Started spotting yesterday, but not enough to stop me from getting some b-day action! AF was kind enough to wait until today, so that's all I can ask for! Well, I could ask for a BFP, but...... Anyhow, have to jet again--be back later!
Thought I would pop in and say hi before I run off for the afternoon.
Hope you are all doing well and will achieve you miracles soon
Jen - Happy Belated Birthday Hope you had an awesome day and were spolit rotten.
AFM - about 11wks now, saw the Gyno a wk ago and had a mini U/S and all looked good. Now going for a NT scan in a week or so...... one last little test before I announce it to the world - cant wait.
Kazaraz - Sounds like you are getting down to the bottom of things. Sorry that you have to wait so long, but sounds like everything will be clearer in a couple of weeks.
mummyofthreeboys - Nice to meet you, although not under the greatest of circumstances.
Hannah - Hugs babe. Such a ****ty week for you, but things can only get better! Thanks for your continued support!
Mel1979 - Sometimes we need a cry, vent - whatever to relieve ourselves of the massive burden we are feeling. I know it is in our best interests to be positive, happy etc... but that doesn't mean that we can't feel not so positive/well at times either. mummyofthreeboys said it beautifully.
Hello to everyone else.
Well, the witch is back for me (visited yesterday arvo). Approx 35 days from last af, so my cycle is getting shorter, which is good. (I can have anything up to 55 days) But as I said in another post, I feel good about her returning. I am taking all my tablets and liquid medi from the naturopath with joy (hard to believe as some of it tastes terrible). I am feeling positive, not necessary for a BFP next month, but I feel like I am back on track to getting & staying pg soonish.
I have to say that I think joining you gals has certainly helped. Your support, positive posts, understanding etc... Thanks so much to everyone.
hi everyone,
I had been lurking a bit throughout the start of the week and then went away for work stuff for thursday and friday night.. then had visitors last night so been very very busy! its hard to catch up on whats going on with everyone though... so Hi there to everyone and I hope you are are going well
well... my body decided to be a bit mean to me..... but it could also be a good thing too... I had been having 35 day cycles, O'ing on cd20... well, this month my body decided to O on either friday or saturday.... so around cd13 or 14... (just telling by CM) which has to be a good thing, maybe my body is finally starting to settle down.. but the bad thing about it was that I was away at the time and DH and I have not had ANY successful BD attempts (lots of bd'ing but he often has trouble with getting to that point... iykwim ).... so I can basically rule us out for this month. we will be able to get some action in tonight but im afraid it will just be too late. oh well... i guess the best thing for me to do is look at the positive that my body is hopefully becoming more "normal" - now just to hope that the pre af spotting buggers off!
well.. best get back to it.. so much housework and washing to do since I have been away.
I recently lost my 13 week baby due to body stalk abormalities and we are hoping to start trying again soon. The process was extremely traumatic and all I want it to be pregnant again. Did everybody feel so guilty, alone and empty when their loss happened?
I worry I am desperate so i don't have to feel this way anymore. My best friend was due 4 days after my due date and I cant stop feeling like I must be a horrible person for this to have happened to me.
Sally- so sorry for your loss, the way you are feeling is completely normal, but it is an extremely difficult time. You have definately come to the right place but so sorry that you had to find yourself here. I have had two losses the first my best friend fell pregnant 1 month before me and now has a beautiful 5 month old boy and the second time I worked along side two ladies that are about 5 months pregnant now, It's very hard and by no means a reflection on the type of person you are. Hoping that your ttc journey is very short
Hi Sally,
You are not alone here.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss.
Yes it is extremely hard and the emotions your are feeling are completely understandable. I went through and still go through thoses same emotions.
I can assure you some days will be better than others.
My best friend was due 6 weeks before me and my cousin was due 3 weeks before. My bestie actually avoided me till last Thursday as she told me she didn't know what to say. Yet my Cousin came to the hospital to visit me.
It is a very hard situation to be in but try to be honest and open with your friend about your emotions. I am sure she will understand as she is probably a little unsure of what to say or do as well. But remember she is your bestie for a reason!
Give yourself some time to heal. Allow yourself and your partner to grieve as this little person had bought hopes dreams and aspirations for you both.
There are so many lovely ladies in here that offer so much support and advice. Sometimes i just pop in to read and don't post but it has provided me with strength when i needed it.
Take care hun.....My thoughts are with you and your partner.
sally - I am so very sorry for your loss Yes I felt (and still have days where I feel) empty, alone and miserable. That is why I am so grateful for this forum. The emptiness and misery do get better with time, but the loneliness was gone when I met the wonderful ladies here. They all understood exactly how I felt. I was able to gain support from their experiences and comfort and hope from those who have gone on to have successful pregnancies.
