Jelvie - No wetting in between... just dry! But spraying with water in fine, BUT - I don't recommend spray in conditioners... especially if you have an oily root issue. It's really hard to control where the mist is going and it's really important that you only keep it on the lengths/ends. Provided it's a quality leave in spray - so you don't waste... Spray into the palm of your hands first and then pop onto the lengths of the hair again avoiding the roots. If you've got some mad bed hair, a daily (which is lighter, but not nessecarily used everyday) moisturiser is great at smoothing it all out. I think you'll find the healthier your hair becomes the less bad hair days you'll have. Also i'm not sure what your length is like Jelvie, but if you can tie your hair in a basic pony tale or bun, that will also keep your hair smooth for the morning and will even protect your hair from splitting ends that pillow cases cause.
