cmeglles - it's a hard road after a late loss.

I hope you're doing ok. Go gently on yourself.

I am relatively new to BB and I can't post links in because I don't know how, but there are a few "stickies" at the beginning of the miscarriage/loss forum where testing is extensively discussed. It is really comprehensive and I can't do it justice, so I won't try to repeat it here.

I do recommend reading it though. It really helped me. Take notes though because its quite a complex area to get your head around.

The testing recommended depends on your circumstances, but if you have researched the testing available, then you can ask questions of Dr and they can explain why or why not certain tests are likely to be useful.

I have had a raft of testing, mostly bloods but some invasive to assess anatomical structure, and still more to come.

After my first late loss at 22 weeks I immediately wanted to try again, and did. After my subsequent later losses at 15 and 19 weeks, I needed time to heal, physically and emotionally, which actually accorded with the advice I was given. I can't say I am healed, but I am in a much better place now emotionally.

If you have a query about the time frame for trying again, ask, and ask for the reasons why the Dr is recommending that period of time.

Go gently.
