CM - That is fantastic weight gain!
Saffi - glad that the clinic helped, sorry that BF didn't work but you gave it your best shot and that is all we can ask of ourselves.
Ellee - have DD's poos settled down?
Cass - congrats on your studies. I am hoping to go back to uni first semester 2010... I took this year off because I had horrid pregnancy sickness at night when I was supposed to be in classes... I spent more time out in the bathrooms being sick!re meds stopped working. How did you go at the paed?
Misty - sounds busy in your house! Thank you for mentioning the six week unsettled period. I thought I was going slightly insane (am first time mum) but when I read your post I felt very relieved! Makes it easier to get through the day to know that it is somewhat normal!
Larne - congratulations! I am also a first time mum. Watching your bub in pain is the worst... did you see another dr? Is it reflux?
MeganH - hope the infants friend is still doing the trick.
RhiaMaree - DD whinges/crys in her sleep sometimes too... often it is followed by a fart so I have put it down to her getting the wind out.
Salboo - hope you are better and the mastitis has passed.
Koru - I got a bit of cabin fever too... I called up one of the mum friend's I made whilst DD was in SCN and we went out for the day - turns out she had cabin fever too... hope DP being home made all the difference for you
AFM - well we tried to DTD before the checkup (not scheduled for a particular night lol though it does sound like it sometimes!) but it was a fizzer. DD cracked it and needed to be settled - turned out to be a bad bout of wind. Had my 6 week check up on Monday - all is good, I have healed nicely (only had a few grazes anyway) and liver etc is all good. We talked about PE and he confirmed what I knew... that is is common in first pregnancies but may reappear in any subsequent pregnancies and there is no way to say that if it doesn't happen in a 2nd pg it could happen in a 3rd etc. I am at higher risk of GD and need to keep up checks for diabetes with my GP. Other than that all is good. He did an internal which was way uncomfortable but gave me greater faith for DP and I to try DTD again sometime in the future... if I can survive the internal I can survive DTD without too much pain (hopefully!)
What is everyone using for contraception (if you don't mind sharing the info) My Obs has prescribed the mini pill because I can take it whilst breastfeeding... I am not taking it at the moment because we aren't sure that it what we want to use (I have PCOS and in the past the pill hasn't agreed with me, we used Implanon and I know I don't want to use that) for the moment we have just been abstenent but that can't last forever and the PCOS means I can't track my cycles to avoid DTD around ovulation as my cycles are too unpredictable.
Ok DD has just messed so... duty calls! Big hellos to you all and hugs for bubs
