Rosehip Lady Fairy: Thanks! It's not my birthday though, although I'm happy to take a bonus birthday! I'm going to tell DP that he forgot! naughty man! My b'day is not till 6 Jan.

Michelle: I think Quinn is trying to say "ball" he sys "Bor" when he plays with his soccer ball - or wants to play with it and he says Muma everytime he wants milk How exciting going to Thailand, wish i was going too!

Cate: Poor you - sounds like an awful situation to be be in - I think a counselling session or two just to see what it's like is a good idea. Also the thirsty tired thing CAN be an indication of diabetes, although I'm with Kel, it's probably just stress and exhaustion. Being a mum is such hard work! Especially when you add all of the other stuff you're doing right now!

Tashie/Jayne: Quinn had his 8 teeth at just before 7 months, he hasn't got anymore since. DP had 16 teeth at 10 months so Quinn has a couple of weeks to get 8 more if he's going to catch him (Gawd I hope not!!!!!!).

Re: public floor crawling...nope - I don't let Quinn on the floor in public like restaurants/shopping centres etc, he's too fast and grabby, he wants to grab everything and climb on everything and put everything in his mouth, obviously at places like gymbaroo etc I do...but agree with Michelle on the shards of glass and all sorts of stuff on floors.

re: Food. Quinn has either Quinoa cereal or buckwheat cereal for breakfast with fruit - usually mango or banana, he had blueberries yesterday. And a piece of spelt toast with flaxseed oil on it. Then at lunchtime he has veggies with Quinoa or whatever grain I am making at the time - all sorts of veggies - mushrooms, pumpkin, beans, silverbeet, carrot, zucchini...then in the afternoon he has more fruit - usually watermelon or pears or an apple or mango then the same for dinner as he had for lunch. Sometimes he will have more spelt toast during the day if we are going for a long walk in the pram and he is getting a bit irritable. And yes I know - I am a major food hippy!

Perhaps the counselling will be good.

I've been taking long nanna naps now. Its not good. From 1ish to 3ish I sleep. It starts off with me being very dizzy and then irritable at Ellie as she just wants to play with me. Then I fall asleep. For hours. Its not good. I see doc tomorrow.

Kirtsten, wow, your food sounds yummy! Terry's really getting into the healthier stuff and wants to make barley grain bread. Well he wants barley flour. Hmm its all good I guess.

Ellie says mumma and dadda and nana and baba. She says nana when she's getting cranky at eating the nana (banana) and baba just when she's playing. She is one adventurous girl! She loves to climb on things and over things and races across the floor. I really need to get her a playgym climbing thing. Gotta go, nappy change!

Catherine - I am sorry to hear that things are that bad. I agree with Michelle and I'd book in to go to a counsellor. But I also agree that no money is worth saying in a bad relationship. Give it all you can to get the relationship back on track and if it doesn't work, then get out while you are still young and before it starts affecting El. El needs to brought up in a loving environment and some times that is better with one parent. There are plenty of single parents out there that are doing it on their own and I am sure that you too will be fine. If anything, you might be more organised, settled and happier. Jayne and I can put our hands up and agree that life can be easier on your own.
Also, your friend that we met up with for coffee that day, the one that was sitting next to you (can't remember her name). I saw her today and was unintentionally rude. Can you please apologise to her for me. It wasn't until after she left that I worked out who she was. TIA

Catherine - I just walked into Gymbaroo (after a fast 40minute walk) and there was heaps of mums and babies around with the changeover of classes. I walked over to the chairs and just happened to pull up next to Mel. She was feeding her bub. She asked how Tobi was. I said fine, all good etc. And then another girl came and sat between us. I got up and chatted briefly and then went to sit down to start the class. At that stage I just thought she was another Mum from Gymbaroo in the same class as me, as I recognised her and she knew Tobi's name. I had only been to that Gymbaroo class once or twice and hadn't really gotten to know anyone yet. So I thought that she'd follow over and sit with me and we'd keep chatting. It wasn't until after she'd left I realised that she wasn't part of my class and I must have met her some where else. Don't you hate when that happens. Thats when I worked out who she was and how rude I must have been just to walk away without saying goodbye or anything. I felt so bad. I really didn't mean to be rude and blow her off. ...Does that all make sense?

TASHIE _ Ummah, you brown cow to Cate's friend. LOL. Just kidding. I have to respond to your e-mail but as I promised myself I'd go to bed at 9:30 & it's not 10:20, I'll have to do that tomorrow! LOL.

