Ali it could also be what Cody had its called Rosela it looks like measles but the rash usually disappears after 24-48hrs.
Bath thanks for the offer on doing my avatar that would be great. Irang and left a message on Thursday and still haven't heard back yet, so if I don't get a call back by tomorrow then it may have to wait another few weeks , but I will get there lol.
Mel lol at been your BOM, well today was quite warm, we had the air-con on was nice.
Nic NYE for us will be camping and 4wding tomorrow arvo and night, the first time in nearly 6 yrs that we have done something with other people. Love the new pic in your ticker, he's growing up so quick and sitting all by himself now thats great.
As for us I'm trying to introduce a second meal for Cody now but he doesn't seem to like the pumkin and sweetcorn or sweetcorn and chicken so far. He will eat rice cereal and apples and pears but nothing else, does anyone have any suggestions?
Amanda: hey send (email) me a pic of yourself... or a description....I can see what all your boys look like from the Santa pic on your site. ETA: Ok, done your boys
oh i think i have it, is it a garbage song?? Bath- can u use a soft breast pad inside your bra that will help?? maybe u already are?
that new pic on Nixon's ticker is a professional photo that along with 2 others (just uploaded them on website) were Nixon's gift to dh for xmas. he didnt even know we had them done and he loves them! i just took a photo of them. Hey jess- hope u and the fam are well. Al i-poor tori, i hope she doesnt have german measels, what can u give for it?
Awwww What a little man! Nixon's ticker piccy is gorgeous... going to check out his website soon...
Nipple wounds: I haven't tried wearing a sheild/pad in my bra because I think it would stick to it too. Maybe just a tiny dab of Vaseline? just something to stop it sticking until it stops weeping. It's only small... smaller than a centimeter long... but geeze it hurts! And the whole underside of my nipple feels grazed and really stings when he sucks... however if i feed him in a slightly different position it does kinda help, or if I kinda rotate my boob around a bit whilst he feeds if that makes any sense.
Hiya Jess... staying home for NYE? or still up at your mum's? Hope all's well
Ali - hope Tori is OK. Don't know much about German Measles, can you guys catch it too? Didn't you say you were going to a wedding or something out tonight?
Nickers - Nixon's photo is just beautiful, I can understand why DH loved it! I just want to kiss his chubby little cheeks (or squeeze them LOL!!). Has DH got his TV set up yet? Men and their toys.
Bath - you can use the pawpaw cream or lansinoh (sp?) nipple cream (the hospital told me I could use either for cracked nipples) and both are safe for baby. The lansinoh is a special nipple cream. You poor thing, it must hurt!
Amanda - have fun camping for NYE. Not sure what else to try Cody with, I am still just happy Marley will eat one cube of pumpkin each night LOL!! Have you tried broccoli? Its something they either love or hate. Sweet potato/zucchini?
Jess - have a great NYE, wherever you will be. Is Liz OK?
Just had a friend over for dinner, he has just left. Chelsea was hyper tonight, don't know why but she is normally not like that. My brother and his girlfriend took her to the movies today to see Happy Feet - she loved it! Marleys eczema has flared up again. It has been so good this week, but the weather has been cooler. Soon as it starts to warm up it gets worse. Think I will take her to GP next week and get the referral to the paed skin specialist. I want to get it sorted out before we go to Noosa.
Must go to bed as it will be a late one tomorrow.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL JUNIES AND THEIR FAMILIES. Have lots of fun and don't drink too much
Thanks Mel, I think I'll get some pawpaw cream...I've heard so many good things about it and verity has also developed a small patch of eczema on her face too. I hope you find something that helps Marley too. Verity used to get small patches on her thighs but they haven't come back since I told her to stop sitting in soapy water in the bath. I've told her to stop using soap on her face too but I think I need to try the pawpaw. I've put lip balm on Niall's bite.
Rang Nurse On Call last night because Niall's temp was getting close to 40'C and he's had it since Thursday. He still has no other symptoms and isn't particularly irritable either. She recommended going to a doctor today but he has woken up much cooler... it's always the way. Still she put my mind at ease as she ran down a list of things to look out for. Such a good service.
