Katie, I’m really sorry about your mum. It’s good that the tumour is small and that it was detected early. I’m glad you’ll be able to go up and spend some time with her but take care of yourself and your little girl too.
I’m also thyroid challenged. My TSH level is about 3.3 which is considered OK by medical standards but my naturopath said that anything higher than 2 indicates a problem. She’s got me on ThyroCo. So far I haven’t seen anything different in my temps but my energy levels have improved.
Paula, my temps are really low too. Before ovulation I go from as low as 35.6 to 36.2. Before August, my temps didn’t go up after ovulation at all. But last month I managed to have a rise which ranged from 36.3 to 36.7. Still not very high, but I was more concerned about not having a clear temp shift before. You can look at my chart in my sig.
I told my stupid Obs about my low temp when we went back for Hamish’s autopsy result and he was totally uninterested.
Sue, when The Bad Thing happened to me, I had the light pink tinge but it turned redder and redder. The fact that yours turns brown seems to be OK. Fingers, toes, eyes and hair all crossed.
Helen, your chart is very dynamic. I know this is freaky to say but how about you ignore your temps and test in a few more days?
How’s my dear Jo? I’m actually typing this post in Word and will paste into BB at lunch time to save it being eaten :-)
Just heard from Repromed, going to have some bloods tomorrow to check my levels.
Fingers crossed they are all OK.
Also just got a phone call from my local GP, my thyroid TSH levels are up, so I have to increase levels of thyroxine (to 150). Amazing isnt it!!! if it wasnt for me harassing them and asking for bloods all the time to check, you never know what might happen.
I also mentioned the spotting and she didnt seem concerned, but she wants me to have another test in 2 weeks to check the thyroid again.
Hammi - I have seen an endocronologist about my thyroid, he says that "providing the TSH is less than 4.5 mU/L, the thyroid values will be OK". Hope this helps.
My scan was good. This one was just the 12-week one to give a better due date and check the nuchal fold. Oh, and to check how many fetuses, but we already knew there was just one, of course. We measured at 12+3, so I got a new due date that's a few days earlier. The nuchal fold test gave us a 1 in 3260 chance of Down's. And DH joked that the baby looked just like him -- a head, two arms, and two legs.
I'm sorry to here about your mom, Katie. My mom had breast cancer when I was 17, but has recovered completely even though she kept her mouth shut for a year and a half after finding the tumor herself. It's nice that you can spend some time with her, take care of yourself, too!
I forgot to mention about the thyroid that I believe it gives us slightly lower temps than the average person. I even read somewhere when I started charting that it might make the temps unreliable for charting purposes. However, that's probably all moot if we're properly medicated.
Helen, I also got BFNs when I tested before AF was due. It's such a rough wait! I really hope there's a BFP at the end of the wait for you.
Today we're leaving for a week in Spain with two of our close friends. I can't wait to see what news there is from Rozzie, Helen, Sue and others when I get back. Take care of yourselves, girls, and I'll be thinking of you!
Great news on the scan Tildy!! have a relaxing, wonderful time!
Katie - I am so sorry about your mum, but her quick diagnosis seems very encouraging! Hopefully all will be well and this is just a hiccup of life! If you need any time out while you are in Brissy feel free to contact me I will try and be there in an instant!
I have to say I am no longer feeling very confident, the spotting even though still tiny amount and very brown has increased with the odd sharp pain every now and then. Fingers crossed but we will see
Lan - very good advice about stopping the charting.....But I have to say I am one of those obsessed people and....well....CAN"T!!!! I keep saying maybe next cycle I will just give it a miss and let nature take it's course, but I am a bit of a control freak.
I hope everyone else is traveling OK, Katie how is Mel? Does she still pop in here? Is she coping OK after Joshua's passing?? I didn't know her but was so terribly devastated for her.
Well I am in the nervous wait at the moment. I decided too stay home today, just in case it is bad news with the blood test. I am so hoping that they are going to call to say my levels are exactly where they should be!!! I havent had any bleeding today. Though my bbs dont feel sore at all.
I have just got the internet at home now, so watch out girls!!!
Helen - dont give up yet, remember me with the spotting etc from 8dpo and looked what happen.