CATE _ It sounds to be like there is some really big issues going on with you & you need to make the decision on whether you want to go ahead & take the appropriate steps to give the relationship another go (counselling) or to just make a clean break. Also, you have little El to consider & you want her to remember her baby years as full of love & laughter rather than moody parents. Also, SLOW DOWN!!!!!!!!! My goodness, you're like a little hurricane of activity PLUS you have a bub! I'm glad you're having a sleep in the afternoons, because you need it honey!

KIRSTEND _ Oh my, Quinn is a very well fed little boy! Good on you for being so good with the food! I will sadly put my hand up & say I have no clue what quinoa is. Yes, I have heard of it it, but no, I have no clue what it is. My goodness, I can't believe how quickly his teeth come up! Does it make him look much older than what he is? I know of a little girl who's 14 months & just cut her first tooth! Incredible. Is Quinn still loving swimming?

IMPATIENT _ Claudia is a fan of 'if you're happy & you know it SPLASH your hands' & tries to splash, even when she's on the floor. Jessica sings it. Oh my lordy with Thailand! HOw cool is that! You're so lucky. Can I come too? How long are you going for? You're going to get some really cool outfits for Bella!

SMYLIE _ What is with Jemima & the screaming? That's heartbreaking to hear when she's such a happy girl. I hope she is ok now & sleeping until 7am for you. How is the kitchen reno's coming along? What ended up happening with her bottom sitatuion?

RYN _ I have no answers about the green CM. Is it still there? I haven't had AF since Claudia arrived either, but I have noticed a big increase in CM & I'm hoping that AF is not on her way. I'm glad that Liebs is giving some windows of better sleep. The cheeky rat of having a good play in bed though! Ummah!

KYM _ What a great idea about Christmas. I start buying Christmas presents from June. I endeavour to buy one every fortnight. I also just grab things when I see them if they're on sale to put away. I have Jessica's birthday in December too, as well as Christmas so I get hit up in every direction. What is on Monkey's Christmas list? Have you seen all the cute 'baby's first christmas' stuff? I have to go get Claudia her first christmas bauble engraved. I got one for jessica & it's adorable, it just says Jessica's first christmas 2004 & so i'm going to get claudia one the same.

ME/CLAUDIA- I can't believe I"m goign to say this, but claudia has a ROUTINE! OMG it's finally happened. She goes to bed & puts herself ot sleep without a PEEP! She is eating better, breastfeeding longer & like a different child. Somethign just 'clicked' I think. She is still battling two ear infections though, because her AB's are nearly finished & I had her ears checked & they haven't improved, but the Dr is happy to leave them until they start giving her trouble again & I have to continue on with another repeat of AB's. But we are having one problem & it is BITING MY BOOB! OMG I nearly cried today. There were teeth marks & everything. I jumped a mile & shrieked & she cried cos she got a fright. Tears rolled down her cheeks, but I'm hoping the little fright has put a stop to it. She has done it at the same feed the last two days, so it better stop tomorrow. I'm so sorry for the bad spelling, I'm so tired. I have to go catch some z's!

Kel - Harrison started screaming last night too... We think it may have to do with him teething, so we put some bonjela on him and put him to bed and he was fine after that. One thing that we have found to be a brilliant help when we're having a rough night with Harrison is to give him a bath in Bedtime Bath, then to put Baby Balsam on him... these 2 things combined guarantee a good nights sleep for both Harrison and us. I'm not sure how you feel about using commercial branded baby products, obviously I have never had a problem with them... if you don't mind them, give them both a try. Baby Balsam is similar to Vicks, but for babies/toddlers... it has lavender, rosemary, and eucalyptus oils in it. Thanks also for asking after my Mum... she is getting better but she has been told through numerous specialists etc that she may never be able to work again, so she is on a Disability Support Pension now, which has been fairly upsetting for her as she was a very active and social person before her accident.
Catherine - Good on you for doing WIRES... DH and I have considered doing it up here, but we really don't have much time these days with 3 kids. Oh, also congrats on your job... how exciting for you. I agree that counselling sounds like the best option for you and Terry... If things don't work out in the end, at least you know you tried, and you're not left with "What if"'s
Ryn - Thanks for the birthday wishes for my Mum... she has had one shocker of a year, so she loved her birthday weekend. I think you wished Kirsten a Happy Birthday at the same time last year too!!! lol... I only remember because my birthday was yesterday and I wonder if you have us confused? lol
Kym - We only buy Xmas presents here for the kids... plus our neices and nephews... otherwise it gets too expensive... as DH is one of 5 and so am I. The way we look at it is that Xmas is for kids, so they are the most important. We do make food baskets up as presents to give to people though... they are fairly inexpensive so I often forget about them.
Kirsten - Harrison says Ball exactly the same way "Bor" he does it whenever he sees or holds a ball... thats how we knew thats what he was saying. My boy is a chatterbox though, just like his Mum and Dad! lol.
Jayne - Yay Claudia on the routine!! What a good bubba putting herself to sleep like that. Keep up the fantastic work princess

Sorry to anyone I have missed... it is so hard to keep up these days!

