Olivia didn't sleep much and was a little cranky on and off but was good for most of the day. Just before holy she screamed the house down. and then slept 8:30 to 4:40. unfort I haven't had a chance to go back to bed as by the time she went back I had Isaac and Jacob awake **sigh** I think it's going to be a long day!

I went to the Drs about my wrists/hands yesterday. I am now waiting on an appointment with the hosp for a nerve structure test thing. No idea what they do to be honest.. For once al day yesterday it they were pretty good but late last night boy oh boy they ached...

Now dh went bck to work today so who knows what I am going to do.. Prob should do some washing ..

OK ladies, that's it for me and BF!! it's over!

Now it's expressed breast milk as long as my supply lasts and formula! Last night i had the biggest scare!! Chrissie puked up some milk, and in that milk was what looked like a little blood clot, snotty thing...about the size of half you pinky finger nail! WELL!! did it not scare the **** out of me!!! We called the 24hr MCHN and they think it was probably a cyst, or small clot from by breast milk. APPARENTLY it happens..!! well i tell you what! i't's not happening here again!! We just have to watch her and make sure it's not happening again.. so far, it was just that once... was so upset!!

Today i am thinking that possibly the "clot" was actually from Chrissie's nose..! I have been massaging the tear duct as my GP suggested and today it seems to have cleared up! This morning when she woke up her eye was pretty much clear, just a little crusty bit on the side! ALL day it has been as clear as yours or mine!! It has NEVER been like that!! And where i normally massage there used to be a hard lump.. now there isn't!

Grrr MIL turned up today and is staying over (neither of us were aware of it). So I had to make a nice dinner (when really I didn't feel like it). Also DH's aunt and uncle 'dropped in' and stayed for hours. I am so tired now as I really could have done with a nap this arvo because Olivia has been unsettled all day and woke up earlier than usual this morning

OK that was my whine for the day.

It is very quiet in here...

I took Liam back to the GP yesterday because he has just been so unsettled and not sleeping much at ll during the day for weeks now, and she has said that it looks like he has silent reflux and started him on Infants Gaviscon, we had a better day today but still had his normal unsettled time between 4-9 but I could cope with that because he had had 2 big naps during the day.

Lauren- When Tori had her needles the first time I cried my eyes out, the way they did it at the Dr was to lay her on the bed and make me hold both her legs down while they did both jabs at the same time. This time I am taking Liam to the immunisation clinic where they are much more gentle.

Liz- Liam has been escaping from his wraps easily too, I fold them in half in a triangle, this keeps his arms down but means you cant get their legs too.

Alicia- I hate it when you have visitors and all you want to do is go for a nap, or have a shower or something- espeically when people dont take the hint.

Nic- LOL at poo day, I hope it is not too stressful for you tomorrow.

Anyway I am off to bed, both babies in bed and sleeping by 8:30 which is nice, I am going to take adantage of a good nights sleep.

Alicia - I'm shocked your MIL didn't offer to make dinner herself!! I would never impose like that on a new mum.. sheesh! Hope you had a nice time with the rels tho, despite it being hard work hehe.

Ali - you're a genius! I will try the triangle thing.. I dont' need to wrap her legs.. it's just her arms that I need to keep still. I'm thinking of starting her in sleeping bags, and will need to still wrap her up top.. so this might work! Will stop it all bunching up around her waist from her kicking too. I'll let you know how it goes - will try tomorrow

    Night all.

    morning all!

nic - hasn't happened again, so thinking possibly her eye or the boob like they said! we'll never know.

    alicia
    - what a pain!!! don't they know you still need your rest!! and that MIL of yours...WT?? just inviting herself over to stay.... sounds just as bad as mine, who lets herself in, without knocking, using the spare key they have at their place!!

ali - hope that it works for you....! my MCHN said that 4-9pm is a very common unsettled time for bubs at this age..! could just be a phase..? (hate to use that word..but could be!)

liz - am looking at the gro bags for Chrissie too!... it's mainly arms i have to keep away from her face too... and she's starting to get out of the wraps and it's bunching up also! let us know how you go?!

pretty good night here! and we had a good 4-9pm period, which is usually her worst time..! she even slept until 6pm!! never happened before! so, so far so good with alternating feeds of F and EBM! she seems much happier and content!

so so so so tired here.. Olivia slept 8 till 4 but didn't go back to sleep till 6 so there goes my chance to get a bit more sleep.. and with the boys not napping anymore I believe today might suck just a little bit

Haroula: Sure is weird but at least it isn't happening again

Alicia: wow. rude? or what! I'm rude though especially if it is family. I say I will be back soon i need a nap then I would turn to Simon and say wake me in an hour ok then smile sweetly and off I would go

ali: I hope the gaviscon helps. We were told Isaac had silent reflux but they did a barium test and an Xray. as I was expressing they put him on a thickener to add to his bottles but you can give it on a spoon before a feed as well. hope you got a good nights sleep

    Liz: Hi

Trish: haven't seen you around for a few days. I hope everything is going ok

Lauren; :hugs: and ouch for your mum. that sounds super painful

Haroula: I got a couple power naps in. one was about 5 minutes and another was 10. Seems to be enough for me to have kept my eyes open

Oh and I will get the cake recipe for you too. I left the copy at MIL and now have to wait till we go to town next which will either be tomorrow or tuesday.

