    Hi Everyone!

Arimeh - Mwah! back at ya!

Squidipa - Poor Joshie. Nasty immunisations! using breast pads in the loo!

Pixie - We got a bumbo seat too the other week. A green one! Jett loves it. Much prefers to sit up than lie down and it is good that I no longer have to hold him. I can just leave him to play while I get dressed/have breakfast/have shower/put washing on etc!

Leash - Glad your Mum could come and spend time with you while Shel is away. Hope Jazz is good for you!

We had our four month health check today so Jett got weighed! yay! He is now a whopping 5.7kgs and has put 700gms on in the last 4 weeks, since I got the shock of him only putting 60gms on in the previous 4 weeks! In the last 2 weeks he has put 400gms on in the last 2 weeks alone! He is now 63.5cm long (up 4.5cm in the last 4 weeks) and head circ is 40.5cm (up 1.2cm in the last 4 weeks). Looking at the charts he is still small in weight (I think she said 10th percentile) and HC but is average now in length! Woot! Looks like Jett has been putting all his energy in to growing tall rather than putting the weight on!

Also did an infant resuscitation course this arvo. Not certified or anything, but the same technique taught by those courses that are and all for the bargain price of $20. I'd rather know it and not need it, than need it and not know it! Also covered a few other first aid things particularly for infants and children (but adults were covered too) such as burns and choking, and a couple of other basics. Was really good.

I have also managed to finally upload some more photos to my gallery if you want to take a look here.

ETA: MM you posted while I was writing!! about your ticker looking like Veygas. It's so true!! It's the hair and the smile!

MT- Thats such a good idea to do the course I always think how bad I'd feel if I couldn't help either one of my kids if they were lying unconcious not breathing

squidipa- gggrrrr for the lady being rough! and what snobs asking your 3 year old to stop playing with the toy

Leash- hugs to you and shel

Aww hugs Kel! Don't men realise that a woman's sex drive is low after having a baby for a reason? Our bodies don't want us to breed again in a hurry so we look after our babies, and also to not put too much stress on our bodies so we die of exhaustion before we've had more babies.... hmmm makes us sound like we are meant to be baby making machines and nothing else!!

MT - cute pics! my MG is going to do one of those courses next friday... definitely a good idea. for Jett's growth.
Squidipa!!!!! Congratulations on Josiah's big gains! That's great news, you should give yourself a huge pat on the back.

    Hi everyone!!

Been flat out last two days, lots of work, I've actually done 13 hours in the past two days, plus some on Sunday night, so I reckon I will have a few extra hours up me sleeve before christmas which is great

Yoga last night and mothers group this afternoon, I got home at 12, threw together some wraps (I grilled marinated chicken - Terryaki Style), with cucumber and a yogurt with fresh mint, cut them in half (they were small wraps) and held them together with a tooth pick Lucky I took them as everyone else took sweets!! Wasn't planned so well this week!!

Jett!! That is fantastic!! Great piccies too!!

Congrats Squidipa on the BF'ing for as long as you have, so are you stopping now, or going to keep going? Yay on the growth for Joshie and goodluck at the weighin tomorrow!

We are weighing tomorrow wonder how we are going

MM, jeez it must be hard house hunting with all the kids!! V looks soo cute!

Hugs Kel for velcro bub!! And grr at DH, it take 9 months to grow a baby, surely there needs to be a reasonable length of time for recovery!

Pixie, they are all sooo different! Hugs!!

MT you know where I have been!! Hehe!!

Oh yeah I updated my blog a bit yesterday afternoon if you want a look

    MWAH!! Mel!!!

I have to go as we have a veiwing of DH's latest animation at a cinema in town and we are going out for dinner afterwards then to see the latest Bond

    Have an awesome night!!

I had to wipe all of him down i had just picked him up and there it was startinng to come out.

kel84 i am sorry the girls have been full on and hubbie is so exited that he is becomeing insensitive. BIG HUGS its alwas frustrating when your partners sex drive is different to yours hey i am lucky me and hubbies are the same.

Kiwiw girl ... no i dont have face book its just a personal choice IYKWIM nothoing against it but rather not be that easily contactable or found. i did take a looka t your clips and theya re great did u take them on ur digital camera????

