tina, no worries!have a great weekend!
Tina - well what we did was a little bit different. We're our own special brand of pagan, and so we went to a place that feels..calming and close to the elements for me, and we took four hairs from each of our heads, and tied one of each together. So we had 4 little knots that had a strand of each of our hair. Then we dropped one into the river, buried one in the earth, threw one up to get caught in the wind, and burnt the last one. It was our way of..kind of sending our baby back to the elements. And we just sat quietly and had a little cry together, I sent off a little prayer. We had a quiet dinner together afterwards with nice natural ingredients and organic wine, and then bought a mandarin tree, which is still alive and strong.
That was for the first EDD, the second one fell last Christmas Eve, and we didn't actually do anything for that one..maybe because we'd been through it before, I'm not sure.
Vanaithi - I'll probably test in a week, because I'm fairly sure I O'd last Friday. Oh, and we don't have cats yet, but want to get some when we move

Hi. I'm Joey. I m/c last weekend and am having trouble occupying my mind for a month before the dr says we should TTC again. DH I'm sure is over all the baby talk, so thought this is the best place for me now!! Sorry for the ignorance, what's EDD?
Oh joey honey welcome - so sorry for your loss my sweet. Feel free to say anything you feel in here without judgement - your feelings are real and i'm sure we can each identify with a lot of them. No need to feel ignorant - EDD is Estimated Delivery Date. No doubt you will have one too. I hope we can make you feel as comfortable as you need to be and that your stay is short before you are UTD (up the duff!) againPS. Even tho I am UTD, I do find it very hard to leave this thread - the enormity of feeling I felt TTC is still very fresh in my mind and I feel everyone's pain as if it were indeed me currently going thru it.
Acria - how you described your 1st m/c EDD was just incredible!!
Tina - I must admit we didn't do anything at either of our EDD's - I think we may have even missed the the exact date. We just commented at around the time of each one how life would have been a lot different around now had things worked out differently. I think that by the 1st EDD i had already had the 2nd m/c and it was getting all confusing about the feelings of the first from the 2nd. I think too that we were so focussed on just getting pg that we were always looking forward rather then backward. Everyone is different and copes with these things in different ways. I pray ul get thru urs ok.
Jen - ok - there are 2.2lbs per kg. So I think i put on around 26lb with DS so your 24lb is about there if not even better! Oh we'll have you talkin' kilos in no time!!!!
Hey vanaithi, pbstar, mollycat, and everyone else - big big big hugs!!

Hi All,
Joey sorry for your loss, please visit regularly and tell us how you aare going, we have all been through what your going through
Has anyone had really weird cycles lately. AF sort of arrived Wed night and then I commenced using tampons/pads etc and they kept coming out lily white..... nothing. Then today more so cause it was driving me mental I checked myself and there is definately blood there but it is not like a normal AF. I am usually clock work??
I get to the point where I think maybe I should do a test but then I see another minute drop of blood
This is sooo weird - any suggestions? What's going on??
Sorry if I have grossed anyone out![]()
I'm going to try to be quick because I have to go beddy-bies! I have to work tomorrow *groan*...
Acria - Nice to see you back hun. I was beginning to wonder where you had gotten to. I hope your trying to distracting yourself from the tww is working!
Also, I have two fantastic pamphlets at work that are about renting and pets. One is designed to give to landlords to help them decide to let you have a pet when renting. I was amazed how good the pamphlet was when they arrived. If you would like me to send you a copy of each please feel free to pm me with your addressAnd I promise I won't stalk you... Wagga Wagga is waaaaaaay to far. I prefer to stalk the locals
Jen - I'm hoping that you had one helluva implantation dip!!! I can't even tell you how hard I am hoping for you that this is YOUR cycle and that AF is not coming for at least the next 9 months!
Mollycat - So glad the tamoxifen hasn't made you too sick. I get headaches quite a bit (my chiro is a great help though) so I can totally sympathise with you. I hope they stop soon
pbstar - Which acupuncturist are you seeing? I wonder if it's the same one I was seeing. Mine was great and she was really lovely. I just found it hard to fit appointments in my work schedule, and now that I've cut my hours back I worry about spending too much money. I'm trying to balance things, lol.
Oh! And my advise it to have a teaspoon of honey on standby when you drink the herbs (they are soooooooooooo disgusting!). The honey is a godsend!
Tina - Your "fertile time" weekend is a brilliant idea! Take some lovely scented candles with you to really set the mood
Vanaithi - I hope you are sleeping better sweetness. Insomnia is a biatch!
Joey - You've defintely found the right place! The ladies in here were amazing supportive when I lost my little angel. I felt like I didn't belong anywhere, but these girls certainly changed my mind very quickly. Everyone is very understanding and comforting because we've all been through something similar, and while all women grieve differently, we can at least appreciate each others emotions and give support where needed.
Are you hoping to start TTC again straight away? My obstetrician recommended waiting 2 cycles, but my DH and I decided to try straight away. Unfortunately I didn't fall pregnant on my first cycle, but we're giving it all we've got this month.
Just remember that it can take your body time to get back into it's normal cycle. You will probably still have hcg in your blood which suppresses ovulation, so until your hcg level reduces to a pretty low level your cycle won't start again. It took me 4-5 weeks, but can differ person to person, and can depend on how far into your pregnancy you were.
If you are hoping to TTC again straight away, then I hope that your body recovers quickly and your stay in this thread is short due to conceiving a little miracle!
Easha - Sorry to hear your cycle is playing funnybuggers. If you're unsure, then maybe just do a test for peace of mind. The worst that can happen is that you waste the cost of a test. But just imagine if it comes up positive!
As for me, I thought I was over this illness and it came back with avengence yesterday afternoon! It started with the sneezes and has progressed into a stuffy nose, sore neck, cough and headaches today. I think the stupid germs regrouped and have launched a second attack. I hope my immune system slaps them around a bit and scares them off quickly!!
hi everyone
welcome joey- i am sure you will find the comfort and support here that you need, and we never get over all the baby talk like our DH's do so you've come to the right place!
easha- not sure what is going on with your cycle- i would probably test if i was you just to make sure, i have heard of spotting in early preg around the time AF would be due so maybe that's it?
KL- sorry to hear you're not well. I am going to see Lily Liu (in Sydney)- am guessing yours was in Victoria? not looking forward to drinking herbs but you gotta do what you gotta do! will definitely take your advice on the honey though
acria- good luck with the house hunting and well done for staying so sane this TWW!
