    Hi twin mummies,

Bella 14 more shifts that does sound like much at all you must be so excited Whaoo your nearly 20 weeks hows you tummy, growing nicely I hope. Hope your scan goes well on Friday let us know how your little one is going hope they are sharing the nutrience properly. Hope work isn't to stressful but at least you have something to look forward to.

I had a scan on Wednesday and the were worried about the fluid level and the size of the bubs I think there might be 200grms difference between the 2, I had to go back on Friday and see a specialist (well not sure if he is a specialist) but has a lot of experience with TTTTS he doesn't seem to think its TTTTS at the moment but said it does have early signs of it and it can happen every quickly with in a week so now I am having 2 scans a week for a while. Now I am really hung for the 25 weeks mark, He also told me if it does settle down then I have to fly to brisbane to have lazer surgery to seperate the placentas but hopefully it wont come to that. Other then that the boys are so energetic bopping around in there its so cute my tummy looks like a something from alien when they are kicking around.

Jen what a great story that is amazing oh Congrats on the BOYS

    Take care of yourselves xxxxx

    Hi evryone,

Just popping in quickly to touch base.

Azza hope your scans are going ok - any further devlopments as yet? You are getting close to the magical 25 week mark hope your stress levels aren't through the roof - take care.

AFM- i have my repeat scan on friday. I feel fantastic although i'm a little concerned that i;m still not feeling any movement. I had a couple of flutter earlier in the week. My ob said 20 weeks which is Friday so i'm hoping it will begin soon - i think it would give me alot of reassurrance each day if i could feel them. I know they are there because i'm huge!!!!!

We are out for dinner tonight so i best go and begin getting organised.

    Take care everyone

    xxBella

this might be a silly question but why is 25weeks with twins a magical mark?

    Hi Mr Squidipa,

When i said it i just meant that after 24weeks the babies are alot closer to being able to be delivered and survive. In my case if the smaller bub starts getting into trouble i.e stops growing and not getting enough nutrients from the small part of placenta that he is attached to then the only cure is delivery to fatten him up on the outside - my ob has said as much as they don't like to do that til at least 27 weeks they will do it if they have to after 25.

Obviously not ideal to be delivered at 25 weeks but it is possible if it's absolutly necessary.

Hi Bella I really hope you feel those little movements soon it is a relief to feel them moving around and it is also a relief when you see their little heart beats on the monitor when you have your scans. Have they told you how small the little one is compaired to the other twin? Isn't it funny how things turn out I to am feeling great but if it wasn't for the scans I have I wouldn't know about the sizes and fluid levels. I hope both your bubs are doing fine and your little one catchs up. Yep nearly there 1 week away from 25 weeks hopefully I can relax a little bit. Please keep us posted on your progress

AFM There is not much difference from last week which is a good thing. I have a really achy back I took my DD to her playgroup to day I walked there and back and man my back is really sore I think I will take my car next time Im getting so hugh its not funny.

    Hi everyone,

Azza - sorry to hear your back is giving you grief. Glad to hear not much change from last week, please keep me posted as i'm thinking of you.

AFM - scan went well - twin 2 is still about a week behind his brother but he has grown. Fluid levels are good so if all continues no problems - they are still slightly worried and i will stay on fortnightly scans but all in all i was happy to see he has caught up a bit.

Sorry no more personals - got to go and organise dinner.

Hi Bella it seems we are the only ones in here now, Thats great your scan went well I think there is a week difference between my bubs as well, they normally tell me the weights of them now. I really really hope our bubs just travel on nicely till they are ready to come and there will be no intervention wouldn't that be nice. Take of yourself it really nice to hear how you and the bubs are travelling.

AFM had another scan Yesterday and again nothing much has changed I have to go back next week for 2 more scans then hopefully it will go back to weekly scans they say it will be weekly for the rest of my pregnancy. One of the lovely sonographers I had on tuesday let me see the bigger bub with a 4D scanner she said that I deserve it beacuse of the amount of time I come in she could only get the bigger one as the little one is to low. It was an awesome thing to see it makes it more real he looked just like my DD, he has her nose and mouth I got a bit teary I also got a couple of pics I have been showing everyone. I joined the AMBA last week and they sent all my info to the womens and childrens and the multiple birth co-ordinator called me and sent out a heap of info also times and dates of muliple birth classes and breastfeeding class it is fantastic just letting you know if you haven't joined.

    Hi lovelies

One of my boys is almost a week behind the other one too, but apparently they're both still within the normal range. I can't help but feel worried - especially when you see them mapped onto percentile charts, but, hey, I'm no dr!

I'm getting regular rib kicks now. Not the most comfortable of feelings, but I still think it's amazing.

I'm also really swelling. Over the weekend I had to buy new shoes because my feet wouldn't fit into the ones I was wearing and I had to almost rip my rings off my fingers - so tight! And this morning when I woke up I couldn't fit my feet into my shoes either. Will keep an eye on it.

    Hope you're well!

    Hi Bella, Jen and Azzrenae,
I am stalking you all in this thread and just wanted to say hi, but sort of waiting to join in as it is still 2 weeks today until I have my next scan, will be 12w5d, and as it is such an important scan, I sort of don't want to do too much or jinx myself until we know with more certainty that both bubs are ok, I hope this makes sense.

