i have a billabong one i got off ebay for myself for xmas!
its very compact, and suits me just fine!
have a look on ebay you might find something cheaper after you've had a look at the shops![]()
Bath, I don't have a wallet. I am a girl. I have a PURSE. *tsk*.
I love my PURSE from Accessorize. It is leather, has a coin area and a note/card/picture area. The coin area is also lockable, there's a small zip part in there (so the coin area is split in two) and I could store notes and a card or two in there if I wanted to lock it. Growing up with a thief in the house that sort of thing becomes very important, even after you move out! And it's pink, I seem to be going through a pink phase atm, guess I'm the only one who can get away with pink accessories!
I have a lime green Spencer and Rutherford wallet and I luuuurrrrvv it. Sort of looks like it has fish scales all over it with a touch of glitter on the ends of the scales. It was quite expensive and I stupidly didn't spray it with leather protector so it looked quite grubby until I hit it with the leather conditioner I use on my couch..
oooh spencer and rutherford...mmmm..
I have a guess purse at the moment, its the least bling-y Guess could get.
My main consideration is cards, I have a lot I need to kep with me and so the design has to be one where the cards dont add to thebulk of the purse, so won't cause any stress breaks inthe leather.
My previous purse was a Liz Clairborne that I bought from Myer which I also loved. I find most of the Oroton ones are a bit too European for my taste.
I've got a colorado one.I love it but its almost worn out too.I'll be trying to buy another one the same.I hope they still make them. Its not huge but its not too compact either. It has a zippered coin bit on the outside and two note sections on the inside and a photo bit and heaps of room for cards etc.
I f you're going to use ebay you have to be pretty careful about what you buy - there are lots of fakes out there.
Someone sold me fake Paddington once and it was a total PITA getting a refund from her.
I lurve spencer & rutherford. I used to have a nice red oroton one but I didn't look after it and it cracked so now I have an el cheapo one from one of the bag shops. But I would def recommend oroton marc's and mine both lasted for ages. I had a gf who's lasted for 6 yrs.
Ha! Ryn I knew someone would pick me up on THAT... ok purse then!![]()
I've got an empty one!!
I would highly reccomend a coloured one! I used to be a black purse girl (everthing has to match etc!) but got given a beige coloured purse one birthday and haven't gone back since! Since most handbags tend to be lined with black fabric, having a coloured purse stands out! My current purse is an aqua/teal colour. I'm after a new one and I'm thinking of getting a Guess purse this time based on all the good write up it's got. My current one is a Pineland brand and was only $20 but has lasted me 2 years of solid use.
I'm on my third Jag wallet. I love them.
The best one I've ever had was a black Cellini one - it had all the requirements you're looking for and the leather didn't scuff. It's one of their basic classic styles that never gets changed.
I've gone through 3 Oroton wallets and been really annoyed at how badly the leather scuffs and gets marked. My next one will not be from Oroton! The reason I've gone back 3 times is because each was a different colour of leather, thinking it would not be as bad the next time around....i.e. had a cream, brown and black one and they all did it. As a functioning wallet though, they are great and their classic styles are the best.
Anyway, my only bit of advice, is don't do Oroton unless it's a fabric wallet.
Some Country Road ones are also pretty good.
What's with Oroton??? their leather bags scuff really easily as well! I have el cheapo leather handbags that have been used 10 times as much and they don't look scuffed at all??? My mother used to love Oroton products, had their mesh purse etc. I think their standards have dropped over the past decade.
ooooo really? Maybe I've just been lucky! I still have my oroton handbag and it never scuffed and I only got it a few years ago.
I've got a pink leather guess purse, Its a long one but it takes up less room in my handbag iykwim coz its way thinner. I can also fit a lot more coins in it than my compact one, it got a hidden pocket and photo spots
I have a Burberry purse that DH bought for me on his last trip to England and i love it
The style is not for everyone but it suits my taste and it has all the required compartments
