Just checking in for the morning before work! Zander had an absolute shocker which resulted in me being up about 8 times & Aaron 5 times. I have no idea what's going on, other than it wasn't the milk that was causing it :S We sooo need to organise this room change now I'm really getting over walking from one end of the house to the other so mny times of a night. Anyways better be off to work *yawn*
Sorry to hear you had such a crappy night Sarah. I hope that you can keep your eyes open today at work
I thought that we were going to have a shocker lastnight too. Tehya was in bed about 8pm, but was up again about 9.30 then again around 11pm. Tried to pat her back off in the cot but she wasn't having a bar of it. Picked her up and she was resettled in about 5 miuntes if that. She didn't wake again until nearly 3 am, had booby then up again another time before waking for good at 6. Hmmm re reading that sounds like a shocker but that was a good night for us.
Sarah, when are Tehya and Zander just going to "get it" with sleeping???? I really hope that it's soon.
Grrr @ your crappy nights guys! Wish there was something I could do to help I just dunno how you both function with such little sleep. I'm pretty spoilt.
Looks like no work today. Well.. there's still an hour before school but, if they ring me now, there'd be no point. By the time Mum gets here and I've gotten ready, it'd be 10am, LOL. Woo hoo! I get to go to playgroup for the first time in a month or so!! Yay!
I thought I was going to be joining you but all worked out ok.
We no longer have dummies and we are still getting used to it. Plus I have changed their beds around, Violet is now in the big cot (not game enough to let her sleep with out the side) and Emily is Alecia's old bed (we got Alecia a double).
We brused our teeth and had stories in bed. She knew what was going on and tried to crack 'em a few times, but I distracted her. After stories I switched the light out and sat beside her bed and sang lullabys and she was asleep in a minute!
She woke about 5 times during the night, but I only got up to her once, I sat by her bed with my hand on her... the other times I just let her have a sook for a few minutes and she put herself back to sleep
So I think it is going really well with no dummies!!
I noticed last night that she has two half molars up top...poor kid.
Emily and Wato stayed at Wato's brothers for the night and Emily did a massive poo in the middle of the night... she has been constipated for about a week so It was a big one!! poor little mite.
Hey all - sounds like the night for bad sleeping. we had one too - although it all seems par for the course these days. Shane was happy to go to her at 3am though as yesterday morning when she came into bed at 5am whe only wanted to snuggle with me. So he was seriously missing her daddy snuggles.
Well the limp miraculously disappeared at the dr - of course!! But our dr was great, took me very seriously and gave me a referral to a childrens orthapedic specialist. I rang this morning and guess when our appt is....... 13th Decmeber!!!!! Can you believe it? So she said if it gets bad again, she wants to know and I'm to ring and she will arrange to have the appt brought forward.
But our GP was great - she checked Jennas ears as we are all getting a bug, and then checked my rashy tummy, and my ears too cause they were sore, and then gave Shane a repeat of his script. Normally she bulk bills us for Jenna, but charged us $50 which I think was pretty good for a triple appt!!
Tanya - it sounds liek you guys are going great guns without the dummies. Well done. Isn't it nice not to have to clean them anymore and worry about where they are being dropped? As for the little girl - well you guys are probably like us - we didn't care what or when we had one, as long as we had one asap. M/c tend to do that for you huh?
Trish - photos sounds cute! I miust get more organised for Jenna. I have no interest in being in them - Blurgh fat me, not neccessary!! How bloody hilarious on the doodle front I would have been trying not to laugh if I was the teacher!
Deb - I'm sure that you could use your sisters scrapping stuff, but if not, you are more than welcome to come over and use mine to make a card for Neil. You should see Jenna's one!! I left it out of course, so Shane hasn't said he has seen it, but I know he has....
Simone - Idont think its an issue for people if Xander wants to kiss mummy's boobies better. I'm sure he wont get an Oedipus complex just yet.
Sarah - I hope work doesn't drag too slowly for you. How many hours a week are you doing??
Just a little boohoo to say I got a parking ticket today I'm appealing it cause it all doesn't make sense as out times were correct and everything like that. I think I might have put the money into Bay 5, not our Bay 4. Hopefully they let us away with it!! I'm very, very angry with myself - especially since I wasn't overstaying in the park, and I actually put the money in the bloody meter!!
Awww Fi, that sucks hun. I hope that your appeal goes through for you. Noah's teacher was laughing when she told me about it, apparently she had to turn her head s that he couldn't see the smile on her face.
How typical is it that Jenna's limp goes the minute you get her to the Dr's. What a long wait for the specialist too.
Deb, how did your day go?? Did you end up getting to playgroup?? I survive on stress during the day to keep me going I seem to have an abundent supply of it lately.
Tanya, sounds like the girls are going great without their dummies. I bet it's a relief that it happened relatively pain free.
Went out shopping with Nadine and our little girls today, had a good day out. On the way home, about 5 minutes from home Tehya was car sick AGAIN. Of course this time she had more than milk in her belly. She'd had fruit salad for lunch and it was everywhere. Thank God that I was on my way home. I took her straight in for a bath.
After I got Noah from preschool, I set him and Tehya up out the back with a canvas each and some paint and brushes. Tehy had one of Noah's old shirts on and Noah one of Brandon's. They looked so cute out there painting. Theyt are supposed to be suprises for Mark for Fathers Day, and they will be if I can keep Noah's trap shut. Tehya ended up just using her hands, oh and the top half of her body.
Of course I got heaps of pics of them too.