DH is taking FIL and the kids to the Diamond valley railway soon... so it will be just Niall and I Going to check out the FlyLady site for some cleaning tips... going to do a big tidy up before I relax tonight.
nurses on call is a great network, we rang it once when we only had Nixon home a few weeks and being new parents had no idea what was wrong with him (think it was the beginging of his reflux) i dont know that they have this in all states but definatley think they should.
oh is that the little railway bath in eltham? i was going to take nixon to it today only cause the neighbour gave us a couple of vouchers that expire after today! ive just gotta shoot off and get this slushy stuff from campberwell so i have time to freeze it for tonight then if its not raining was going to take him.
Nic: Yep... they should be there by now... it's fantastic.
I'm sooo tired but there's so much i want to get done while they are away.... and Niall has just dropped off to sleep... I know I should have a nap... I just don't want to see the New year in with a filthy bathroom! LOL
The kids were up at 6am this morning because Wade fell out of Verity's bed and then for God-knows-what reason Verity managed to staple her fingers! (at about 6.30am) I had to pull it out whilst still trying to wake up after just dosing off ... good grief, kids! you can never predict what's around the corner with 'em! Anyhow, they should be tired enough to have an early night tonight at least.
oh well... kettle's boiled... cuppa time... then I probably should rest.
quick one from me - Dee I know the feeling when you lose posts! Bath maybe Niall has what Flynn had - herpangina (infant foot and mouth) he has high temp but no other symptoms too
Hello to everyone else - we are off to mates place in hurstbridge before going to vietnamese restuarant for dinner then on to a party - not sure how long we will stay though!!
been real good today - more cleaning! and culled my wardrobe - got rid of about 1 garbage bag of stuff. can't believe all my stuff now fits in one wardrobe
damn - DH just found a case of rose from Evans and Tate which we should of drank 2 years ago. would have been one of those winery bargains where you say "hey, lets buy a case and drink em over this summer!" Err, that summer was 2 years ago!! Damn, danm - just tried one and it is past it  that'll teach us! that's what you get when you have 500 odd bottles and nop cataloging system.
maybe instead of a c0cktail party we should have a wine party!!!!!
Bath I have to agree that the nurse otline number thing is great, what a fantastic innovation to stop worried parents (and lots of other people too I am sure) going out of their mind with worry and wondering what to do in certain situtaions.
I hope everyone is prepred for a great new years. We are not doing anything this year, too tired- plus we have such a crazy hectic schedule over the next month that we really need to spend some time at home.
Tori still has a rash, but no fever or anything, I am going tot ry and hold off taking her to the Dr. untill Tues when my normal GP is open, I dont fancy sittin at an afters hours surgery for up to 2 hours to see a Dr. If she gets any worse we will go though.
Last night was my best friends "birthday party"- DH ended up staying home with Tori as we didnt think it was fair to get her baby sat. Anyway I turn up for this birthday party at a lovely winery and it turns out to be a suprise wedding. I had guessed ages ago that they were going to get married, my friend has been dodging me and avoiding so many of my questions latley- and saying some really bizare things that I was 99% certain they were going to get married. It was a lovely simple ceremony- we went out tot he casino afterwards, I had a few drinks but I am pleased to say that other than being tired I am not feeling too bad today.
Anyway I want to wish everyone a very happy new year and a prosperous 2007
I posted a nice big post which took ages and two phone call interuptions to write and it's not here, Grrrrrrrrrrrr. It obviously got lost in cyberspace somewhere, I did get a not responding notice up the top, so I waitede an pressed the button again and it was gone.
Anyway, I was just hoping that everyone had a great christmas and wished everyone a very happy and healthy new year.
We bought a house, it has all gone through, just waiting for settlement date now. We bought in Upper Coomera on the Gold Coast., Yippee for us, my house is a shambles. Packing slowly as I lent all my boxes to a friend who moved into Rocky and am getting them back in dribs and drabs, It's O.K though as the house isn't ours til the 19th anyway.
