Well operation arms out is a success!

The only thing I had to change was attaching the dummy with a dummy clip to the front of the grobag....he still woke for a while last night, but it was a normal one if you know what I mean, and he settled faster than the night before, and then when he stirred the next time he re-settled.

He slept arms out yesterday arvo too with no issues (woke after 45min with a poo which was a bummer).

This morning woke after 45min (which for him is 1 cycle), but re-settled for another hour and a half..and has noe been asleep for an hour.

    I'm stoked!

We have 2 teeth here, but not BFing...sorry!

Better go...thunder storm on the way...

Whew, funny how time gets away from you. I'm too busy but what can you do?

Lila is getting up on hands and feet, or more often, hands and toes. Lots of downward dog action which is just adorable. Went for her first swim the other day at the IL's, didn't care for it at all. Four teeth, possibly one more coming through. Eating heaps of food, I think she's trying to self-wean. Or getting there. She doesn't have milk if she's away from me these days, is just fine on cereal and fruit/veg. We had a breast refusal issue last week, she wouldn't take me for two days and I felt so lost and rejected and awful. Its back to normal now, she keeps biting me no matter what I do. All that is to say that the breastfeeding is once again becoming a bit difficult.

I've been working heaps and trying to keep a handle on the house and trying to help dh who is still having anxiety stuff going on. We'll get there. I'm feeling ok, just tired of being a little fat and slubby so have been working out again. Its good.

I'm going through the old thread to catch up on everyone, missed you guys so much and am glad to be back.

Steph - Glad to hear that you are ok. I've been thinking about you lately and wondering how you were going. This thread seems to have really died, so I don't really check it much and have not posted in ages. Lila sounds like she is doing well. Sorry that breastfeeding is starting to be problematic again. Who can work out these little ones huh? Babies do tend to go through stages with the whole refusal thing. I hope things sort themselves out soon for you both.

Babywrangler - Glad that the unwrapping is going well. Well done on the teeth too!

MagicSeahorse - Yay on the teeth!! I think Jack is about to push the bottom two through but has not yet, so no practical advise from me about BF'ing with teeth. The ABA website has a whole section on it though so that might be worth a look.

Nettie - Sounds like Liam is doing really well. Bet he is up and cruising by now!

Beatrix - Sounds like you have teeth all over the place!

Shoegal - Sorry to hear about your health problems. I hope that things are sorted for you soon. How has Baxter been? Bet he is a big boy by now!

Fire - Hope you are going ok. How is the sleep going at your place now?

Big hello to everyone that I've missed. Hope you are well.

Us - Jack is doing amazing on every front except sleep! He has been crawling since two days before 6 months, and is now climbing and cruising the furniture. He's saying 'mum' now when he wants me, not just as a sound. It's so cute!! On the down side he is still waking up about every 2 hours overnight. Oh well. We are doing our best to survive, not much else we can do as I am NOT willing to go to sleep school or do controlled crying.

Hi girls! Good to see someone is still out there. I check thru everyday, and nothing ever happens.
Hunter still has only 2 teeth, but has been so grizzly that we think more ane not far away. He hasn't been getting me up every hour at night like he was thank heavens, but he's still very restless. A tip for those teething or yet to teeth, Celery makes GREAT rusks! and much cheeper too. Hunter just LOVES it. It's not as hard as a rusk, so it doesn't hurd his tender gums, and has a bit more flavour too. We tried carrot sticks tonight, but not as sucsessful. abit too hard. A great way to get bubs liking veg!

We have found that Hunter can roll over. He just chooses not to. Even his physio says he's a lazy baby. He knows that if he carries on like a porkchop, someone will come and get him the toy he's after. Why bother rolling and getting it your self???!!! (Sound familiar?) I'm happy to say that Monday I left him on his play mat and went to do the dishes. After a while he started to sound kind of unhappy... not crying...just sort of "Hello?...um... little help....?" I went into the lounge to find him on his tummy. So he can do it. Just can't be bothered. Yes I know all you babies have been doing that for ages, but I did say that Hunter was behind.

