Hey Bec,
Yep, I've used it. I found it to be good, dries up the mucous and lessens the cough because there is no post nasal drip.
Good luck, my heart goes out to you and Maddy, it's awful when babies are sick.
Thanks Tiggy, i have given her Dimetapp, hope it helps her sleep!! I just hate when they have cough and colds. Thank goodness I've had my flu shot, don't know how I'd cope if I got sick. I find that it helps ward off flu and colds. Have a good sleep everyone xoxo
No worries Tiggy, I have the worst baby brain as well, so I totally understood!
How was everyone's nights? We were fine until 3am and then i was up with sick coco until 5.30am when I finally fell asleep and then Tilly woke me up straight away, and that happened continuously until I got up at 7.30am. PRETTY tired this morn!
Hope everyone had better nights than us xoxo
Morning Ladies,
My goodness the older these babies get the less time you have to do things.
Hope everyone is well and is having good sleeps.
Jett would like to thank everyone for his birthday wishes. Meg – Not good about Coco. I gave Jett Demazin Infant when he was 4 months and he had a cold, it worked great (my sister works in a pharmacy and she recommends it for the flu and Dimetapp for coughs).
I loved your web page, I love going to have a look so then I can put a face to the name. Coco should do modelling I am sure she would get heaps of work.
Good news on the sleeping school, you haven’t got long to go. When I got a day that I was going to just kept saying to myself only how ever many days to go. I am thinking of you. Tiggy – Your babies are so precious; hard to believe it has been six months already. Christie – I have copied some of your mixtures, I added rice cereal to Jett’s pears this morning and he loved it, so thanks for sharing that.
I gave him the rice cereal yesterday and he just spat it back at me, not really that funny as I had just gone for a long walk to the supermarket and got it Kate – Go Jasmine, I checked out the pictures of her sitting in her chair, she is so strong. Jett sits by himself on the floor but I have to keep and eye on him and make sure he doesn’t fall; he can’t hold himself up for longer than about 3 minutes.
Where abouts are the videos on Jasmine I don’t think I have seen them?? Sarajo – Loved the new pictures, Abby has such a big smile. Don’t worry after reading about how much the rest of girls are given their bubas I have up Jetts food intake. I have no idea of how much to give him??? Mel – I have never heard of anything like the giraffe that you got Logan what a great idea, who is it made by??
I am sure that you will do what is best by you and Logan, as I said to you it might work out well if he is working away, these absence makes the heart grow fonder. I am not to sure about your history but you do what is right for you.
If anyone of you lovely ladies has any advice I would love to have it. I have only been giving him his 4 bottles and solids at night (veggies, 2 ice cubes). As I said I have no idea of when to up it or what?? Yes, I am clueless. Please help.
My MCHN is so useless.
I hope everyone else is doing well,
Betta go and get dressed
Take Care.
Dani, it's taken me a while to work out what to do re food. I am happy with where we are now. I give her an organic oat cereal I get from woollies (the brand is bellamy) with fruit. For lunch I usually resort to a tin, for variety!! anD dinner is vegies. She really only likes vegies if there's sweet potato included, so i do sweet pot plus pumpkin and or choko, brocolli, zuchinni, carrots. That's it so far. The fruit I give is pear apple and banana. I have uped her to 3 meals a day, but this was after one month. i will start giving yoghurt and cheese at around 7 months. I will start meat then too, and may in the meantime, let her chew on a chop bone.
I give her breast milk before each solids meal (at about 7am, 11am and 4.30pm) and then give a bottle just before bed. I also offer a formula top up after each solids meal (I give solids at roughly 8am, 12 midday and 5pm). The bottle top up is usually half an hour later. She usually only has 20-100mls. So Im down to three breastfeeds a day plus one at night if she wants it (more so now she's sick).
Also a good mix of food is avocado and pear or avo and apple mixed together, she liked that!! Once I start cheese I'll probably do avo, cottage cheese and maybe some apple too. There's lots of good recipes on teh net, and there's a baby and toddler thread on belly belly under recipes.
anyway, enough crapping on from me. Im hoping for a decent night but I know it's not likely, poor coco's nose has run all day and her cough sounds awful.
have a good sleep everyone xoxoxo
