Will check back soon...cling on is here. I need to give her a bottle soon so she can go to bed.....

    Hi!

Melissa - Sorry to hear that Olivia is so sick...maybe get her to the dr tomorrow if she's no better...I would focus mainly on getting water into her so she doesn't dehydrate...thats always the most important...poor littlle thing...

Jen - They're certainly going to start testing our patience thats for sure. Dylan was feral all afernoon...happy one second, crying the next...he's so grumpy at the moment...

Hey, well spoke too soon. Chuck everywhere. i think I have done that many loads of washing in the past few days. Anyway we went to the gp to have it confirmed that its gastro and nothing else. So we have to keep her off the milk for a few days. He said just to give her water and icypoles and nothing else, but i think the poor kid will starve. Shes had cruskit for dinner, alsong with peas and corn and a bite of steak. Do you think thats ok or should I just give her fluids??? She seems hungry. And what am i going to give her for her night bottle??? Geez, I am so hooked up on routine, I dont know what do do when i have to not do it!!!! I might give her watered down fruit juice. See how she goes. And I cant take her to day care for 2 days after shes stopped chucking, so looks like I wont be working this week....not too fussed with that!!!

Hope you girls are all doing fine.....

    Hi All,
Gosh I have a screamer on my hands here lately, is anyone elses bubs really screaming ALL THE TIME? I am saying "Stop" when he is doing it because he wants something, but apart from that i would be saying it all day! I am trying not to use 'NO' as it sounds too much like "Beau" and I dont want him accociating IYKWIM? Apart from the screaming, he is pretty good, he is such a little agro some times and then so sweet the next! Jekyll and Hide! Sounds like Dylan too Kris.
Ok better go and put him to bed, hope everyone is having a scream free evening.

    Hi!

Mel - Aww poor Olivia...umm some food alternatives...what about mashed potato, toast or plain bikkies?? Always good when you have a sensitive tummy I find! Definitely keep up the fluids but if she'll eat a bit of plain food I'm sure that would be ok as well..I hope she's better soon!

Jen - Hope Beau gets past his screaming soon! I must say, I find that a lot of Dylans crying and feralness is when he's bored/hungry. He's really quite good when we're out and about and kept busy...until we have to leave anyway and then there's a bit of a tantrum but just for a minute! LOL!

Speaking of which today was huge - Dylan had gymbaroo in the morning and then we had 45min to eat lunch and get ready for swimming and they both had their lesson. They're both doing really well which is nice...so basically meant leaving at just after 9am this morning and not getting home properly until 3.30pm!! Then dh cracked it with me this arvo (for absolutely no good reason) so went and sulked and left me with dinner and bathing the kids...Honestly sometimes I feel like I have 3 children!! I'm not letting him bother me though as I can't be bothered with it to be honest...If he's going to act like a 3yo then he can but he's not bringing me down with him!!!

Ok - sorry for the vent - LOL! Hope you have a good sleeps! Dylan kept waking last night and it took me over an hour before I worked out he'd pooed his nappy - poor little bugger...

    Hey,

that made me laugh kristie about having 3 children. DH is starting to get gastro now and its not pretty when hes sick, so its 2 babies I have to look after. Your day sounded very busy.
Well the watered down juice didnt go far-except to be spat out on her pj's. So I cheated and gave her a bit of milk and put heaps of water in it. I know i shouldnt have, I just have this thing about the last bottle of the night. I can deal with day bottles of milk. Well if she chucks again, its my fault this time.

Got to get her to bed.....chat soon

well i survived a horrid night last night, with dh getting gastro and Olivia waking at 2 am and not settling and then me taking her for a drive at 4 to get her to sleep with no luck, I ended up sleeping on her bedroom floor with her next to me. I forgot how uncomfy floors are...especially now i am older!!!! She screamed again for her arvo nap, but eventually went down so I got some sleep. I gave her a 1/4 milk and 3/4 water mix today and shes been fine so far. So I think I'll do it again tonight and then increase tomorrow. I hate gastro. This time last year she got it bad too..must be a may thing, but I knew who she got it from last year...this year i cant pin point it. Oh well as long as I dont get it. I think thats whay mother nature has made us so strong...to look after our partners and offspring!!!!
Better go shes in the cupboards!

