mention before - but your not blow drying your hair are you? The more heat and blood ciculation you draw to your scalp the more oil production there will also be, hence why people who are rather active will also experience increased oil production. Did you ever wonder why it was when you'd go out with girlfriends for a night of dancing to wake up the next morning with yucky hair? All that exercise and increased circulation! Head massages also increase circulation so if you've ever been lucky enough to get a scalp rub or massage from DH you may have noticed your hair seems oily the next day.
Jelvie - I was going to ask what hair products you used... but since you've already answered that question, how long have you been using PPS? Might be time for a change... people don't realise that their hair needs a change and they shouldn't be on the same product for years to come, instead it's great to change product whenever they run out. Each product does a different thing, and hair doesn't nessecarily need the same thing bottles and bottles later. With the itching - Do you get psorisis all over or just on the scalp? Is the tar based shampoo working for you? If it is, try using it every second wash and then every third wash just to see if that improves things for you so you can have a shot of leaving your hair unwashed a little longer - otherwise try the same method with selsun, making sure you keep it off the ends. Not trying to product sway, but i just thought i'd mention that i actually get dermatitis on my hands and palms whenever i use PPS or Delorendzo, even though i love Delorendzo... I use to get it from hairdressing with these products and even now i will break out with it from those products. Any other brand, not a sign of dermatitis! If the itching is getting a bit much, give yourself a little bit of a head massage - can soothe the itch for a short period of time. And as for the not feeling clean with unwashed hair, that is just psychological because you have washed your hair everyday for probably some time - you will feel Ok again about not washing everyday when you get your hair into a good washing routine and you might even find that your hair will feel much nicer!