In regards to crawling in public... the only public type place that I let Harrison crawl is at the ECHC... otherwise, no way... never at restaurants etc because of the same reasons others have stated. Some might think I am overly fussy, but I figure it is better to be safe than sorry... I am also not a domestic goddess, but at least I have an idea of what is on the floors of my own home.

Us - We went for our first big pool swim yesterday... there was a spare lane in the 50m pool, so Harrison and I took it over. Not long after, many other Mums and Bubs joined in... I am thinking about asking the pools to keep 1 lane available to Mums and Bubs... I remember when I was pregnant with Madeleine, I would pop James into a chair-like floatie, and I would hold it and kick behind him, almost like using a kick board... it was great for my pregnancy fitness, and James had a ball of a time sitting back watching the swimming world go by... I am sure there are other Mums who would like to be able to do a similar thing too. I had a lovely night... DH made me an Orange and poppyseed cake for my birthday (my fave) it was so nice... Harrison loved watching the candles on my cake too, and he definitely enjoyed the cake!! lol

okey pokey just call me martha! i just made jemima's lunch in my 3/4 done kitchen.... grrrrr loser kitchen guy didnt come yesterday to finish and hasnt rung yet this morning.... loser ANYWAYS i got my bread cut off the crusts (fed crusts to dogs so they love me too) and rolled them with rolling pin (may be first time i used it!) and bit of marg bit of vegemite and rolled them up! next step is for princess to eat them at lunch time.... i will be bringing back up yogurt!!! but thanks for tip jayne!

jemima woke again some weird morning time and then UP at 5am... I AM SO LUCKY benji gets up and plays with her and feeds her or whateva she wants until he leaves at 7am but i am wondering what i did different last weekend for her to sleep til 7 no wake up..... oh well i'll keep on truckin she is happy and i dont mind one quick wake up as she just feeds to sleep when she wakes so no biggy

swimming lessons today and lunch at friends place and then maybe i'll have time to get some photos printed that i took for xmas... i OF COURSE dressed jemima up all xmas like and bought a cheap HUGE candy cane for her to play with pretty cute so that is our xmas card this year.... on saturday i havent told benji yet but we are going to take her for santa photo!!!! kirsten did you say quinn had gotten santa photo??

Kel - Harrison is having Santa photos done this weekend too... the big kids will be getting in there with him also (much to Jamie's dismay!) I am so looking forward to having them done

Happy Birthday Lisa! Geez I'm slow.

Terry and I are breaking up very amicably. We just aren't happy together. I want him to be more intimate, he doesn't and he doesn't want me to be unhappy. So its all ok. I'll be moving out not too far from him when I get things sorted. I just need to be on my own for a while. I'm not getting back together with ex either. He's still the same as ever (he left me as he thought I was settling down and he got scared) but we've talked heaps over the last 2 years. I just need to be on my own. Elouise is still going to have Terry as daddy, that will never change. I'm not moving her away from him. Basically I just can't live with Terry anymore. I need a new partner eventually. But I'm in no rush and just need time to settle into a new life. I'm waiting for work to tell me when I'm starting.

Don't be upset for me, things are fine. Terry and I are still great friends and always will be, we just can't be a couple.

CATE - I"m sorry that your relationship has ended. But on the flip-side, I'm glad that El is now going to have two parents who are stressed less & are much more happier, & that happiness will rub off on her. Kel: Yes we got santa photos done on Sunday - I recommend to all of you - go as EARLY as you can manage to get there. The line up is not fun for babies. or parents for that matter

Jayne - I made your sandwich special today for Tobi. I can it up a little at first and then gave him the sandwich stick and he managed to bite of bits (a first!!). I put cheese on it too.

Lisa - Happy birthday. Hope you had a great day. Tell your DH that we are all proud AND jealous that he made you a cake.

When is everyone else's birthdays or birthday months if you would prefer not to give out that much detail?

jem is teething and has temp and 2 projectile vomits in 4 days and trouble sleeping and needy
so was not all that interested in my sandwiches.... she did eat half of one though
ho hum still no kitchen

xmas shopping with above child.... GREAT fun....... but am almost done so can just sit back and watch everyone else go insane closer to xmas
