Hi girls! Enjoyed another five days at home with Ben, but am now back at work. Maximum of five weeks left though (still have over two weeks of sick leave so I'm hoping to get a drs cert for the last two!!!), so it's not too bad.

Oh Jen, how did you know I've been wanting wine? I've decided to wait until Chrissy celebrations and have half a glass at those functions. We went out for our anniversary last Friday (sad to say it's the first time DH and I have been out to dinner alone since Ben was born!!!!) and I really wanted a glass, but there are still some developmental things going on with Twobob so I don't want to risk it.
Want us to keep our fingers crossed for you for the next two weeks?

Kris, did you have a good time at the wedding? Get any sleep? Is Dylan still waking or was it just a one-night thing? We figured that Ben's problem wasn't teething (all four eye teeth are now through!) it was separation anxiety and going to the in-laws rather than my mum's. He's still a bit sooky with me at the moment, wanting 'mamma' all the time, but he's a bit better - and sleeping through again!

Kel, Friday would have been lovely out at the gardens. We were supposed to have had Ben's first birthday party there, but the weather didn't co-operate. It's funny (or not) I was just finishing telling DH how Lil is such a little monkey climbing on everything and how Ben doesn't seem that interested in climbing....and he climbed up on the washing detergent box! Talk about jinxing myself!!!!

Kaz, glad you got some good pics from CC. I SO need to buy a little squirt. I was going to buy one from BBH a few weeks ago but they were sold out. Keep meaning to go to Mothers' Direct and order one but never get around to it. Do they save heaps of hassle?
You're so lucky with the fruit. Ben's allergic to my favourite fruits! Strawberries and mangoes are out and I've been told that Kiwi and Pineapple are somehow related to them so not to try them on him for another year He likes apples, oranges, bananas and apricots though so all is not lost.

Mel, hahaha, cheeky girl indeed!!! If anybody comes up with a way to keep them out of the dogs water bowl, please let me know! Drives me nuts!

Von, hope James is doing better. We've only had the vomitting when Ben's eaten something he's been allergic too and it's just horrible. They're too little to understand what's happening and they look at you with those 'help me mummy' eyes Hopefully all is well now.

We've had a good couple of days. After a horror run with night-wakings, he finally settled on Saturday night which was good because I got a migraine and DH was out at his soccer presentation (Yay, yet ANOTHER Best and Fairest trophy to gather dust ) He didn't go to bed until late, but slept right through. Then last night he had another good night, back to sleeping for 10 hours - phew! We're really thinking it was just separation anxiety because we messed with his routine and he was with unfamiliar carers. All good now though as mum and dad are back. He missed his Nannan and Pop so much! They got the biggest kisses and cuddles when he saw them for the first time You would have thought they'd been away for a year.

It's HOT here today. The building's ac is shot, but luckily I have a little fan on. Otherwise I'd be storming off talking about unsafe workplaces They are a bit scared I'm going to call in sick for the entire next five weeks and leave them all up in the air - they would probably let me go home today if it meant I'll be back
