    Hey ladies!

Sorry for being a little quiet this weekend, being doing lots of driving to get the practise in. Had my lesson yesterday lunch, and then we went to the shops both yesterday afternoon and this afternoon as well.

Maddy is going well....won't be long before she's sitting up too (WTG there Jasmine!), she was hilarious today sitting up on her own as she kept falling over to the side and then just lying on the rug and looking at us! hehehe She's fine if she's balanced and likes to play with her toes; but if she leans even the slightest to the side; she's plop on the floor!

She's asleep in her pram having a little snooze (which'll probably mean a LATE night before she goes to bed!) but at least it meant that John & I could eat our chicken curry in peace. The little one has been so clingy lately; so sometimes it's nice to have your own space.

Bought her a new teething ring (a fake chewy set of keys) & set of soft spoons today. She prefers the spoons...*L* She just sits there and knaws on it.

Meg - hope poor little Coco's cold gets better and you all have a good night's sleep! Your plans with solids sound good...will be starting Maddy on the rice cereal for the first time in the next two weeks. Will be looking forward to seeing how the fruit & vegies go down with her.

Dani - how's little Jett going? WOW, he really is going well at sitting up! From what I've read, it's normally 6 months+ in development age that most babies sit up so it sounds like Jett is doing just fine there!

Darnit....all of the other messages are on the first page...will have to read the other posts and edit this post with some more personals!

Tiggy/Tiff - WOW WOW WOW at the birth/early days photos of the twins. They are just amazing and you are doing such a fabulous job with those babies. Thriving doesn't even come close when you look at how far they've come. Ivy & Noah look like they've got delightful little personalities! hehe That ticker photo cracks me up everytime! *LOL*

Sarajo - I don't think you've been skimping on little Abby! She looks wonderful and it's so good to see those photos of her looking all healthy, considering how refluxy she has been since birth. Any more vids of her? I get a real giggle out of the ones that you send me. Plus, when I hear you're accent on the vids, it reminds me of my 'big sis' in Canada who used to send me the cutest vids of her & her little son. I hear you on the money thing...DH and I sat down and worked out how we would go if he gets a much better paid job.

Melly - Much like the other girls, I hope that things work out great for you with regards to Michael. I'm saddened by the way that he has treated you in the past and I believe you deserve so much more than that. You are such a strong woman, and I truly hope that if you do stay together it's because its what YOU want, and not because you feel you should give him another chance. That said, if he has changed than I can understand. I never used to believe that people COULD change, but I've seen it in my sister's man. How will him getting into the arm affect you? P.S - That little giraffe that Logan has sounds so sweet...wouldn't mind getting my hands on one for Maddy.

Christie - Great to hear you had a fantastic nights' sleep on Saturday night? (it might have been Friday). You're certainly giving him an assorted menu there....what a lucky little man! hehe Has he liked everything you've offered to him? WTG little Owen on the sitting up as well. Wow, he'll be running before you know it!

Kate & Jillian, I hope you're both going along fine with your little precious ones! Here's to a great Sunday night sleep for EVERYONE! *prays*

    Hi Girls,

Thanks for all your lovely comments on Ivy and Noah!
I hope you all had a good weekend because I did not.
One of the boys brought home Gastro on Friday and it is currently doing the rounds.
David came home this morning (didn't even make it to work) with it
So it has done two kids and David. It seems to have about a 12hour incubation time, so I am just waiting for the next one to fall.
The really bad thing (and the thing I am stressing out over) is that if the babies get it, we will have to go to hospital.
Being prem, I just won't want to muck around and having done Gastro with the girls when they were babies, I know they dehydrate so quickly.
Please keep us in your thoughts and pray that they don't get it.
I guess the good thing is it only lasts for about 24 - 48 hours...

