TTC after Miscarriage or Loss ~ April 08 #2

Jodsan,

. I have tried googling the same thing and from what I found the cervix can actually be a different positions at different times of the day so they recommend if you use CP to predict O or whatever to check at the same time of day.

I used first response last time I fell pg at 12 dpo in the middle of the afternoon and got BFP. Everyone's bodies are different though but I have had success not using first morn urine. Maybe wait until Tue or Wed to test again. It still could be too early - you never know.

I won't say sorry about BFN yet because until af arrives.....

Jodsan--When is AF due? (Stay away witch!) Maybe it's still a little too early to tell with a HPT. Can you ask your dr. for a BT? I wish that I could help you with the cervix question, but lol... I've tried to figure out how my cervix feels, and it always feels the same--so I don't even know if it's my cervix that I'm feeling! Open, closed, soft, hard, I can't tell the difference! All I do know is that I feel so anxious for you to find out--going to chew all my nails off! Good luck & baby dust galore coming your way!

Hello Jodsan..

Unfortunately, I am with the others here...No idea about cervix.

Have you tried and OPK to see if you may be O'ing...Also, it can still be too early on the HPT so don't give up until she shows her ugly face! By the way, are your temps still up or have they changed at all?

mmteacher--Just realized your in Arizona, it's nice to know there's someone else in my time zone around here! I find myself waiting all day for everyone is Australia to wake up, since there's a 17 hour time difference! My DF's Nana lives in Phoenix. We visited her a couple years ago and went to Rawhide, it was so much fun! Have you been there?

Hey girls, well another BFN this morning so pretty sure I'm not pregnant. I felt pregnant at 10dpo when I got the faint pos but I haven't for the past couple of days. I was going to go to the Dr to get bloods but have decided not to bc I suspect it was a chemical pg and it doesn't matter what the bloods say now. I'm positive AF is on the way, I've developed terrible PMS symptoms, feel so low and irritable. On top of that now I've got a sore throat and my sinuses really hurt so I've probably caught something off DS again.

With the cervix thing, I used to use a diaphram so got pretty good at feeling my cervix. I have been checking it twice daily, in the morning and the afternoon, it definately changes positions daily but I have never felt it open before except for O time. I am certain that I O'd 13 days ago so I cant have been Oing again. It feels more closed today, very strange!

DH and I are considering taking 3 months off TTC altogher, we just feel like it is getting too stressful and affecting our lives too much. It's been 6 months and my body might just be telling me its not ready yet. Guess I'll decide for sure over the next couple of days.

Jodsan--

I'm so sorry you got another BFN and that it's been such a terrible weekend! Maybe you're right to take a couple months off--you know it seems to happen much easier when you aren't really trying as much. But I know that's no consolation, so I'm truly sorry. Then again, maybe you just feel that way now b'cuz you're feeling so down and irritable. If I could, I would give AF a nice, swift kick in the a$$! Are you actually late yet, is there still just a chance that maybe it's a little too soon? Everything's crossed for you, hun!

totally know how you feel. we are talking about having a break too but i know that even if we say we do we will secretly be hoping for a miracle so not sure if that would work...i wish i could give you some great insight or advice but i can't

Jen~Wow-you're right, we are close...When I first found this thread I wasn't sure if I should join because I thought maybe it was only gals from Australia but I figured they'd welcome me anyhow and they did! BTW, for those of you in Australia, that has ALWAYS been my dream place to visit...Someday!!! AFM~I finished the Clomid and I am just waiting for O. I can definitely feel all the twinges in my ovaries that tell me that there are definitely eggs waiting to come out! I have had lots of hot flashes and some side cramps but that is all for side effects so far! I will start testing with the OPK's on Wednesday!

I havent been on here for a few days, but im glad to I got on today as I thought I was on CD9 but its actually CD12...better start gettin cracking with the bd'ing

Jodsan, sorry to hear that AF might be on her way...its not over till the fat lady sings.

Pbstar ? We?re almost on the same CD. I?m praying for your bfp hun?.

Mmteacher ? welcome and GL with the clomid, the hot flushes are horrible, but that?s the only side effect I got too.

For everyone else, I hope you're all doing well, and trying to stay as positive and happy as possible...all those lovely vibes will help us all get our BFP's.

DH and I are going to try a few different strategies this month...this may sound funny but we are going to bd in the morning instead, apparently 'the boys' are stronger in the morning??? Also got DH wearing boxer shorts, he's not a happy camper, but its all for a good cause

We usually bd everyday around the time of ov, but this month it will be every 2-3, apprently this is more effective than everyday, (the 'boys' need time to mature properly...typical, its seems us women are always waiting for our 'boys'...both kinds.... to mature!!!!

Hey jodsan - it's really not fair at all for u to have had such an up and down ride like that

i can only imagine how i would feel in that situation and I'd be pretty much a mess. This TTC is so intense and stressful and if u need to take a break then that's what u need to do. We r here for u as long as u need us to be

. Just as a side topic - have u thought about going to see that AP that I recommended? I don't know if it makes any difference to u but he is now also practicing out of Balwyn. You may have decided not to see an AP or r seeing someone else, that's cool. Having said all of that, just wait for AF to arrive before u rule urself out.

Mel - I can't believe it - so sorry hun!

Issy - it is terribly impractical for us to BD in the morning (with DS waking up so early) but if the swimmers are better then maybe we should make a special effort! I'll make a note for next cycle.....

hope all of you are doing really well...im really busy with new job, so havent posted much, but ive been trying to get on daily and see everyones news...im on CD15 now, so im asssuming O is any day now..we havent temped or charted this month, just trying to be a bit more relaxed about it all, as you said Jodsan, this TTC thing can be sooo stressful and really hard on the relationship...
Mel, so sorry about AF, please try to look after yourself...
PLC1805, if i dont get a BFP this month, im going to loook into seeing an AP, and i just happen to live in Balwyn, so id love the details if you wouldnt mind..not sure of you have to PM for that!

yes we are cycle buddys- what day do you usually o? i think i am usually CD19 so i have a little way to go but it seems like time is flying at the moment, i thought i was only CD7 until i logged on this morning. i might take on your idea of the morning BDing- seems like we've tried everything else so why not ?!