My FIL actually asked my husband what I had done to deserve such a punishment from God when he was told about our loss (I will be forever grateful to his minister for soon setting him straight). But this is not a punishment from any 'god' for anything you have done. Unfortunately s**t happens to good people.
I hope you can gain the same support and hope from the stories shared here that I have. Allow yourself time to grieve your angel and to heal. A very wise woman on here once said to take one day at a time and to allow yourself to feel whatever you feel. I that your TTC journey is a short one.
Thank you for replying and so quickly!!! I think this might be my worst day, I haven't been able to stop crying or blaming myself for even a second.
I worry I just want to get pregnant o fill the void. Ive been looking up the advised waiting times, its so tricky to work out what is right! One doctor says try straight away another says wait a few cycles. Was speaking to my husband and made an agreement, if its a long wait till the first cycle we will only wait for one and if its shorter we'll wait two.
It is just so so surreal. Im 27 and should be so fertile and in my prime and the most abnormal occurance. Not that I would wish it on any one else ever, but its still o hard to not think why me?
xxoo
Sally - I know exactly what you mean about the when to TTC again.
One doc says wait a cycle my Pregnancy loss midwife said wait 2 cycles ( mind you I am starting on clomid as I don't 'o' every month ... but knowing my luck i will 'o' on my own and take the tablet as well and I will end up UTD with multiples ... but hey as long as they and me are healthy then i'm up for it lol)
I thought the TWW was bad but the wait for AF to return I think can be worse.
It is very confusing about when to actually try again. Try when you feel both you and your partner are ready to conceive again.
Please do not blame yourself... I did this too and I am sure every lady in this thread has done so as well.
Im so sorry to hear you are feeling that way. I have just gone through a m/c aswell and we are trying straight away. The dr said to wait a cycle only so they would know the correct timings of the pregnancy, but I think...if you know when you ovulated it would be easy to work it out!
Things will be better for you, you'll have the up & down days but the time between good days..they will get shorter for you and you'll eventually come to terms with it.
My husband & I planted a tree and I tell you...standing in Bunnings howling saying "I shouldnt be doing this i should still have my baby!" was soooooooo difficult & so hard and ( surprisingly not embarrassing!) so worth it. We water our angel baby tree every day and it helps with the grief.
Hannah--Honey, I'm so sorry to hear about d@mn AF and your vacation troubles! Sounds like you could use another vacation! I've had a couple cycles where I passed some large clots, and I know what you mean about the 'tenseness' that comes with the pain prior to passing it, then the feeling of being more relaxed once it's passed. I may have asked this before, but did you ever have an u/s to rule out that there may be any leftover tissue remaining? I still have to ask my dr. about it... I kinda ditched my appt. on my b-day However, I was nice enough to call and cancel, I didn't just completely ditch it. It's just that I was spotting already, plus it was my b-day, plus DS was with me! At almost 8, he's definitely a bit too old to be in the room with me while I have a pap! Anyhow, still have to call to reschedule, but I still plan on asking about the dye thing and the u/s to check on remaining tissue or blocked tubes. Are you going to start temping/charting with this new cycle?
charm--I'm praying that the results of the loss of your baby girl help to bring you peace and closure! Did you ever get an answer as to why your right ovary might be swollen?
Krystie--My fave chart stalker! For what it's worth, I think it's very appropriate for you to post here.... your avi brings back a flood of memories that always put a smile on my face! Luv ya lots my fellow FAB'er! *mwah*
Mel--It's ok and completely natural for you to have your down days, please don't apologize for it! You've been struggling with this for so long, and now you've put a lot of pressure on yourself, and on your body--it's a tremendous burden! It doesn't matter how long you were pg--your baby was instantly a part of you--and will still be forever in your heart! Please don't let the amount of time you were pg detract from the emotional angst of losing a child--a loss of life, especially that of a child, is soul-destroying! We're all here for you!
MO3B--Thinking of you, and hoping you're not feeling any better! lol....IYKWIM! Sending lots of vibes your way!
mrzbaby--While I'm sure it was tough, one day you'll be grateful that you bought that charm for your bracelet in memory of your little angel! Big *hugs*
Easha--Thanks for the b-day wishes! *hugs* Congrats on your mini u/s, and best of luck on your NT scan coming up next week!
Rhi--Your positivity is inspiring! I'm glad you feel good about AF and getting your body and cycle back on track! Best of luck!
boble--Are you only going by CM, or do you also temp/chart your cycles? Have you tried an OPK?