Had a bit of a panic attack this morning over thinking about how big my kids will be next Christmas. DH and I are having a quiet one tonight but were talking about next year and said since we will be living down there we will go to the beach for New Year's next year and I thought about the kids ages, Nathan will be 18 months old, OMG that's too big, No, he's growing to fast my girls will be 11, 9, 5 and 3. We discussed having another baby and me falling in Sept of next year, to make us a nice even number again, lol.
Christmas, I got annoyed with my darling sister, who bought my 10 and 8 year old daughters mobile phones for christmas. She's like ohh but they will need one down there, It will make it so much easier for them to call you to come and get them and I'm like Karen, Where are they going without me??? They are 10 and 8, seriously. My BIL says" Ohh are you Ok with the phones" ( I was pretending to not really care) I said Ohhh it's Ok, he says Oh but you were adamently opposed to them having one and I said "And yet you still bought them one???"
It's OK her princess of a daughter will want a belly ring or a tat and her hair dyed in different colours at about 14 y/o Aunty Dee just won't be able to disappoint her, lol.
Noooo, I'm not spiteful at all.
Other then that and her having a go at me not drinking with her we had a great Christmas.
Just thought I'd let you know I have added a couple of Chrissy Photo's to the homepage.

: added stuff, lol
Bath - how's the bite? Hope you manage to get some rest before the family get home. Its amazing how much more you can get done when there is no one in the house. Has Verity tried one of your MooGoo soaps - maybe they might be mild enough for her skin. Soap really does dry out skin, someone told me the Dove soap was good for young kids skin or bodyshop stuff? Not sure if she is into that or not. I am still trying to work out how you staple your finger LOL!!!
Rory - thanks for email about Dr for Marley. Will see what happens with the specialist as its a bit of hike if I need to keep going back! Wish he was closer to me!!! Well done on the wardrobe clean out - its so liberating (I recently did mine too). Bummer about the wine! Excuse to replenish the stock.
Ali - how exciting, the surprise wedding! Sounds like you had a great night, and even better without a hangover or too tired. Glad to hear Tori's symptoms haven't gotten worse.
Dee - congratulations on your new house. I bet you can't wait to move in. Your ticker photo of Nathan is gorgeous. What things is he up to with solids, rolling etc? We have been following the progress of the other babies and have come to the conclusion that some of the girls are late bloomers!!! Good one you for wanting more kids - I would love a big family. Too scary to think of next xmas - but I agree when you say they will be 18 mths they sound too big!
IK - hope NZ is treating you all well. Have a fab new year!
Dee- Congratulations on the house! how exciting! hehehe i love that pic of Nathan in the bathroom sink! too cute
We went to the little railway bath, the passes i had were buy one get one free i had 3 but only used one, had we have planned i could have given them to your dh to use, i end up giving them to a man on the way out lining up with his 2 daughters, he didnt speak well english and thought i was trying to sell them to him!! once he understood i was giving them to him he thanked me and we were on our way. Anyway i wish i had of known about this train earlier, we could have taken our neice/nephew on times they have been to visit us, It goes for a lot longer then what i thought it would too. Simone have u been there? your boys would love it. Hey maybe one day we could all meet down there, go on the train and come back to my place for coffee?? (only 10mins from home opperates wed & sun)
wine party/****tail party im up for all of it any of it, if i am leaving melb in the next few months i wanna do a few catch ups b4 hand.
anyway i hope everyone enjoys their night, will speak to you in the new year and thanks for everyone's support through out the past 12months, through the exciting times, scarey times, happy & sad, tough, rough and most amazing times, you all helped me through this journey of 2006 and i thank all of you lovely ladies for being a part of my life.
Hmmm... odd things happening with the site... keeps asking me to log in even though I'm already logged in... maybe this is why you lost your post Dee! I think we should all make sure we save our posts for a while girls.
ETA: Ahhhh! I just noticed my "super regular" status which has replaced my "teenrager" status... I suspect this might have something to do with the site glitches... wonder if it's over now?