    Hi girls,

Well, everyone sounds like they're having a bit of a hard time at the mo. We're still struggling with sleep.
I'm up at least 2 times a night, up to 5. There was one night she only woke once so that was good to catch up a little. DH is helping, but Lil is being clingy and wants me, so it's easier for me to get up in the night and him get up in the morning.
Last night was a bad night, up 5 times. I'm buggered, I just want more than 3hours sleep straight! As well as being up to pee or get a drink or just being uncomfortable and unable to sleep...last night I was awake for 2 hours before I went to sleep on the lounge and it still took me at least 30mins to get back to sleep. Then Lil was up at 6am, though DH took her then and I got to sleep a bit longer. But she knows I'm in the room if the door is closed and she knocks and calls 'mumumumummmm!!!' so not a sleep in really!
I'm going to work tomorrow though so DH will take her all night. He even offered to sleep on the lounge and I could shut the door so I could sleep better. How sweet, though I declined, I can't turn him out of his own bed . And though it will be great to get a better night's sleep, I really don't want to go to work.
I went to the counsellor the other day. She told me that I'm most likely not to the point of depression. I have some mummy issues that most mums have and sleep deprevation apparently. Though most mums arent in tears almost everyday...I felt a bit (scoffed at/brushed off)? by her, for want of better words. She said she tought I had the resources to deal with it and I'd probably be ok when I get better sleep. Then told me to call her if I felt I needed her, as if I'd call her when she made me feel how she did!
Anyway, sorry for the big 'poor me' post. I hope all our bubs get their acts together! And that tomorrow is a great day for us all!
    Hugs to all

    Hi!

I hope you don't get it either Melissa - I had gastro when I was about 6m p/g with Dylan and it was the most horrible thing I've ever had!! Hope Olivia's starting to feel better and up to eating tomorrow.

Kel - Sorry to hear your still not getting much sleep - I would take dh up on his offer if I was you!!! You won't get that opportunity all the time!
Hmmm - doesn't sound like the best counsellor that you saw...if you feel like that afterwards...maybe worth seeing someone else...

We're ok - I had a great night out talking with Pinky McKay with other ladies at a gymbaroo event thing. Was really nice...
Dylans still throwing tantrums and he has now made himself pass out twice in the last week so we'll be off to the dr tomorrow or Friday. I've heard other people say it's common but I'm still worried. He literally has his wind up and then just goes all limp - the other night he was walking though and ended up falling over and banging his head on the floor...then he goes all dopey for a minute and then after another minute you wouldn't even know anything had ever happened...poor little man...so need to get on top of it though...

I better get some sleep as well - I'm wrecked! Chat later!

    Hey,

we had a better night last night. I am thinking the bug has left the building. Yay. I am up coz dh is off to work and i cant go back to sleep. At least he brought in the lap top and a cup of coffee Today we get our new king size bed delivered, hopefully, so it will be the last time I wake up in the dip in the middle of the bed.

Kel, i am sorry to hear that the women you saw wasnt for you. Its hard to find someone you feel right with. Just putting my psych nurse hat on.... they have a gp funded councilling service avaialble here in melbourne...i think it would be the same where you are. i think ask your gp for a referral to see someone else. If you have private health insurance, you could again request it through your gp and source out someone you get a good feeling off. I'll try and think of some more things...sorry not much help. Been out of the loop too long. Good luck. I hope you got some sleep last night. And how long hae you got left at work???? Wouldnt be too much longer..

Kristie. DH cousins daughter is doing the same thing at the moment. When she gets upset or worked up, she just faints/goes limp. They took her to the hospital, she had a slightly raised bp, but nothing else and they put it down to a response to pain. She did it again recently so they are taking her to the gp for some more tests. i hope you find out what it is. Wow youre a busy chick. Gymbaroo with Pinky Mackay. I would like to be that busy...I'm just lazy.

Hello Jen- hows things going with B? Its his b'day soon. Hope you guys are well.

    Ok- coffee is getting cold
    Have a good day

    Hiya!
Wow been trying all day to find somewhere to make a cake for Beau! I was going to do it but have piked out/ran out of time and with mothers day too....nightmare! I am getting a posh gluten/wheat/yeast free job with a rasberry ganache number one! Ha ha he is one not 50! Hilarious! Oh well....
Kel - You poor thing with that woman! Its so sad when they are supposed to 'help' - as if you would want to talk to her again! DH sounds like he is trying to help you out a bit more by the sounds? It would be great if he could help you to get a few solid nights under your belt then see how you feel?
Mel - Glad to hear Olivia and DH are on the mend and have gotten rid of the gastro - at least you will only have one baby now! LOL!
Kris - Wow that is worrying with Dylans little spells, Little lamb gets so worked up! It must be very frightening for you when it happens. Let us know what the doc says when you get some answers.
Us - Beau has had two half hour (if that) sleeps today, have had a friend over today and she has been telling me SATC style tales of single life...ahh the memories! Wouldnt trade now for anything tho....apparently getting close to an offer on our house so fingers crossed....Beau had a bit of a crying tantie at a cafe this morning for a water jug which was his first real one in public! Eeks!
Ok better go and bath the munchkin,
Sleep dust for the wakeful babies....