Hopefully will be back in here in a few weeks. xx

Hi Rhyb, of course, welcome, I have just invited myself in too , congratulations on your triplets. My SIL just recently had naturally concieved triplets, she delivered at 34 weeks, three boys, all a great size/weight, between 2 and 2.5kgs, and all doing well. How exciting for you, I hope you have a good a pregnancy and birth as she did.

Gosh you will have your hands full, but I can imagin how excited you must be. I am still early days but already getting into the swing of things and really looking forward to my coming scan, but nervous the same.

I hope you are feeling well, have you had extra bad morning sickness with the three?
    xx

    Hi ladies,

I konw how you feel BDT you just want to make it to the 12 weeks mark and you don't want to get to excited as it is classed a high risk pregnancy I am 24w2d and I still worry I dont think it ever goes away Im hunging for the 25wks mark and then it will proberly be 30wks mark How are you feeling not to tired I hope. I hope you next 2 wks will go fast for you.

Whaoo Jen you are coming along nicely I think you are then next EDD sorry to hear about the swelling I heard it hurts sometimes just to walk???? How many scans do you have now?

Rhyb of course you can jump in here it would be great to here about your triplet journey. That is amazing 3 beautiful bubs, are they your first? Please tell us you story. I think some of us are IVF and some natural. How are you feeling I see your 16wks I think I started feeling those little bubble feelings by then how about you.

I have another scan tomorrow morning and and then my OB appt straight after so a busy morning for us. Hopefully nothing much has changed from Friday except both of them growing nicely.

My story isnt very exciting. I had split from my then 9 month old sons father and silly me tried a new casual relationship that didnt work out and I ended up pregnant with 3. Im now a single mum again and just going day to day with my pregnancy. I havent felt them move yet but DS is 14 months and so full on I dont get 5 mins to sit anymore.

Welcome rhyb! Wow - triplets. Congratulations!

BDT - welcome to this thread. I know you from the other one of course, but it's lovely in here too.

Not as busy perhaps Lots of babydust to you. I remember those early days of compulsive knicker checking!

Hey Bella and Azz - hope you're both good.

So, my question is about a low lying placenta. At my scan last week, they saw that my placenta is still low. The report doesn't actually say 'placenta praevia' - just 'placenta still low'.

Anyone have the same?? Do you know what I might expect? I've done a bit of reading, and know that bleeding is a high possibility, but treatment seems to vary from none to full bedrest!

Hi Rhyb I hope you have a heap of family surport around you there will come a time when you can't run after you DS and you will defiantly need a hand Im finding it hard now just trying to keep up with my DD she is 22 mths. I hope everything runs nice and smooth for you during and after you pregnancy.

Jenc I haven't got that problem but know a little bit about it I think it all depends on if the placenta is covering the cervix, its more common with twins cause there is more of it. Like you said I tink the only treatment is bed rest at home or hospital, if you do start to bleed depending on how much blood you lose you may need a blood transfution and a caesarean secton. If your OB isn't to worried about it yet they might just check it again at your next ultrasound. Keep us posted.

Hi Bella, and BDT hope everything is going well for you both.

AFM I had my scan Yesterday and the babies have started to stablise themselves I was so happy to hear that. Their bladders are a nice size and the little one has abit more fluid in his sac. They decided to do a internal to check my cervix and its short meaning I could go into labour anytime arrrrrh so I am on bedrest now not allowed to do anything even standing for to long is out due to the pressure of the bubs. I have to sit or lie down. If I don't then they will put me in hospital which is not what I want I would go crazy. My OB said that I have to get past 26 wks she will be happy but if I reach 32 wks she will be over the moon and so would I also natural birth is out of the question to now. If its not one thing it another but I am glad we have great doctor around tokeep an eye o things. Its only been a day and I have cheated already I stared to clean the house and then put the washing on I will sit down for the rest of the day now that my DH is home to look after DD. My mum is flying down from the gold coast to help me with DD which is great Im lucky she doesn't work.

    Hi lovely ladies,

Azza - glad to hear everything seems to be going well with the twins but bummer about your cervix shortening . You make sure you stick to your bedrest - no cleaning or hanging out the washing i won't tell this time though .

Jen - i don't know to much about it other than what azza said. take care and try to stay off your feet as well - god this forum may just take off again with everyone on bed rest

Ryhb - my god natural triplets! You need to start resting up as much as you can as well!

AFM - have decided to cut work short by a week and half. I'm getting to tired and the demands of my job are just to much. Running around pushing trolley's bending not eating stressed not drinking enough - it's just no good. So i will work this sat/sun/mon/tue then thats it . As one of my boys is lying very low i get a lot of pelvic pressure and cramping after my shifts and i'm trying to prevent joining all of you on bed rest!! I feel great now that i have the end in sight. I paid my layby today so all the furniture should arrive next week yay. Anyway dinner calls.

    Take care ladies.

I'm on bedrest now too!!! I'm actually in hosp at the moment - started having contractions yesterday! So have to stay off feet and make sure these little ones stay put.

Azz, what is your cervix length? I had a scan here at the hosp today and said that mine was a 'bit short' too, and indicated delivery at prob 34 weeks (which is still a fair way off thankfully).

    Hi everyone else.
