Enigma - having had many an IV in life I have had numerous lumps in the IV veins over time (sometimes quite painful) - I was prescribed Hirudoid as a child to rub on it. These days it's sold over the counter as a bruise and swelling reducing cream. Get it checked by your doc but just thought I'd mention this in case you need something in between times. Can't help with the epidural site though.