Olivia has been ok ish today. Was foul this afternoon but is asleeo now. She still hasn't pooped. i will have to go back and see when I posted poo day last time. I am sure we are on day 6 now

now what to do.. get up and clean... or rest some more? I should get dinner started *sigh*

oh forgot I got a swing. Well I get it tomorrow. I was telling a friend how I couldn't find one for a decent price (read cheap ) and she said she still had hers. I thought she had given hers away so thats why I didn't ask so yay..

    Hey Girls,
Bronte had her needles today & she was a little champion. Cried when they went in but that was it. Has been a bit grizzly this arvo & not feeding so well but is asleep now.
Nic - hope you are getting some zzz's as we speak or if not that they're not far away.
H - glad the EBM/ FF mix is working for you. As I've said before I'm too lazy for FF Glad Chrissie hasn't vomited up anymore more clots - phew!!
Lauren - your poor Mum - that sounds horrid & how sad she can't pick up Ash - hope she gets better soon.
Hi to everyone else - probably wont get back now til Sunday. Have a good weekend all!

hi everyone, i haven;t been around much as i'm dedicated to giving olly extra time and attention in an attempt to reduce the naughty factor - it seems to be working. he hasn't btroken anything all week, oh maybe some toys but nothing intentionally. it's a big releif and i have lower expectations/bigger tolerance now which also helps. Mylo is enormous. all that good vegan breastmilk i say. everyone is happy here and DH is once again saying we should have 10 kids. i reckon he should grow a uterus before saying that. however, i have hd a few niggling thoughts that i'm pregnant again. slight nausea occasionally, hungry in the middle of the night and needing to eat. constant cravings for chocolate muffins (which i make regularly). i still have a home pg test from last year, but it was wrong last time ( i tested negative when i was infact pregnant)
so i wont trust the result anyway. how likely is it that i conceived so soon with out af while fully bfing?

haroula- lunch i try to have a big vege/salad mix with some protein (like tofu or vege sausage) mixed in: the healthy eating guidelines say bfing women need 7 serves of veges (3.5 cups cooked veg or 7 of salad), 5 peices of fruit, 5-7 of cereal (5-7 cups of rice/pasta or breadrolls), 2 protein (=2/3 cup lentils/beans/nuts) and 2 cups of soymilk. obviously i've veganified the list, but you see what i mean. thats alot of food! i sometimes have what ever i make for olly - rice n coconut lentils w spinach for yesterday... lots of single serves in the freezer for those days when i'm not on top of things.

alicia the hair loss is spectacular isn't it? what floors do you have that u see them all? last time post preg i had tiled floors and swept up so many hairs it made my head spin. this time i have dreadlocks and timber floors and 2 kids (so no time for housework) and i haven't noticed any hair on the floor. from memory it went on for 9 months last time (at which point we moved to a place with carpet so i was probly oblivious lol).

Hi girls I am here. Lurking away. Brandon came back home from mum's house on Thursday night, basically they had decided as he wasn't listening or complying with them that they would just send him home. He was still wagging school while he was there. He got bashed up on Tuesday and had his mouth split open, poor kid looked a mess. On the upside he is being a nicer child atm. He even went to school for the whole day on Friday, spend the first 2 periods with his counsellors. And another period later on a counsellor joined him in the class. Hopefully he can see and start to appreciate and even use all this help he is being offered.

Abbey got her ears pierced yesterday, she was so brave. Yes she did cry, but not for long at all, I cuddled her and she went straight to sleep.

MTT, glad to hear that Bronte went good with her needles. Hope she slept well for you.

Nic, OMG at Olivia not pooing for 6 days. That's gonna be one heck of a poo. Hope you have a BIG nappy ready for her. Abbey didn't poo for half a day the other day and she made up for it. Usually most of her nappies are still pooey. YAY on getting a new swing for Olivia too, I bet she just loves it.

Liz, Abbey is getting out of her wraps too. They all end up around her waist, although she does still have one arm covered, sometimes anyway.

Lauren, OUCH on your mum's nails. That's got to hurt. Hope Ash is doing well.

Alicia, I hope you survived the visitors ok. And GRRRRRR to your MIL. I hope she made herself usefull while she was there.

Haroula, I remember when Brandon was only a few days old he spat up a blood clot. I took him to the GP and he checked him over and could find no cause. But as Brandon had reflux it's quite possible it came from his gut. Same as in the early days with feeding Abbey, my nipples were badly grazed and she would be drinking blood too. Poor kid, pink spew isn't the nicest stuff.

Ali, sorry to hear that Liam has silent reflux. TBH I think I'd rather the spewing reflux, atleast that doesn't seem to hurt them too much. Hoping that the Gaviscon is still working for you both.

Best go and eat my breakfast. DP has made me eggs on toast with tomato. Which would be yummy except that I have just had a bowl of cereal !!!

Abbey has just gone back to bed after laying nappyless on the floor for about 30 minutes.

    Have a great day girls

ETA, OMG Xtml. Do you want to be preg again ?? Do let us know how the test goes. And I would thing that as you are fully breastfeeding and given Mylo's age you should be pretty right. But it's not like it isn't possible either.
