I was also told to wait until the bleeding stopped, which for me took about 3-weeks, I had spotting (sometime relatively heavy) for up to 5-weeks. I am surprised that your Dr has not spoken to you since, did he/she suggest you come in for a check-up at some point? My OB wanted to see me 6-weeks after, no internal check, just asked questions & answered mine.