Bummer Tiggy, i am thinking of you all and hope the little ones don't get the gastro. It is such a damn horrible illness for anyone, let alone little bubba's. i so hope it passes them by. You poor thing, having to look after so many people. I always thought I had it tough looking after myself and tilly when she had gastro. You're amazing, and I so hope no one else in your family picks it up.
We too have illness here, Coco had an awful night and is coughing and nose running continuously. I think I'll have to go to the Doc's although Im not sure what he could do. I just want to check it's not chest infection. I too have been watching for dehydration as she can't drink due to her nose (she has little sips). Not fun. I have just given her a sippy cup for the first time, so hoping maybe that will get some liquid into her. Saying that, she has not gone off solids!! Little piggy, eating as much as ever.
Hope everyone else is doing well and had good sleeps!!
Beck, good on you with your driving!! You're going to do really well in your test I know it!!Glad you got to eat your curry in peace ! It is nice to have a bit of "quiet" time sometimes! Paricularly during dinner. Yesterday we had lunch at the inlaws and I couldn't get coco to sleep so MIL said to put her in the hall where I'd only hear if she was screaming, and that way I could eat in peace. By the time I'd enjoyed a quiet lesiurly lunch, Coco had gone to sleep....!!!!???
have a good day everyone, gotta try to get Coco back to sleep as she didn't have much at all last night. Think I got 1-2 hours of broken sleep...xoox

    Morning Again,
Jett has gone down for a morning sleep. I am starting three meals today, hopefully it will work to make his sleeps a little longer as he is only having 1 hour sleeps again.
Tiggy - I will pray for you that the gastro stops where it is.
Meg - Poor Coco, It is so bad when babies are sick. Good news about the sippy cup. Jett has one too. I give it to him after his solids and he has a drink, he dosn't like the water but he will have to get used to it.
Hope everyone else is doing okay.
I am thinking of you both with your babies.
Oh, My best friend just text me to tell me that her baby of is healthy, she is three and a half months pregnant and has just had the first ultra sound.
    I can't wait.

    Happy 6 Months Logan!!!

Awe Tiggy, I dont know what Gastro is, but I hope they stay free of it!

Meg I hope Coco feels better soon! Lol at her still being a little piggy!

Hey Dani! I just love reading the milestones on Jett's website! I love how they have picture links!

Christie I love the Dixie Chicks! I'll have to get that new album!! How's Owen?

EDITED TO ADD: Woops sorry forgot ya Beck! lol at my accent~! Im not the one with the accent!! hehe! I havent taken any videos lately, but maybe I'll make a special one just to send to you where Abby and I are talking in it! Sounds like Maddy will be sittin pretty soon!!

Abby is sitting for a good 5-10 minutes at a time, and now she also got up on her hands and knees today! I am so scared she is going to start crawling! I am not ready yet!! Anyway, yay my biggie girl! She isnt sitting as long as Jasmine yet, but it is a start! Jasmine is a role model to all the other babies, isnt she lol!! Abby is in SUCH a good mood today! She is just smiles and giggles all day long! We did take a 3 hour nap after a 6 year olds birthday party! That probably has something to do with it!

Well Im off to make some lasagna! Yummy yummy! HAve a good one y'all!

EDITED TO ADD: OMG Abby is spitting up sooo much latley! She sees the gastro specialist Wednesday so we'll see. I thought she was supposed to grow out of this reflux thing! Oh and guess what else! We sold my car! So now we are down to a truck that is paid off! We just had to do it. Staying at home is worth it though! I dont know what I will do without my car, I rely on it way too much! I'll probably lose weight having to walk and ride bikes places lol!

    Happy 6th Month Birthday Logan!

Meg - I'd certainly take her to the GP if I were you. I had the same problem with Maddy (she got continual colds for the first 3 months) and I didn't take her to the GP as I knew she didn't have a fever and figured there wasn't anything they could do for her anyway. Turns out she ended up with bronchitis, and I felt super guilty because perhaps if I'd taken her earlier the GP could have prescribed her some kind of med to prevent that happening. Sorry to hear you had broken sleep.

