Sally - I know exactly what you mean about the when to TTC again.
One doc says wait a cycle my Pregnancy loss midwife said wait 2 cycles ( mind you I am starting on clomid as I don't 'o' every month ... but knowing my luck i will 'o' on my own and take the tablet as well and I will end up UTD with multiples ... but hey as long as they and me are healthy then i'm up for it lol)
I thought the TWW was bad but the wait for AF to return I think can be worse.
It is very confusing about when to actually try again. Try when you feel both you and your partner are ready to conceive again.
Please do not blame yourself... I did this too and I am sure every lady in this thread has done so as well.
