Apple crumble is quick and easy to make in huge batches. I usually do that for family functions and use tinned apple.
I do it in my big pyrex lasange dish. I use 2 to 3 cans of apple and double the crumble mixture and put a bowl of whipped cream next to it. It would easily serve 12 people.
115g (3/4 cup) plain flour
1 tsp ground cinnamon
180g butter, chilled, cubed
140g (2/3 cup, firmly packed) brown sugar
35g (1/3 cup) rolled oats
Combine the flour and 1 tsp of the cinnamon in a large bowl.
Add the butter and use your fingertips to rub it into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
Stir in the brown sugar and oats.
Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the top to completely cover the apples.
Bake in 190 degree oven for about 15-20 mins
Mud cake is always a winner
Sticky date pudding or cake
trifles are easy
Fruit salad with whipped cream is a yummy basic!
I was thinking something like some mini muffins...Rasberry,blueberry....with some fresh cream on the side or you can buy the cream that comes in the tin, ready to serve.
Big fruit platters, with a lovely assortments of fruits.
Black forest cake with fresh cream & fesh Cherries.
How about little individual pavs with a variety of different toppings - everyone (well just about) loves a pav! Or if they don't they'd love a caramel tart, yummmmmmm.
I make a mean waffle bread and butter pudding, with raspberries and lindt chocolate... the recipe is around here somewhere lemme know if you want it.
ohhh waffle B and B...i would need a waffle iron though or do you use the pre made(as if cai would use pre made!) ha

I make a yummy cheesecake slice using Lattice Biscuits. You can serve it as a finger food, or dress it up with strawberries and cream.

doudou i would got pudding ,tart or pie!!
Lol really? That would have been the last thing I'd have thought of!! Maybe I'm just weird, I never really liked the stuff even as a kidI'm so un-Ostrayan.
I've always been a mad sucker for a caramel tart, I'm pretty sure they're egg-free? My mum used to make little individual caramel tarts involving gingernut biscuits (I'm not sure if you would be able to use different ones, I think maybe Choc Ripples or something with that sort of texture might work if you aren't a fan of gingernut??)...
You get a muffin/cupcake pan, pop a gingernut upside-down into each circle, then pop them in a 180C oven for a few minutes. They soften and buckle in the middle a bit, ending up in a cup-like shape, then when they're cooled and hard you just spoon a dollop of caramel (I prefer made from scratch, you could use tinned if you're short on time and it's suitable) into the biscuit, then finish with a blob of whipped cream, and viola! If you wanted to be really fancy, you can spread a bit of melted chocolate over the caramel to 'seal' them before you add the cream, they end up a bit like gigantic Pods (and OMG I loooovvve those things).
They're really fast and easy, and pretty impressive - and the best thing is they're essentially finger food, just stack 'em on a plate and everyone can help themselves with no mess!!
Sorry if that's not much help, I've made myself hungry now hahaha![]()
Oh Cailin. Yum.