Tehya has learnt how to take her clothes off She was jsut out the back with Mark, she had on a singlet and her shorts, she comes in and shows me that her shorts oare off, so down to nappy and singlet. Then she starts taking the singlet off, which she did too!! Now she is only in a nappy and I just heard Mark tell her, No Tehya, leave your nappy on, so she must be trying that too.
Oh, of all my kids to be streakers it has to be my girl. HEHE. Not like me at all. I prefer my clothes ON!!
LOL Trish at Tehya and her stripping Jenna has taken her nappy off a couple of times now - I have had to choose very carefully what nappies go on during her afternoon sleep! Usually pants over the top stops her pulling her nappy off. I can just picture coming in and finding poo everywhere since she always poos after her lunchtime sleep.
I can't wait to see some photos of Tehya painting too! Make sure you let us know when they go on your site.
What about trying those little wrist bands for when you are in the car? Or maybe try and hunt down a homeopathic remedy you could give her just before driving somewhere? Worht a crack to stop all the puke. I sympathise with her - I get terribly sick too - specially with some peoples driving....
Fi - glad your GP was so accomodating. OMG @ not getting into the orthapedic specialist for so long. Sheesh! And GRRRRR @ the parking ticket. I hope your appeal works - surely you can plead "preggy brain"? I hope Shane is appropriately surprised when he sees his father's day card!! Nordy boy for looking at it! Thanks for the offer of using your stuff. We ended up buying a card and we got him a Street Machine magazine.. LOL. Cheap and nasty but, hey... we be pooor!
Trish - aawwwww that painting session sounds adorable!! What a great idea! I hope Noah can keep his "trap" shut, LOL. What a mystery with Tehya spewing so much! Poor chook! And poor you. Gab had a chuck the other night after her bottle. Just a little one tho. Urrrrrrrghhh the stench!! Their vomits are hideous now that they are older (not that they were delightful before!!). LOL @ your little stripper!! I used to be one of them when I was her age. I'd get my cloth nappies off (the ones with the pins) and run around nudey every chance I got! God help the planet if I did that now. Ewwwwwwwww!
LOL, Fi. It probably is my driving too. Poor bubba. I used to get car sick when I was young although not as a baby. Thanks for the ideas to help combat it. I will definately look into them. It doesn't happen everytime thankfully, but stilll it atleast once out of three trips.
I am dreading Tehya taking off her nappy with a poo too. As it is she finds the bum wipes or a nappy and comes to tell me. God forbid that I didn't change her right away. She'd probably start herself
I'm planning on starting to tt her soon, fingers crossed she goes quick. Hmm another step closer to being a big girl
ETA. Sorry Deb posting at the same time. Looks like I got Noah to slep without spilling the beans. Oh well, even if he does say something Mark won't have seen them until Sunday. LOL at you streaking now, I'm sure that Neil would love it hun, who cares what anyone else thinks.
If Tehya is to become a streaker then I'd better start washing her in sunblock, my poor lilly white baby.
KWYM about the spew too, this fruit salad wasn't so yummy yummy (can you tell I watch too much Wiggles?)
And again to say that I have put Tehya and Noah's painting pictures onto her site

Great shots Trish. I'm surprised you were able to hold the camera steady! I would have possibly been laughing too hard..... Or trying to grab stuff to stop them painting on the house!
Trish - LOL @ the lily-white baby. Gab's the same... any money she'll be covered in freckles by the time she's 5!! Just like Mummy and Daddy!! hehehe.
AWWWW the pictures are great!! They both look so cute doing their portrait! Clever little monkeys!
Fi, I was way too busy, I ended up passing the camera to Joel to get most of the shots. Suprisingly, other than all over their hands and arms they didn't realy get it anywhere else. As you can see in the pic's I covered the table with newspaper. Actually now that I think of it, Tehya got paint on the back of one of the seats.
Deb, Noah already has a quite a few freckles on his face, over his nose. Tehya has a few small ones under her eyes too. They are smothered in sunblock when we take them out. Don't have much choice with our little reds !!
Gee it's quiet in here. Cat got everyone's fingers. Or is life so boring that there is nothing to talk about
We had a really nice weekend. Mark took the boys out on Saturday to the rugby with a friend and her son and I stayed at her house for abit before we ventured off to the shops. Then Sunday we had a nice morning at home. Gave Mark his pressies, he loved the paintings by the kids. Had a bbq at Mum's house with my family and Mark's parents, SIL and kids came up too, so a busy house.
How was everyone's Fathers Day. I know that Deb bought Neil a gorgeous card from Gab, but what else did he get?? How about you with Shane, Fi? Tanya??
LOL Trish.. yep, it's pretty quiet, hey?
Neil got a Street Machine magazine, LOL. Not much but we're really struggling with the $$ atm so that's all we could afford. He was happy tho. He sat on the couch with his mag, a beer and watched the car races at Sandown... can't get much better than that!
Glad Mark loved his painting from the kids. They're certainly priceless pieces of artwork, hey?
Neil didn't come home until Saturday night so I just spent the day pottering around. Sunday wasn't much different until later in the arvo when I thought I'd better go and see my Dad. He got a card and a 4 pack of Guinness cans.
Neil had today off so we went to have a look at a car for him (just a little 4 cylinder run-about for work... nice and cheap). Then we went to pick up our camper trailor.
The house is looking decidedly empty. Everything will be out by the end of next weekend... scary!
Deb, the time together matters more than a present. Mark only asked for my body It sure was an expensive present
So did you end up getting the car?? Wow your move is coming up so fast. I bet you'll be glad when it's all over with
Aww Noah just hurt his foot out the back and was bellowing like a wounded bull (he's a big sook) anyway he comes in still bawling and I give it a kis better. In that instant the tears and crying stop. Don't you just love the magic of Mummy's kisses....