Sara - *LOL* Well, to an Aussie dominated message board, you are the one with the accent! hehe Mind you, my Mum is Canadian (I know not the same as American, but at least the same kind of accent) so the accent doesn't sound all that different to me all the time. WTG little Abby on the sitting up, and oh my goodness on the 'almost' crawling! Sounds like she'll be creeping any day now!

Dani - The colours do make it easier to read don't they? (As long as they're not yellow on my computer because that's almost impossible to read! Oh, and so is the light pink) Hope that Jett has a nice long sleep for you.

Tiff - Oh, no....Gastro! Hope that miraculously the rest of your family is spared from that, especially the little twins. If that can't happen, then I hope that it goes very quickly from your household and that no-one gets it too badly. You need a holiday treat Ma'am!

I'll be back later....Maddy is having a tantrum in her pram...Oh, forgot to mention that I gave her some rice cereal last night! She was HILARIOUS! hehe Little piggy wanted more, but the packet said just 1/2-1 teaspoon of made cereal for the first try. She got her fingers in it and everything. Had a couple of little spews later, but I think she'd gorged herself on breastmilk anyway.

DH took a couple of no-sound vids on our digital camera of her eating, so I'll see if I can send them to everyone later on! Oh, and Maddy has the same sippy cup too. She loves to drink the cold water out, so that's a good sign I guess!

Hey Sarajo - I think she will. She is Aunty Eb's, she was with me when Jett was born so I am returning the favor and am going to be there when her baby is born, I can't wait. We have been friends since high school... I can't wait, I am going to her place later to check out the ultra sound....
By the way I am still in my PJ's and have just had breaky, told you I don't get dressed till lunch some days... hehehe

oh no Tiggy, how awful. Hope no one else gets it. At least it's a short bug, but still there's nothing worse.
I thought I'd better try Coco sitting, with all the others doing so well!! Well, she sits fine, but does roll over side ways after a while!! Just goes to show how much I practice these things with her (I think it's second child syndrome, Tilly got all the special attention)!! Mind you, Tilly spends ALOT of time with Coco, so it's a different kind of attention.
Luckily Coco loves water, and has had a bit from her cup. She holds it too which is very cute!
Wow that Abby is nearly crawling. That's exciting!! I have to say though, i dont want Coco crawling for a while. I'd so love to move before she crawls (except that coudl be in 5 years) this place is just soooooo not baby proof.
On tims next pay day Im going to buy Coco a high chair. I've really bought very little for her so Im actually quite excited!! Plus the rocker is just getting too dirty! 1.5 more weeks till pay day. this monthly pay is AWFUL.
It's absolutely pouring rain here (have to say it's really nice for a change). How's the weather for everyone else?
Just got Coco up from a 2 hour nap, thank goodness for that!! Had to make up for her lack of sleep last night xoxoo

Hey Meg! How cute on Coco holding her own cup! Our weather is hot hot hot and sunny sunny sunny! Too hot to stay out long! Abby has one of those high chairs that convert into a booster!

Thanks Sarajo,! I checked it out, looks good. They sell it at Babies Galore so I'll go there and check out the rang of seats and highchairs and see what suits. I love that it folds up!! Very neat, and it lasts till their older and is cheaper than most highchairs!!
Going to attempt a trip to the supermarket now. We have a new woollies up the road, I love it (big supermarket chain sarajo) ! Just need a couple of things, like lunch!!! Im starving. Hoping coco doesn't get wet in the rain, but I think she needs some fresh air.. xo

Meg, nope, the weather is all sunny hear although the mornings are very crisp to say the least! (No chance of Bec getting out of bed when DH gets up to go to work! hehe)

Sara, you might find the mods take down that link. Not sure if it's the same since we've changed hosts; but I think the forum rules used to prevent people from linking to product websites. I could be wrong though hon, just thought I'd let you know.

*goes back to playing receptionist for John's phone calls from recruitment agencies* He's been applying for jobs, so the recruiters usually call back the next day. He applied for about 12 last night so I figure I'm gonna be busy!