Shoegal? you still out there hon? You ok??

BW, all still going well in "Operation Unwrapping"?? I've found that hunter wont sleep properly unless he has both his sleeping bag and a blanket over him. I tried to leave the blankets off nowthat the weather is warmer, but he wasn't having a bar of it. yay. little bugger

Not doing personals for everyone. Sorry. I hope every one is well and bubs are behaving.

    Hi all

Ive been MIA too...partly CBF, and partly cause my world has expolded of late!

Mum had an accident and broke her leg, so Benjamin and I were in Geelong looking after her. Then we came back, and the next day DH ran out of fuel on his motorbike on the freeway, so we had an emergency dash out to fix that (he's been monitoring how many k's per tank he gets, and its been 300 constantly for 8 weeks...then he ran out at 260...go figure...

Then Tuesday night my sister finally came home from the UK...and of course we went to surpise her at the airport, but for the first time ever, Benjamin didn't do what I had hoped (which was go down to bed as usual t 6pm, and we'd wake him at 8:30 to go to the airport....nope....teeth got the better of him and he wouldn't settle).

So we trot off to the airport to meet the plane (due in at 9:40), which was delayed til 10:20....then, as the plane landed...the airport lost power (someone had cut through a major cable..as you do).

So not only were we in darkness...they couldn't process passports or put people through customs.

FINALLY at 12:25 Auntie Namm appeared through the cutoms doors (minus the luggage, which arrived 10pm wednesday night by courier).

And all the while, my little man was hanging about in his baby bjorn enjoying the world in general...lots of cuddles and tears (well, from my sis and me anyway, Bj was happy as Larry) later, we sat with mum (in her wheelchair), Dad and DH for a chat.

Then it was home to bed (we got home at 1am and Benjamin was asleep at 1:30, til 8am, then it was in the car and off to Geelong for the day with Auntie Namm (Deanne).

Today was meant to be a smooth one, big sleep in the morning, out to harvey norman to make a photo book for Auntie Namm for Christmas, then home for big arvo sleep, off to my old work for the Christmas picnic then home to bed....but NOOOOOOO.

We get to harvey norman and mu NEW usb stick was corrupt....come home, burn the pics to cd, back to HN, load the pics...get halfway through the book...machine crashed...start again...same thing happens...change machines and 3 hours later we leave Hardly Normal with the promise that the book will be ready before Deanne goes back in 3 weeks....
THEN it was off to the picnic...make an appearance, hand BJ round to everyone who wanted to cuddle him, then home for tea and bed...and now, he's sound asleep!

What a week so far, and its not even Christmas!!!!

Bugger me BW!! I agree with Fire! Hope you are getting sleep and rest etc while I'm typing this.
Not sure about this "Facebook" thing. How safe is it? I've never been on. Do I sound like a dork just by saying that?

Welcome tannedangel, I'm afraid we are a bit slack in this thread, but we post in fits and starts.

    Tell us about yourself!

I have a DS born April 9. His most favourite thing ATM is to climb, it does my head in! I found him standing on the kitchen table the other day....

Anyhoo, we are a friendly bunch but hopefully you have started things up for us all again.

Hey there! Welcome (back? Do I remember your username??).

As Seq said, we're a bit spazmodic with our posts... I think we're all just cruising along now and there aren't too many issues so we don't think to get too much support in here like we used to as new Mummies..

My little man is teething constantly (has 6 teeth - 4 top, 2 bottom) so can get a bit whingy from that, otherwise he's a happy little guy who's just doing his thang...

Oh Nettie, we've just had the worst fortnight with DS. He has almost a full mouth of teeth, heaps of molars. Finally started to sleep through again about 4 nights ago.

We're getting ready to move into our new house! It's a beautiful 4 x 2 that DH and I designed, oh gosh, I can't wait!
