To answer your question, to get an avatar, you need to be a paid member, not sure if you have to have "so many" posts before you do or if you can just pay. To get the bits at the bottom, go to user profile at the top and click on edit signature, you can add your information in there. There is a limit to how much info you can put in. Hope that helps and doesn't confuse you.