Sally--I'm so very sorry for the loss of your little angel! Unfortunately, those feelings of guilt, loneliness, and emptiness are all too common. Hannah said it perfectly, tho, in saying that a m/c is not a punishment from God for anything you did wrong/or didn't do right! We've all felt that way.... it's certainly the hardest thing I've ever had to go thru! Don't push yourself.... there's no time limit on grief.... you just have to take it one day at a time, and know that eventually it does get better! This forum and these girls.... this is my haven.... I don't know where I'd be without them! Remember that you're among friends that understand, and we'll be here to help you along the way! Big *hugs*
Hello everyone and welcome to all the new (and returning) people!
I'm sorry I don't have time for my Monday persies because it's a long weekend here; DH is home and we're going on a picnic later, hopefully. This will just have to be a quicky me post if you don't mind.
To cut a long story short...2 weeks ago DS had bronchitis, then last week all of us had gastro in turn. Not a pleasant couple of weeks. Of course right through that time was my fertile time!! Since Tuesday last week sorry if TMI...about 2-3 days after last BD I have had thrush-like symptoms. So far they seem to be under control with diet, but neither have they fully gone away. I'm reluctant to get treatment because I suspect we might be pg. I got the gastro bug last in our family, but about 5 or-so days after what might have been conception. I have POAS twice (nothing like being TOO early!!) and both negative, but we are going to get some more early tests today. OK....so this long story isn't very short - sorry. My question is, has anyone else had thrush or thrush-like symptoms in their TWW? I had thrush just after conception in DS's pregnancy and then a UTI, which I believe was probably my immune system dipping to allow implantation. I have also been feeling a little queasy (not related to gastro) and have had metallic taste in my mouth. What do you think?? I am so not good at waiting...this frustrates me so much! Whilst I can be patient about many things....this is not one of them!!
I'm really sorry for not sending any special messages. Please know that I'm reading along, and thinking of you all.
Take care,
M
PS..I'm due back to work tomorrow for the first time in two weeks, and DS has a brand new runny nose this morning!!
Jen, Coco, Mrz Baby, Hannah and Jack Jack ( I hope I haven't left anyone off!) thank you so much for your support and comments.
Well thankfully I think I have woken up not as emotional as yesterday...
A little back ground I thought wouldn't go astray:
I was 13 weeks pregnant and spent 2 days goig from speacialist to specialist until someone could tell me what was wrong as this abnormality is so rare. Its not genetic and seems to be a one off but that doesn't make it easier.
The condition was so serious it ended up being life threatening for me with no possible chance the baby could survive. No organs were in the body other then the brain and some had attached to the lining of my womb.
I had an emergnancy termination 2 days later and I felt like so much of me died that day. I cant shakke the feeling that every bone in my body says protect your baby and I made a choice to terminate.
Its just eating me up that maybe I could of done something different at some point...
My husband is amazing, caring, gentle, loving and strong, I worry he hates me as much as I do...
It was only Sunday 1st of March this all happened, ironically the day (exactly!!) we met 8 years ago...
Im guessing Im going through that stage of hating nearly everyone. I just can't seem to feel like Im not sinking all the time!!
This forum has really been my saving grace so THANK YOU!!!
Hey, I just thought i might swong this one on you.
When you ovulate each month, does it come out of the alternate ovary? like, last month I ovualted from the right ovary (dr thinks...) and I had a cyst on it about 3-4cms. So with this month, I felt the ovulation pains out of the left ovary, will i get a cyst there too?? Dr said it was from my...ermm...thinking of name...luetas corpum (?) and that's what supports the ovum? Is that right?
How long before cysts go away? dr said wait 2-3 months to scan again and make sure it is gone depending on whether or not im pregnant again in that time...
Also, alot of ppl have said you're more fertile the first cycle after a m/c, is that right? And if so, why do they say this and does the fact that I had a natural m/c (had no surgery, just tablets to induce a "labour") make me more likely than someone who had a curette?
Sooo many questions...I think i need to do something to distract myself, damn having days off!!! On the plus side, im thinking that having days off (5 to be exact..) Im going to be mroe relaxed over the time when implantation will (hopefully) occur Thoughts??
Hi Coco,
Yes apparently you do ovulate alternate sides each cycle, according to my Dr. But I ironically only ever get pain on my right side each month but my last preg come from my left ovary??m go figure!
Can't shed any light on the fertility after M/C as I have had 3 D&C and think i am gonna give my body a break a cycle of two. Spoke to my Pregnancy loss midwife today and she told me it can take 3 - 4 months for AF to come back after so many D&C's in 3 weeks......great NOT!!!!!!!
I know it is really hard but just try to be you when the 'implantation' happens..... such good advice that even i wouldn't take notice of
As for the leutus thing... it is when the cyst forms where the egg was released (or to be released but doesn't) from after ovulation and it fills with fuild or blood... they usually go away after a few months... your body breaks it down... they usually scan in a few months to make sure it going away.
Good luck hun for you,
Em
