Well i never really had any signs i had bad braxton hick for ages. But i wasnt very lucky as i was induced at 36 weeks as i was told hannah was 3 pound which we later found out wasnt true she ended up being 4 pound 9 oz .... i wish i could have gone into labor on my own but wasnt that lucky... But with twins im guessing it would be very hard to tell between what pains your feeling as carrying twins is very hard and the ampunt of pressure youd be feeling would be so painful. And i saw you were having a bad day today well try and keep your chin up sweeetie your carrying twins which means double the emotion when you have a bad day.... I will tell you a story that will make you laugh when i was about 30 weeks pregnant i stubbed my toe it hurt so much but instead of sayin ouch and walking away i sat there and cried and cried and cried lie id just lost my toe hahaha my partner sat there laughing at me while i was a mess its so funny now but i can understand where your coming from and its hard. It is hard to smile cause your body is going through alot at the moment.

Thanks twinsmummy31! I too have had really strong braxton hicks for ages. Today I am 35wks My belly seems to be extra low and the pressure is incredible...today maybe??? My back is aching too. I sure know what you mean about those hormones! And not getting much sleep due to being so uncomfortable and needing to pee every hr doesnt help much either. Thanks for your kind inspiring words.

I promise I will keep u informed. I go to Dr tomorrow morning for my check up..heres hoping we are showing progress!!! Just another quick question, if you dont mind...How long were you and the bubs in hospital for? Did they have to stay in NICU? Did you breastfeed? Sorry, that was more than one question. By the way, I remember being induced with my first child..it was brutal, you poor thing. Worth it when you see what you have though!

    Hi Kim,

Good luck tomorrow. Sorry to butt in on your questions, I had c-section at 34wks5days (something to do with blood flow in one of the cords) Boys were in special care 5 days and we were out of hospital on the
6th day. I formula feed from birth. I hope you dont mind me answering. All the best.

I stayed in hospital for 5 days after the twins were born. I breastfeed for 10 days then it got to much. And a bit painful. The twins were in the special care nursery for 10 days as they were only a lil underweight and had no other problems. Both got 10 on there apgar test. Formula feeding the twins was alot easier on everyone but in the end its your choice and only you can choose what suit you best. hope all went well with the dr today... big hugs

Just saw your thread for the first time Kim. Way to go on making it to 35 weeks!! Good job Mummy! Hang in there - not long to go now! I hope you get news of some progress at your appt tomorrow.

Make sure you come back and post your birth story - I'm keen to read other twin mum's birth stories before I get there myself!

Thanks Leanne. The more people share the better I believe. What weight were the boys born? Great stuff having such a short stay in hospital. Dr suggested a few days in hospital for me now to rest..I cried. I cant, my girls will miss me enough when I go in to have the bubs anyway. Hanging in by a thread emotionally at the moment. It wont be long is what I keep reminding myself. It will be all worth it.
Thanks Sarah. Did you travel to and from the hospital daily when you went home and the bubs stayed in? I had some probs feeding both my girls..I am very dubious about how I will manage breastfeeding 2! I will try atleast so they can get the anti bodies in the colustrum they need but I will play it by ear. Whatever I feel works is what I will do. The boys head is still only partially engaged I have to have an internal nxt wk to check my cervix etc. I have heaps of swelling and very low BP (better than high though - except when I bleed during delivery, apparently - can be dangerous )

Hi Eleanor. Congrats on your pregnancy!!! I will definitely be sharing my experience with you. So many people have helped me get this far with their inspiring stories and understanding words. It all helps but one thing I know for sure...everyone has a different experience. Heres hoping I can share my own with you very soon. Take care. Kim

    Hi Kim,

The boys weight - Jordan was 5 pound 10 oz and Xavier was 4 pound 12 oz. I had a steriod injection 2 days before c-section just to give them a boost. I am very excited for you and Hope all goes well. You dont have long to go now be strong you can do it.

Thanks Leanne. Good weights! Dr guesses boy is about 5 n half to 6 and girl about 5 to 5 n half. I had a series of steroid injections at 26wks. I was told that bubs have to stay in hospital till they are 5 n half pound?. Did the nurses hassle you about breastfeeding much? They did with my other 2.
I know for sure that I will have 2 bubs by 11th Feb, nomatter what as this is full term. Only 20 days at the most!! I really appreciate your encouraging words. Thanks again. Chat soon.

    Kim,

No actually when I had the boys they did not say anything to me about no breastfeeding. However when I had DD I Formula fed her as well and there was a couple of nurses that looked down on me and It did bother me somewhat but at the end of the day I know that there is nothing wrong with formula feeding as the my boys are perfectly normal and very intelligent and healthy. BF and FF is a personal choice.

    Leanne,
I totally agree. Both of my girls are fine. I feel more confident with bottle feeding because at least you can monitor how much they are getting in a feed. I suffered with mastitus and my last girl managed to deform a portion of my nipple - painful I cant say I enjoyed the whole BF experience either time so I will stick to my guns and go with my gut feeling. Ta for the advice.

Thanks again for your interest guys. I am 36wks 3days by u/s dates or 37wks tomorrow by my dates (whose counting huh) It is both unbelievable and unbearable to me at the moment. I need a new back, actually a new body that doesn't ache and swell constantly would be great! 11 days to go at the most now I see my specialist today..having internal, maybe that might stir things up a little and trigger the labour process Heres hoping. I will keep you informed. Take care all. Love Kim.