...where jumping on the bed is mandatory!

MT: i keep thinking i should do an infant resuscitation course but just havent got round to it, im going to sort it out this week and see if there is one in my area, so thanks for the motivation so cute about him being ticklish!!

Squidipa: sorry to hear about the injections, grace was ment to have hers today but i put it off...know i have to get it dont but didnt want to! silly. wow about joshies growth!!

Grace seems to want to skip her morning and late afternoon sleeps, but seems quite happy to be awake for 5 hours at a time! just have to find ways of entertaining her! any ideas/tips....what do you all do with your little ones to avoid boredom? been having fun in the pool today, she really loves the water!

Hello to everyone...im off to bed, too tired!

Bec - No probs about the motivation! I am usually the same, too many other things distracting me. I hope you find a course in your area. The best way to entertain Jett is to take him out. He always puts his angel face on when we go out. I mix it up a bit by sometimes putting him in the sling and sometimes the pram. But if we have to stay at home and he needs entertaining I sing, and do finger plays/rhymes, read books, put him in his seats (bumbo, bouncer and swing) or on the rugs and play with his toys. At the first signs of tiredness I just put him somewhere comfortable and let him drift off to sleep in his own time. Seems to work, but if I don't catch him at that first sign of tiredness he just loses it if I keep playing with him. That is when he gets a shower and a cuddle and booby feed to calm him back down. It is difficult to entertain them at this age, but I just try to remember that their attention span is very short so I don't stick to one activity for too long if he looks like he is getting fidgety. Takes up a lot of time to do all the entertaining though!

Squidipa - WOOT on the weight and growth gain! Awesome Joshie!

Vic - I hope your evening was lovely!

to everyone else. I'm off to bed.

what do you all do with your little ones to avoid boredom?
Yesterday I started doing aerobics with Kye and rolling him on the floor from his back to his front 5 times in one direction then 5 times back in the other direction. Did it a few times during the day - took up about 15-20 minutes plus had him out shopping in the morning and then mothers group in the afternoon. Dont know whether it was just a coincidence but he slept from 8pm until 6:30am... 10 and a half hours!!!!

Starting Mums n Bubs Yoga today, looking forward to it.

Brekky time here so gtg...... to everyone!

Beck I would be the same with the motivation but one of the Mothers' Group girls organised it all so I didn't have to do anything! And as for entertaining, I am like MT - sit in the chairs, play with toys, try the playgym, have a play with her on our bed, take her for a walk in the stroller or just over to the park in my arms... go up to the coffee shop and have a coffee while she is in the pram... sometimes she falls asleep on the way so its a nice chance to relax.
Sash - LOL at aerobics with Kye! And I should try to find a mums and bubs yoga class.... so slack! didn't go to the pump class I was planning to go to either this week cause I had a doctors appointment. Next week though!
Vic hope you had a great night - did you like the Bond?
Squiddy I can't believe it but Beth actually helps when you change her nappy.... if you say "undercarriage down" she straightens her legs out ramrod straight so you can put her nappy on. She's such a classic.
She is doing great with the sitting, especially since we got the Bumbo the other day, she is already heaps better at staying upright without it! She has been sleeping really well this week too, I think it is because it has been a pretty huge week for her developmentally.
Here's a pic of her in the Bumbo ... I was joking to the Bear that we can give her a copy of the financial times and she can sit there reading it!

    Morning all

MM - that ticker pic is soooo gorgeous - and yes, a little bit like the character from the ticker.. lol... DH and I pi$$ed ourselves laughing last night at it... hehehehe.. he is SO very gorgeous though.

Vic - happy 5 months for N - I think I forgot to say it before. And gorgeous pics as usual!

Pixie - yay for Beth sitting up, that pic is GORGEOUS - and yay for helping with nappy changing - I have two here that DON'T help.. lol.. especially the toddler - he likes to scream, and kick me with his legs....

Beck - I bet your xmas tree is lovely - we don't have one here. I don't have Miss M up for that long during the day - so I never have to entertain her that much (usually she stares at the tv and talks) but she likes her play gym thing, and talking to her brother or the cats!!! lol

MT - at least one of the kids needs a nappy change before leaving to go anywhere.. we are usually running 5 minutes late ALL the time. I really should do one of those courses too... yay for Jett's weight gain - woohooo!!!!

Leash - Sorry for not getting back to you, I was online cos I never shut BB down - but I'm usually outside doing stuff with DS during the day - or just not AT the computer - so sorry I didn't reply... we had Miss M's check up yesterday (which took me 2 hours at the docs) and her vaccs - so I wasn't actually at home (though DS was - he was with my mum) anyhoo - next week?

Kel - its hard when both kids are crying huh.. Miss M is about to lose it I think, getting close to bedtime for her - and DS wants to go outside and play with the puppy dogs - but can't do that until I hop off the computer, put her to bed and put his shoes on.. oh, and I'd like to get out of my jarmies too.. lol.. oh and def no sex drive here.. lol

Squidipa - yay for Josh's growth - thats fantastic!!!!!!

    Hi Sasha !!!

hello to everyone else.. better go - someone keeps trying to put his shoe on the keyboard of the laptop - think he's trying to give me a hint that he wants to go outside?

Oh and Miss M's latest stats were
    HC ? 40.5
    Weight ? 6.13kg
    Length ? 66cm

And she was very brave with her needles yesterday - was a bit unsettled in the arvo - but was much better after we all took a nice cool bath (it was HOT here yesterday - very sticky).. seems back to normal this morning!!

Well, that only took me an hour but i made a ticker, like i havent got a whole list of other things i should have been doing while she is asleep...oh well!!

Her lack of sleep in the day ment that last night she slept from 6pm to 5am with a quick feed at 3am !! WOW!!how lucky am I !!!

Alisia: i wrap Grace at night, she wriggles out as she is putting her self to sleep but i go in after a few hours and tuck her back in while she is asleep and she sleeps well, if i leave her un-wrapped she wakes up! i wrap her for her early morning sleep but the rest of the day i leave her unwrapped as its too hot, but then she cant settle herself in her cot...tried again yesterday and she got in such a state! ....so she sleeps in her rocker for how ever many day sleeps she has, which is fine while she still fits in the rocker! we will cross that bridge when we have to

Mel:unfortunatley i dont have my licence so would make it hard to meet up unless you were in Noosa at some point , but i am getting over my fear of driving (so stupid, i know) so hope to be on the road some time in the new year.

Looks like another HOT day here and she id due to wake up soon so better on with the day. to all

Story of my life - I do not drive eigher, so pretty much depend on hubby We have to do it! btw we used to live in Mooloolaba before moved Perth, really missing QLD

Have you tried any baby music during day to settle her? I turn on "peacebaby" or any other CD, make a nest from my blanket and 2 pillows on big bed and she settles even without wrap. Girls, who need bub music, I can send it, I 've got fisher price, "disney" lulubas which I could share. Unfortunatelly I can't figure out how to send peacebaby tracks, the CD is probably protected too much lol Drop me te line on alesia@westnet.com.au

wow....what a lucky escape from the truck!! scary!

I just managed to find an hour to start paining a shelf unit a friend made for graces room, set up in the garden in the sun, not a cloud in the sky and did the first coat of paint....an hour later the whole thing is covered in wet paint and huge storm clouds have rolled in...Typical!!!

Had another $hit of a day, couldnt use the pool as there were men with saws trimming trees so spent all afternoon in and out of the shower trying to cool off, she is finally having her first sleep since waking up at 8.30am, been asleep since 2pm! Anyway, shouldnt winge, atleast she is asleep and happy now.
I do try music to settle her but she just wont have it, even try laying down and feeding her on our bed...that used to work when she was tiny and would get upset.

Beema: thats great about her sleeping well!! i always wonder what to do in those situations, do you wake her up when you need to go out or try to change her sleeping times?

(im sure this is a stupid question)we have a few things planned over the xmas period, especially in the evening, her bed time is 6ish, do you do the normal bed time routine and then put her in the car/pram and go out?? or go out and do bath etc when you get home or just straight to bed?? you can tell i dont go out in the evenings very often (ever)!!
